After Saturday upsets, Georgia can get national title shot by winning out

And just like that, Georgia controls its own destiny for a national title shot.

Same for Alabama. That’s the end result of Saturday’s BCS chaos.

How do you think Georgia will close out 2012 season.

No. 1 Kansas State (52-24 to Baylor) and No. 2 Oregon (17-14 in overtime to Stanford) went down in major upsets. That means No. 3 Notre Dame will move up to No. 1 in next week’s BCS standings and No. 4 Alabama and No. 5 Georgia should slide up right behind at 2 and 3, respectively.

If the Bulldogs (10-1) and Crimson Tide (10-1) can get to the SEC Championship game unscathed — each must survive rival games against Georgia Tech and Auburn, respectively, next Saturday — it will turn the Dec. 1 Georgia Dome classic into a BCS championship semifinal. The winner advances to the title game, giving the SEC a shot at a seventh consecutive national championship.

ESPN college football analyst and BCS expert Brad Edwards predicted that Notre Dame, Alabama and Georgia would take over the top three spots when the new rankings come ouot at 8:30 p.m. Sunday. Notre Dame has never been ranked No. 1 in the BCS era.

Georgia’s players were paying attention and took to Twitter to share their feelings.

Shortly after Stanford pulled off the second upset of the night, quarterback Aaron Murray sent out this tweet from his Twitter account, @aaronmurray11: “Yesssssssssssss!!!!!! The Murray household just went crazyyyyy!!!!!! #dawgsontop” Murray lives with teammates Dustin Royston, Artie Lynch, Ty Frix and Christian Robinson.

A short time later, All-American outside linebacker Jarvis Jones, aka @SacManJones_29, tweeted: “TURNT up.. Leggo BULLDAWG NATION!!”

Others:

  • “Thank you Baylor thank you Stanford.” — Cornerback Sanders Commings (@SandersCommings)
  • “I just did have a heart attack.” — Wide receiver Chris Conley (@CCon_TreUno)
  • “Let’s take care of business! Playoffs start now!” – Wide receiver Rhett McGowan (@KinG_WooT_17)

Georgia defeated Georgia Southern 45-14 Saturday to improve to 10-1 on the season. The Bulldogs have already secured the Eastern Division’s berth into the SEC Championship game. But first they have to get by archrival Georgia Tech (6-4), which visits Athens next Saturday for a noon kickoff.

How great it would be to have a rerun of Jan. 1, 1981: Georgia vs. Notre Dame playing for the national championship, with the Dawgs prevailing. I wouldn’t even mind a duplicate score: 17-10, favoring UGA.

Of course, if it winds up being some other team as the opponent, that’s OK. As long as Georgia has another national title, that’s what matters most.

To borrow a phrase from Larry Munson, it seems like Lady Luck is smiling on the Bulldogs after all.

Tell me now, all you sunshine and rainbow Bulldog “fans” – How do you feel now about a coaching staff that is not capable of getting the “Dawgs prepared to play South Carolina every year? What would our season look like if we were 11-0 now as we should be? At 11-1 (assuming we beat the Nerds), a loss in the SECCG means we are out of the hunt. However, at 12-0 (assuming we beat the Nerds), a win against AL automatically takes us to the big show, but we could still have shot if we lose as the Number 2 team in an all-SEC Title game like last year.

Every game is a must-win and if Richt feels otherwise, as he has expressed in the past, how do any of you think he will lead us to the promised land?

Go Dawgs and Lord, please help our boys to play well enough to overcome the inadequacies of the coaching staff you have seen fit to burden us with for the last 12 years.

Dum-Bass

“Not so fast my friend”! Chip Towers says in this article that AL and GA “SHOULD” slide up right behind Notre Dame. Well, I can certainly see ND at #1, but can also see Oregon only dropping one slot to #3, since it was close and in overtime. Also can easily see Kansas St. dropping all the way to #5 since they lost so badly. Therefore that presents an interesting picture. 1. ND 2. AL 3. OR 4. GA 5. Kan.St. DO NOT be surprised but what this happens. Better wait a couple days until the re-arranging actually takes place.

Just as I predicted in the AJC earlier today “Double Upset Alert: Oregon & Kansas State will go down tonight”. Also I predicted that South Carolina would choke against LSU & Florida – that UGA would whip Florida and that Bummer would lose to Texas A&M. The one I got wrong was LSU over Bummer .. which Les Miles blew in the last 6 minutes by changing to a prevent defense. I would have been predicting that Notre Dame was going to lose to Southern Cal but I understand that Barkley injured his throwing arm today and won’t play next week. To bad because I would have loved to see two SEC teams be rated #1 & #2 again right before the SEC championship. I am going to wait for the injury report before predicting the winner of the SEC championship. Obviously Aubarn sux and Bummer should beat them by 4 TD’s. Like wise I see UGA over Tech by at least 3 TD’s. Tech is about 14 points better than Aubarn and will give UGA a decent game in to the 3rd quarter. What happens if the computers put a one loss Oregon team above UGA/Bummer – unlikely for sure but possible?

If it had not been except for a “home call” for the Irish on their field in OT against Stanford they would have lost. Lowly Pitt outplayed the Irish but poor coaching cost them at the end of OT. The BCS won’t be played with Notre Dame’s refs and Notre will lose to WHOEVER they play – either Bummer or UGA. Notre Dame wouldn’t score more than 10 points against Bummer or UGA. They have a decent defense but their offense is second rate. They are over rated.

You’re potentially right IrishFan …. 1.) Uga’s biggest test will be against Alabama, which they could very well lose, but 2.) they MOST CERTAINLY CAN beat an overated, over-hyped ND team, which hasn’t played anybody on their schedule that can match up defensively speed-for-speed with even a mid-level SEC team….. theory successfully contested!!

If I remember correctly Richt is 3 – 4 against the Gnome…. so don’t tell me that Richt can’t win against Saban. UGA has taken some hits to their starting WR’s for sure with Bennett and Brown gone but they still have more skilled talent on offense than Bummer. As the case in most big games turnovers will decide who gets the “W”. The key to beating Bummer is stopping the run and giving UGA’s QB time to throw the ball. If the DAWG defense that beat Florida & Ole Miss shows up they can do it.

Two important points:

I’m more concerned about Georgia playing Tech next week than what the other teams are doing. Because me pulling for a team to lose is not going to change how the other teams play. Here’s to hoping the dawgs win again over our rivals from Atlanta. I say the dawgs give up some yards, but the game against Southern helps prepare us for Lee and Washington. Dawgs 38 Jackets 20

Lets them gain some more experience which is needed before Saban brings the Tide into the dome against tech. Seems having a lil warmup against gsu helped prepare for pj’s option. As a loyal Tech grad, I would like nothing better than upsetting UGA’s plans for a NC game but it will not happen. Tech simply cannot handle the UGA offense. It pains me to say so but it is true.

How pathetic of you to only hold onto the hopes of being able to spoil someone’s year instead of recognizing that your school’s year is already lost and then rooting for a team from your home state to carry the torch instead of us all being shut out. Stay out West, you scumbag. Obviously, no one here wanted you to work for them.

Does Ga control there destiny? What if UCLA defeats Stanford and Oregon goes on to win the Pac12 with just 1 overtime loss? Is it possible they would be #2 with Ga #3…even if Ga wins the sec and has 1 loss. Thus…I want USC to beat ND and Stanford to beat USC. If either of those happen then Ga definitely controls its on destiny.

Don’t flatter yourself, sweet pea. We are still around and still correct. Because of Richt, we are 10-1 instead of 11-0 and looking at the possibility of getting shunned from the NC title instead of being a shoo-in for it – despite our cupcake schedule this year.

Make no mistake you who are gloating over the misfortunes of others, MARK RICH WILL NEVER BRING UGA A NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE. He simply does not have the stuff of which championship coaches are made. He is soft and his teams are soft and undisciplined. He cares too much about how people perceive him and therefore can never bring himself to truly annihilate an opponent because he does dot want to be seen as a bad sport. These things do not concern the likes of Saban, Meyers, Miles, Chizik (Dear God it hurts to even have to type that), Fulmer, or Spurrier – all of whom have won BCS National Championships for SEC teams.

We have a mild-mannered religiously-minded former insurance salesman who can recruit talent with his Christian schtick but cannot win the big games. Why don’t we all just admit that and be content to see our players leave after 3 years for the NFL where they get coached up to their full potential and just be happy to be consistently in the upper middle class of the SEC?

This is a great day to be a Dawg, but aren’t they all? Oz, other haters of CMR: Listen up. Despite it being in our DNA, UGA football isn’t everything. CMR knows this and if his focus isn’t championship at all costs every year, that’s good, I accept that. It’s way past time we stopped judging people by wins and losses alone. To back up my point: look at some of the people who just won reelection. Judge them by wins, they are golden, go by their miserable track record, another story.

CMR is helping boys become men and this nation desperately needs good men. If we win a BSC Championship along the way, it’s a bonus. Having said that, let’s beat Tech Satruday and Roll UP the Tide in the Dome and bring on the Irish! Go Dawgs!

Things have gotten interesting! Georgia wins out, and ND wins out–rematch of 1980 folks! Notre Dame loses, Gators beat FSU (tall order without Driskell), Gators vs Bama or Dawgs in the NC. Dawgs have a very tough road and they are going to have to keep improving each week to have a chance, especially the O line and D! Despite the badmouthing of the haters, Tech is similar to Baylor–great offensive stats, terrible defensive stats. They will be fired up and play over their heads. Georgia is set up because they may be thinking about the Dome. Going to take a great effort to beat the Bees. And then, if we win, we have to beat Alabama. Very, very difficult order, but Johnny Football showed it can be done. Dawgs will have to play the game of a lifetime. Congrats to the staff and team for not giving up after the Columbia disaster. Better bring the A++-game from here out.

Mark Richt has reached judgement day as a football head coach, does he have what it takes to be included with the likes of other greats or not? We will know in two weeks –

I hope that Murray and C Robinson keep thier mouths shut for the next two weeks as well as the tweeting crap.

Aaron Murray had better raise his level of play for UGA to win, yet to make a difference in any game during 3 year career, well, he has made the difference in many loses but not a time to be negative.

Oregon is now out of the Pac-10 Championship, Stanford is going in their place, which means that they will drop lower than 5 in the BCS standing. It’s looking extremely favorable for the SEC right now, even with Notre Dame riding the top spot and Florida must be extremely excited. If Notre Dame happens to lose to USC next week and Florida beats Florida State, they could very well slip into the BCS CG just like Alabama did last year. Wouldn’t that be something, the SEC having two teams in the BCS CG two years in a row. Do you think Mays and Mush-mouths heads would explode, especially if its Georgia vs Florida in the BCS CG?

That would be sweet.

First thimgs first. UGA will need to roundly thump GT in Athens. UGA can do this by controlling BOTH lines of scrimmage. UGA will need to administer mega double doses of Keith Marshall and Todd GURLEY. UGA will need to play fake the GT D into bei g frozen, then hit Conley, McGowan, and TAVARRES King and their TEs over and over for TDs and moving the chains.

Final should be UGA 32-17

After this,Mae then discuss Alabama. First things first, clowns.

THE DOOR IS OPEN NOW! This is a 2 game playoff for Georgia. Get caught looking ahead and youll be heading to athens wondering how you lost to Ga Tech. Not one player can predict the outcome of next weeks season finale against Tech.
They would love nothing better than running the ball down the Dawgs defense throat and embarrasing them on national TV and infront of their friends and family.
If i was a defensive player on Georgia i’d focus on stopping Techs running game and come into that game entirely focused and pumped up.
Hey look Dawgs, no one is going to respect you until you start dominating games and act like a #3 team and not a top 25 team.
You have a chance to do something that hasnt been done in over 30 years and thats to play in a BCS game.
But 1st you have to dethrone Alabama to get there. After seeing Texas A&M beat them i realized that they are mortal and bleed like everyone else does. This is where and nows the time for our defense to rise up and be something that many thought you werent.
Only once this year did i see a glimpse of a dominating defense that was so focused to win and that was against Florida.
The Football Gods have given you a KEY to enter that final door but 1st you must prove yourself worthy and beat the enemies that lie infront of you to move forward.
No you dont have to play your best game but youve got to play better than them to win.
You can decide who you are and drop the key and watch that other SEC School play the game of a lifetime from your dorm and look back at your mistakes and the what-ifs in life or you can want it more than the other team and DOMINATE the game.
Its that simple………..nobody remembers 2nd place but here is a chance to become a part of something special that you will always be remembered by fans for years to come.
Its put up or shut up time and limping into the SEC Championship Game is nothing spectacular but winning big makes your foe think about it more.
Dont just beat Tech, dominate all facets of the game and show everyone in America who you are and why youre deservant of going not only to the SEC Championship game but playing for all the marbles in the BCS.
IS THIS YOUR YEAR?

DO NOT TAKE TECH LIGHTLY!
Paul Johnson will have the Yellow Jackets ready to try and knock off an over-confident/undisciplined Georgia team.

I really think Georgia matches up well against a great Bama team. Everyone forgets that while BAMA has a lot of talent and is a great team, they lost tons of talent after last year.

All we can ask for as Georgia fans is a CHANCE to go all of the way. Our destiny is in OUR hands.

side note: I think EVERYONE last night saw that those West Coast teams and others have WEAK schedules. ND has beaten NO ONE and they barely escaped a loss to a bad PITT team.

One game at a time…UGA needs to beat Tech first, which wil not be as easy as a lot of people think. Then, if we beat Tech, I’m afraid we will lose by double digits to Bama. I think there are gonna be a lot of sad Dawgs come December. There’s no way they beat the Tide for two reasons. First, Bama won’t be coming off a physical beating like the endured in Baton Rouge the week before the A&M game. Second, Georgia’s offense is much easier for a good, disciplined defense like Bama’s to prepare for. There’s no Johnny Football to run around while receivers break routes and find open spaces.

“Dreams from their father” wrote one Tech Fan. On his death bed a father of great wealth and fame with family gathered around told his only son of a great dream he had one night.
A Yellow Jacket Team so immense and profained that even when they ran onto the field before the game that the ground shook and rumbled scaring the opposing team.
That opposing team was the Mighty Bulldog Team , a firece competitor of its own and how their faces looked as the white and yellow team announced their presence running onto the field.
Just as the father wished and prayed for his team showed up but lost that game by 45 points.

Hoping our Dawgs make it to the NC, but what a great finish to the college football season overall!

We know as long as UGA and Bama both finish with wins next week, the winner of that game goes on to the NC…

But, if Notre Dame loses, it will be crazy to see who then matches up in the title game…

Here’s a thought: If Florida State takes down the Gators, and then wins the ACC championship game, does an 11-1 FSU jump the 9-2 teams ahead of them to the title game??

Or, if UF beats FSU, and ND loses, does UGA then get a rematch with UF in the title game?? LOL

Even Oregon probably has a shot to make it back in because they won’t fall too far down the line…

Infinite possibilities still out there…

I watched the second half of the Baylor game (after a wedding which interfered with my football watching), and I’d like to congratulate their team for a great and memorable victory. Their level of enthusiasm was wonderful, and they were having so much fun playing the game. It made me realize why I love college football so much.

K State didn’t seem to have any defense, which helped Baylor. I’ve not been following K State, so maybe they just had an aberrant night.

Stanford played very well, too. Controlling their destiny must be sweet for them.

I don’t see an Oregon team having lost to Stanford yesterday not dropping below two SEC teams. Does anyone imagine the BCS now ranking ND #1 and Oregon #2? Wouldn’t that be the pits! I can’t see it. If Oregon is ranked #3 behind Alabama. I might prefer that to seeing UGA ranked #3; it builds a little hotter motivation fire for UGA. Still, it would be silly of the BCS to rank Oregon #2.

There’s no way ND is going to lose to USC. I don’t want them to anyway. They need to have an opportunity to see what they can or can’t do in a game against an SEC opponent. And, it sure looks like the SEC Champion will play ND this year, doesn’t it.

I think ND could beat either Alabama or UGA. It’s always a matter of how the teams play. I would make either SEC team a favorite (and Texas A&M, and LSU, and South Carolina) over ND.

Now, all that is – as we all know – pure fantasy! We have to get past the mighty bugs from the trade school first. According to me, that means we’d best be thinking of them as mighty tough, too, because that’s likely to be the way they play us. I’ve been watching the UGA game against Georgia Tech for a long time now, and anybody that thinks a bad Tech team can’t beat a good Georgia team (and vice versa) hasn’t been paying attention. Besides, this isn’t really that bad a Tech team, and just how good the Georgia team really is has yet to be decided.

I’m as excited as the next Dawg Fan! However, we could lose to Tech (I don’t think we will). We could lose to Alabama. And, we could lose to any team you can think of in a krappy bowl if we do lose one or both of those games. Wouldn’t that make this season look terrible, and this team look as bad as anyone thought it might be after the South Carolina game? We’ve still got a lot to prove.

Am I bad mouthing my Bulldogs? Heck, no, I’m not. But, let’s let some air out of the hot air balloon and be realistic about all this. As Texas A&M proved, and Stanford, and Baylor confirmed, any team can beat any team.

Our single elimination playoffs have just started! Georgia Tech is the first opponent. The only game that matters is Georgia Tech. Everything else is fantasy.

One more thing: I certainly understand that we blew it against South Carolina. They are entitled to celebrate that game, and are bad sports enough to do it here. I still would like them to beat Clemson, and help Georgia, on the field of play, prove what we all believe, that the SEC is vastly superior to the ACC.

We can beat Tech, Alabama, and ND. Will we? It’s up to our team.

It’s time to see if Aaron Murray can really win the Big Game. If he wins out his UGA legacy is assured.

Even Mark Richt and Mike Bobo have a shot a redeeming themselves.

I don’t mind a bit if Alabama or UGA are accused of backing into a championship game. K State lost. Oregon lost. Sorry, boys. Chances are the SEC will, once again, win it all.

What a great day to be a University of Georgia Bulldog.

Go, Dawgs!

Remember a few years ago when UGA was 6-5 going into the game, while Tech was 10-1 and had an outside shot at the title game? “We run this state” happened…

Given what happened Saturday nothing is impossible in losing an inner state rivalry. Ga Tech has never had a better football program than Georgia but does have a better basketball program.
That will always be a given.
But this isnt about basketball or I.Q. its about football. Where the Dawgs have and will always dominate Tech its a given.
Alot of Tech Fans get sick for a full week in anticipation of their game against the Dawgs, fearing the worst of being blown out yet again.
They wont admit this to us in the Dawg Nation, they’ll growl and bark with little inuendos of a great victory over Georgia but deep inside theyre just praying to compete and not lose big.
Ever see a Yellow Jacket try to bark instead of Buzzing?
None of us know the outcome cause here you have a yellow jacket team where their coach is on the bubble and havent had a great season to brag of.
But this is a game where any team can get beaten by a lesser foe. So yes, i can concede that anything is possible with any game but alot of those Tech players arent from Georgia and really dont care about that its Georgia their playing.
Its the Tech Fans who are all hyped up to play us and spout off like theres no tomorrow begging for just 1 Win against a better team.
I’ll just say that Tech better hope that the Refs are Tech graduates and call blatant penalties to ease the pain of those Techies in the stands.
It’ll be Georgia beating itself and looking ahead past Tech is the only way they can win. When you Tech Fans think of the game then think about Tech playing Georgia in basketball and youll see why were more dominate than you.
Georgia chances against Tech in basketball is like Techs chances against Georgia in football. NON EXISTANT.
I know using LOGIC is hard for Tech Fans because their so smart that their stupid but once you can cross that threshold of realization then youll begin to understand the differences in each schools programs.
Tech just sucks in football and always will. Coming to that realization will help to lower your blood pressure and cholesterol levels by 75%.

Tech. will probably get some running yards, although not like they get against very poor teams like Duke and Maryland. The problem with Tech. is their inability to stop the other team from scoring. There can’t be a lot of pride when you beat a lowly team by scoring 60 points and giving up 40 something to that team. They still aren’t any better with or without Groh. They just do not have the athletes to compete on the defensive side of the ball, and are lucky to be playing in a league where defense is mostly forgotten.
The AJC blogs will light up this week, with anti-UGA crap from a stinger-less Tech. team’s fans, at least the 20 or so fans they do have, and then after next Saturday, we will have a day of excuses by them, followed by either them getting into a championship game in their conference (?), and after losing that, another trip to sunny El Paso.

National Championship Scenario – Georgia vs. Florida
No. 1 Notre Dame loses to USC.
No. 3 Georgia runs the table and defeats No. 2 Bama in SEC championship.
No. 4 Florida runs the table, defeating probably No. 5 or 6 Florida State.
Georgia moves up to No. 1 and Florida to No. 2.

With recent history as our guide, it’s often the teams that lose last that suffer the stiffest penalty in the polls. That’s bad news for teams like Oregon and Kansas State, but perhaps good news for a team like Georgia, which is now more than six weeks removed from its one loss. The No. 4 Bulldogs could move up to No. 2, ahead of Alabama. One can only assume that Kansas State will drop from No. 2 to at least No. 5 after losing by 28 points to Baylor.

Mark Richt – 11 seasons – 6 Appearances in the SEC Championship – Eight 10 win seasons- (the school has 20 in their existance). UGA struggled in the first half of the season due to dismissals and suspensions that our Coach actually enforces, and would be swept under the rug most anywhere else. He dismisses his all world RB recruit, he dismisses a top 10 QB recruit who is now leading a rival – he stands for pricinciples and acts accordingly- and then is blasted about not having discipline (??!!!), If UGA had similar policies as most of their conference -then yes, UGA would have been much better much quicker this season. And yes, under Richt’s watch, the team occasionly loses some games, some of them ugly. Yet he STILL is being questioned about his ability to lead the UGA program. (albeit a little bit quieter than normal right this minute)
And I guarantee if UGA does lose one of the next two games – these same spoiled, unrelaistic “fans” will again be out in force saying we have to get a new coach.
Fact – He’s not going anywhere, nor should he. If you truly are a Dawg – get behind our team and our coaches and man up – win or lose. RIcht and his staff are certainly among the top 10 or 12 staffs in the nation – and there simply is not a better MAN in the country to lead this program.
Screw the Haters. Go Dawgs!

Two ways to build winning teams:

1. Hire 1st rate coaches and recruit players with talent and character (example: Alabama).

2. Hire 3rd rate wannabe coaches and recruit low class trash, then schedule a lot of crap teams (example: Georgia).

Method #1 works. Method #2 gets you a decent W-L record, but no championships.

You really do not know football, trying to compare a Florida game against LSU and a Florida Rivalry game against UGA is comparing apples to oranges. Pure athletes and performance alone everyone knows that LSU is the most talented in the country, now UGA has great athletes as well. HOWEVER, UGA has athletes who are selfish and have shown to have a “me” attitude. Suspensions prove it.

I will take my chances against UGA any day of the week when it comes to scoring over taking my chances against LSU and most folks who know football would agree. the difference is that UGA can score and LSU has Offensive issues.

So GA wants a championship more than AL, so guess the Dogs clearly win the SEC CG?!! Maybe the fans wants it more, but you can’t at all deduce Richt’s players do…

In case you’re blinded by your own delusions of grandeur, this is the SAME DOG team that:

1) Got spanked by 28 points to a less talent laden SC

2) Nearly lost to a really bad TN team

3) Has beaten NOBODY so far…(check the records and GA has the worst quality win resume of any Team in the top 10, if not top 15)

4) For the lone quality win against FL, GA was the beneficiary of SIX turnovers and still won by a narrow margin despite that. Do you really see a Saban team giving you SIX turnovers??

Just thank your lucky scheduling stars that GA still remains the most untested team in the nation with one week left in the regular season.

Give up all the “nobody beats Saban” talk. Of course they do, just not often. But top teams get beat, good one get beat, and GA has the athletes to compete evenly with Bama in every way. Doesn’t mean they will win, but they have the tools to get to the NC game. If you think otherwise, you’re living in a dream world. Ask KSU. Ask Oregon. Heck, ask AL.

ND would beat GA. You guys have beat 2 teams that have a winning record. Scheduling Buffalo (4-7), Florida Atlantic (3-8) and GA Southern (1-AA) is really bad. You are 1-1 vs BCS top 25 so don’t get your hopes up. Nothing wrong with supporting your team but at least be realistic and honest when you talk about your season and the competition you have played. Your opponents winning per centage is 47%. Nothing to write home about.

Crybabies on the blogs: “Georgia hasn’t played anybody!! It’s not fair that my team didn’t win the east or flat-out is just not as good as Georgia! I’ll never admit that Georgia has improved greatly and that their defense has turned around. Instead, I will cling to the fact that Georgia’s defense sucked a month ago and make fun of them for barely beating Kentucky! That will make my team look less sorry!”

I hate to break it to you clowns, but Georgia beat most of the “lousy” teams on their schedule convincingly. It’s not like they won 5 games by 7 or less or something crazy like that. The only close wins over bad teams were against Kentucky and Tennessee and both times, our defense was playing horrible… now they have clearly improved. Watch the Florida and Ole Miss games if you don’t believe me.

My opinion is that no one team in the SEC is unbeatable. We have seen teams look elite one week, only to suck the next week. I would say Alabama is still the best team in the SEC, but Georgia has a shot to exploit their secondary, which has been burned twice this month. I’m not predicting we will win, just that we’ve got a legitimate shot. Bama’s secondary is not as dominant as past years and they also do not have an elite pass rusher, like a Clowney or Jarvis Jones. So that should help Murray when throwing the ball. Jesse Williams, their NT, is a beast though.

Auburn better hope we take our starters out after halftime… otherwise, we will put up 50 on them. Sorry, but I don’t see Tech beating Georgia. It’s obvious it’s the bitter Techies who constantly post these tiring posts on arrests and Kemp. Why? If you want to dwell on football crime just look to your own program : a drug ring ring being run out of the locker room, a dozen players booted for academic fraud, loss of institutional control resulting in a stripped title, QB’S who were accepted into your academically elite fortress that cannot count to four? The list is endless. And we won’t even get into the bombs found in the student quadrangle or the fact students need police escorts to get to class safely. What is it you’re trying to say?
