Glad it’s at 12:00pm. Then we have the rest of the day to celebrate a GT victory while puppy nation cries like a bunch of little girls.

Hate GT, i was at that game and remember it very well. I like to think that we lost that game because Alabama in 2008 was begining to click under Nick Saban, not the color of our uniforms. I also remember what happened v Auburn in 2007 and yes, Boise in 2011. i dont think that the 2012 Yellow Jackets really compare to those teams and that is my point – lets wear alternate uniforms for the lesser game of the year. makes Nike happy, recruits love it, and the team loves it. only people who dont are older alums….

I know nobody likes this time slot…..but me. I live in Kenya E Africa. Kickoff will be at 8 pm for me….watching via sling box. Those 7 pm eastern games are tough on me here. Getting up in middle of the night to watch a game…. Yay for noon kickoff!

Wish they’d play on Thanksgiving night–like they used to now and then. Gives us Dawg fans something else to be thankful for on that day.

I truly think both fan bases act like fools for this game when they are the home team.
Been harassed so many times at Bobby the Dud field it is insane. You don’t want anything to escalate in Atlanta because they will threaten to throw you in the Fulton county slammer which would be no picnic for a college football fan.
I have also witnessed our fans being a-holes in Athens to Tech fans. Pretty bad and just classless. I find it to be so annoying.

It’s weird, 10 of 11, brcause Georgia fans I’ve sat next to in Athens have always been kind. We rooted for our teams and had fun. Only issue I have had is with a Georgia fan last year, but he was hammered. I only took offense because he didn’t share his Maker’s.

That’s a good time for Tech. Business as usual. Good for families. How drunk can idiots get before noon. Dawgs should play better not having to sit around all day. Take care of business early. Most folks should get home at a decent hour.

Good one Stein. Tech will matter when they can be a top 20 team annually, win 9-11 games constantly, maybe get really crazy and win against their biggest rival who they are jealous over, etc.

Richt owns Tech! Another year, another win! Hey Techies, if you want to see what real football is, tune in on CBS at 3:30 and ESPN2 at 7:00, and ESPN at 7:45 during the football year…. Even as horrible as Auburn is, real fans fill up their stadiums during the rough times…. Tech is an embarassment and the fan base is a JOKE!…………….. GO DAWGS!!

@Jacket Backer, I have never once – not ONCE – been to a game at the shoe box on North Avenue without being absolutely berated by your “always classy” fans (and I’ve been to many games there). So spare us this typical argument. I’m sure we have one or two more bad eggs than you guys do, because we a fan base that’s exponentially larger.
Noon kick is a bummer, but it’s hard to complain. We’ve had a great run of night games this year.

People, Richt will not blow out tech. Tech hangs around for every game and that could come back to bite us one year. Coaching will be key to that week with Bama coming up the following week. It’s been too easy for this team the past couple of years to look ahead. They need to go into like the Auburn game and put it away early. I still don’t expect it because tech has only ONE game to get up for all year and we are it. If we can beat Florida tech could beat us. Nothing is ever a given.

I like a warm and sunny 12 noon kickoff better then kicking off on a late Novemember Saturday night.
For those actually going to the game this works out great. We can make back home to see the late games too.

The UGA and GT fans always like to complain about anything they can find to post on a blog. If they really care about going to games, then accept th time and go without comment.
If they don`t like the way they are treat in the other teams stadium, just go to their home games

Next topic…this game with the bugs is no longer topic worthy. Tech is the reason we are playing at high noon. The only game of the year besides the opener against Buffalo. Tech is about as relevant as Buffalo as well.

UGA does not need to dress in any color, simply line up and defeat Tech. Take care of business and get ready for the (important game) SEC Championship.
Go Dawgs. My prediction is that GA Southern will put up more fight to UGA than Tech.

Im a Tech fan– and even though the defense is well beyond bad– Vad Lee will show you guys something a little different from what you’re used to seeing at QB for the Jackets. Legit passing threat.
As far as the person saying it ’sucks to play 2 triple option teams in a row’… you DO get that it was intentional to put GSU before GT, right? A smart move by the dawgs…

Before the SEC expanded along with the SEC schedule, the best rivalry game of the year for Georgia was Clemson. Now that was a good competitive game every year. UGA should drop the boring Tech game and go back to an annual game with Clemson. Way more fun. Clemson also has a real stadium, too. And you didn’t have to worry about getting mugged walking to the stadium gates.

I love it when Georgia has a black out because it look so ugly on T.V. White out looks great at Penn State but a black out looks ugly. BTW….the reason that you won’t play in the BCS National Championship is that you were dismantled by Gamecocks on national television, you struggled against Kentucky and barely beat Gators who almost lost to ULL. More hype….simply more Dawg hype. Last and only national championship…..32 years ago!

For whoever said they “didn’t want our boys knees cut out”, have you heard of the zone blocking scheme? A good number of NFL teams run it. The Falcons ran it a few years ago when Gibbs was a consultant. Do your research before you say dumb things.

Unfortunately, the #5 ranked BCS team has no one to televise this Sat’s contest with Ga. Southern. Moreover, there’s a good chance that if left to rot on the vine, it will be blacked out on ESPN3 so that pay-per-view can gouge fans for $100+ per.
