Headline: UGA Blog has moved to a new page; come visit and remember to bookmark!

No, we didn’t quit covering Georgia. We’ve just had a little digital format change and our UGA Blog and daily coverage has shifted to another place.

Beginning now, this blog is moving to a new home within AJC Sports. In fact, we’ve already got news posted over there, such as THIS POST on what Virginia Tech’s recent overtures will mean for Georgia offensive coordinator Mike Bobo.

We are making some other changes that we hope the members of this blog community will enjoy. Game stories, features and articles and player profiles will move from the blogs into our sports news pages. The blog will focus on the issues you and others are talking about, with opinion and analysis front and center.

Readers will now be asked to register before posting comments in the blogs and stories. We value the spirited discussion and debate, and believe this change will improve the interactivity for everyone.

Bookmarks and RSS feeds: If you visit the blog from a bookmark or use an RSS reader, you will need to update those links.

Thanks for being part of the ajc.com Sports community.

Again, HERE IS THE LINK TO THE NEW UGA BLOG. See y’all there.

Geez Chip, can’t handle dissenting opinion eh? Not good for journalism where 2 opposing views should be allowed without censorship. Dissapointed in you Chip, didn’t see you as a Seth Emerson who only wanted 1 side of stories.

Oh well don’t matter, we’ll just all go on to more national blogs to have our voices heard by more people whie this one fades into obscurity.

And by the way, Aaron Murray is still 1-11 vs. top 20 teams, sorry you guys don’t like to hear that, but wanted to be the last person to post that on the AJC, this will probably get censored too..

this column is no longer a dialogue, but it now a monologue. Chip, you don’t get social media. No one cares for monologues. it’s the way of dinosaurs.

Quick summary of Chip’s future articles, basically, rephrasing of UGA press releases…

1) UGA coaches are great (see recent article about 2012 SEC Bottom dweller dline coach from Miss St)
2) Murray and players can do no wrong (even with a 1-11 record vs top 20 teams?)
3) McGarity is the world’s great AD (how many SEC Championship so far in basketball & football?)

Justin Smith hasn’t played in nearly a month, but the San Francisco 49ers believe their anchoring defensive lineman will be ready for Saturday night’s divisional playoff game against the Green Bay Packers.
“God willing and the creek don’t rise, he’s going to play,” 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh said Wednesday, via Steve Corkran of the Contra Costa Times.
