Teams that get embarrassed to the tune of 35-7 should never be considered a BCS contender. If the DWAGS couldnt’t make it with Stafford/Knowshon/AJ, they sure as heck aren’t going anywhere anytime soon.

Southern would distroy tech. We’re moving up soon and hopefully we’ll get our chance to show them up again. That being said UGA will distroy southern.

RAMBO AND TREE WILL BE PICKING THEMSELVES UP FROM THE CHOP BLOCKS THAT GA FANS HAVE BEEN WHINNNNNING ABOUT ALL WEEK. JUST AS GEORGIA FANS HAVE SAID ALL YEAR ABOUT BEEING HANDED THE EASY SIDE OF THE SCHEDULE AND NOT BEING ABLE TO DO ANTHING ABOUT IT BECAUSE THE SCHEDULE IS MADE YEARS IN ADVANCE, TECH IS PLAYING SOUTHERN IN 2015…..THIS WAS SET UP WHEN COACH MONKEN LEFT TECH TO GO TO SOUTHERN….GO EAGLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HATE GT….ANOTHER ORIGINAL NAME. MUST BE ANOTHER ONE THAT COULD NOT QUALIFY AT TECH. REALLY I UNDERSTAND THE FEELING. I HAVE PULLED FOR TECH EVER SINCE MY BROTHER PLAYED THERE IN 1966(BOBBY DODD’S LAST YEAR) AND I HAVE PULLED FOR GEORGIA TWO TIMES IN MY LIFE. WHEN THEY PLAYED PENN STATE AND NOTRE DAME, AND THEN I WAS PULLING FOR A TIE. SO MAYBE THE ROTATION WILL MOVE AROUND NEXT YEAR FOR GEORGIA TO PLAY ALABAMA, LSU OR TEXAS A&M AND THEN MAYBE YOU CAN EARN A TRIP TO THE CHAMPIONSHIP.

The chop block should be outlawed and assessed a 15 yard penalty for first offense in a game and expulsion from the game for the 2nd. It’s dirty and vicious and extremely dangerous. Also a ball carrier should not be able to stiff arm to the face of a defender. I’m just sayin…

Chop blocking is dirty and is done by inferior offenses who can’t or are afraid to man up against defenders.

…………..you are correct. chop blocking is dirty but not done only by inferior offenses. However, if you have facts on that statement I would love to see them

I love these posters still bad mouthing UGA’s schedule and the SC loss. Just can’t handle it, huh? I guess you didn’t notice that Bama is playing Western Carolina this weekend. Bama lost to A & M and should have lost to LSU. I think it’s all even in the SECCG. You play the schedule you’re given and go from there. You either uphold your end of the bargain and win your games or you don’t. UGA upheld their end of the bargain better and are #5 in the BCS. Can’t wait to beat GSU and splatter Tech (nice defense, guys…lol) and then land in the Dome on December 1st. The score is 0-0 when the ball gets kicked off. Go Dawgs!

just whining– did Bama earn the right to play in BCS tilte game last year? They didnt even win their DIVISION let alone conference, but they proved to be the best team in the end. Yes, we got jack stomped in Coumbia, but have payed well since then. Im not sure, but I think most Natl Champs have had at least one loss since the BCS was birthed–save Auburn 2 years ago.

Does anyone else find it amusing that a 350LB DT is concerned about a 250LB OL’s tactics?

I don’t find it amusing, Scott. A 80 lb midget could hit a knee just right and end professional football hopes.
I think they talked to the media about this to get game officals to pay closer attention to chop blocks.
It’s no different than Saban telling reporters he was “concerned” last week that the hurry-up offense could result in injuries.
Crotch blocking
November 16th, 2012
4:05 pm
Cutting and chopping are different things One is cowardly and the other is good technique, no matter the size of the lineman. I hope that chopping is never allowed. Cutting is a great block. So is crotch blocking for pass protection. put your facemask there and I promise you the hands will go down. No passes blocked at the line of scrimmage I promise! Wish more teams did this on the 3 step drop throws
