Georgia-Georgia Tech game time set
The Georgia-Georgia Tech football game on Nov. 24 will kick off at noon, the SEC said today.
The game, in Athens, will be televised by ESPN.
CBS chose the Alabama-Auburn game for its 3:30 p.m. SEC telecast on Nov. 24.

GT fanbase at least doesn’t totally desert the team when things go bad, or want to immediately fire the entire coaching staff after starting the season 5-1 (refer to Oct 7 blogs). It’s actually nice to be in a football environment where the fans are lifelong, 98% alumi, and give these 20yr olds a little credit for being student/athletes…something old pup nation doesn’t give a *%$& about. But I guess they’re clamoring for a national title so bad they forget it’s just football…it has been 32 years after all…

Why? We have lost wearing red and lost wearing white. We had two wins with the Black jerseys, Auburn and Hawaii. Yeah we look bad against Bama in them, but we looked worse against Carolina in white.

Should be a pretty good game. Assuming an automatic win by UGA is just what GT wants to hear. UGA should win, but still got to play the game. Believe GT will score, but the GT defense will not be able to stop UGA unless UGA turns the ball over multiple times as in the 45-42 loss a few years ago.

spider……….the visiting team of a 2 confernce game does not meam that the visiting school will use their conference officials. Many times it is a 3rd (neutral) conference officials that call the game It all dependes on the contract. You had better hope the officials dont’ call illegal blocks on the GT team because our Dawgs also use the ‘cut block’ too! They just don’t use it all the time like GT. And you do know that the ‘cut block’ is a legal play, don’t you?

Tech fans buy fewer and fewer tickets every year because they are tired of getting the crap kicked out of them year in and year out. Who WOULD want to spend money and travel to see that. Hell your fans don’t even buy tickets to your home games so I don’t think you can balme it on the experience. It’s just that Tech fans are finally accepting mediocrity. Stop being such a crybaby.
Athens is continually voted as one of the best places to see a ballgame every year. I’m not sure what national broadcast team you’re refering to but I read recently where Vern Lundquist and Keith Jackson, both men who have seen ballgames at venues all over the country, said that Sanford Stadium and Athens, GA make for the best game day experince they have ever experienced. Also Boise State didn’t play us in Athens you worm. We played them in the GA Dome. Do you even have a clue what you’re talking about?
I wouldn’t expect a group of people who leave totally disappointed every time they come to understand. But then again every geek is entitled to their opinion.

When are the pollsters going to wake up to the hype of UGA football. Year in and year out they’re a “Elite” Top 10 team. While Bama, LSU, Auburn, Gators and Vols have all won national championships in “modern times” Georgia’s one and only was 32 years ago. They dropped Bama this year and got dismantled by Cocks. Barely beat UF who only beat ULL by 7. And why are they ranked in Top 5? More hype…..play somebody that matters for a change if you’re such an “Elite” program.
