Georgia’s Nov. 10 football game at Auburn will kick off at 7 p.m. and be televised on ESPN2, the SEC announced today.
If Georgia defeats Ole Miss in Athens on Saturday, the Bulldogs will be in position to clinch the SEC East championship and a berth in the SEC Championship game by winning at Auburn.
The Georgia-Ole Miss game will kick off at 3:30 p.m. Saturday and be nationally televised on CBS, the Bulldogs’ second consecutive game on that network.
In other news today — albeit not surprising — Georgia linebacker Jarvis Jones was named the SEC Defensive Player of the Week for his performance in the win over Florida. Jones had a career-high 13 tackles (12 solo), including 4.5 tackles for loss and three sacks. He also forced two fumbles and recovered two fumbles.

Sure hope keep the intensity they showed Saturday. If they can carry that for 4 more games, I’d be looking forward to ‘Bama. The defense showed they have the players to execute in that fashion. That same level should easily take care of Ole Miss and Auburn. And I would be looking forward to getting our crack at ‘Bama.
Saturday was a sloppy game on both sides. Ours were self-imposed on offense. Their’s were the result of us. Murray didn’t have his best game but we kept them outta the endzone. Defense shined and saved the game. Get the offensive side righted and match with the defense we saw Saturday, the sky’s the limit.

Just for kicks…..Do you realize how many haters are now officially on-watch and sweating? The Dogs have put themselves in a position (whether you like it or not) that if they show up the next four weeks and take care of business they would be 11-1. We all know that. Then, maybe, just maybe, they play the game of their lives for three hours in Atlanta vs. Alabama or LSU. If they somehow pull that off there is now doubt they will play in the national championship game.
As we know, it is widely reported (by everyone that is a SEC fan … so there is no going back just because you might not like the team that wins this SEC title game, sorry) that the SEC champion will take part in the game even if it means having one loss. Oregon and Notre Dame can fight it out for the undefeated team that is “left out.” Booo- hoooo.
Regardless, can you imagine the panic that would set in for all the haters if the Dogs get one shot at a title? Stranger things certainly have happened. Yes, they could lose one of the final four games but they should at least be favorites in each. Imagine, 11-1 headed to Atlanta, three hours of great football and then the apocalypse! Wow, what a thought. Sorry, haters! This really could happen.
We will re-visit in a month. It may not happen but my count there are really only three legitimate teams in this mix that can make this claim right now. In fact, that will be reduced to two no matter on Saturday night at about 11:30 pm when LSU/Alabama loses.
Just sayin, people. Non-Dog fans are just going to have to live with it for a few weeks. If you got a complaint….. the line forms in the back!

Beofre another game is played, Coaches need to sit the Georgia players down (Malcom Mitchell) and tell them to keep their traps shut and just play ball…speak through your actions. Its a team sport so your getting a penalty for running your stupis mouth doesn’t just hurt you but it hurts the whole team……grow up and clean it up…let the scoreboard do the talking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Steveo, you are right on with your comment. This “woofing” is poor sportsmanship, and costs us vital yards in penalties. I would also put blame on the coaches if this crap does not stop. What Mitchell did was just plain stupid and I do not care that he did make a great play right after that. He, and others are hurting the team, not just making themselves look foolish. I know, it seems to be part of the culture these days, but it can really cost us yardage if it does not stop and maybe even a ball game.

1eyedJack:
Wouldn’t it be 5 other teams that “can’t say that”?
There are 12 teams in the conference, 6 in each division. One team from each division plays in the SEC CG. It has to be a team from the east that hypothetically plays Bammer, and UGA being there reduces the count from 6 to 5.
I gave UGA no shot against Florida, but Florida had a bad day. If a team playing UF had a good offense and that many breaks on field position due to turnovers, it could have been a 35-52 point day for them. That UF team did not look like the team that hammered SC and beat LSU. The UGA defense had something to do with it, but the D was not all of it.

If Oregon and ND run the table and we, somehow, win the SEC champ game there is no way we will play for the title. The SOS will be against us as will the 1 loss. Ducks vs Irish. I done see ND beating USC but I didnt see them winning in Norman either. We need to take care of our own business and not worry about BCS games.

Dumbledawg, neither you or 1eyed are up to date. There are 14, not 12 teams in the SEC now. Seven in each division. Either way, 1eyed’s point is well taken. I think anything could happen if Georgia makes it to the championship game and even if Georgia doesnt win, it is a feat to make it there. Others may want to reduce the significance of the dawgs’ win, but not me. This is a really good football team when they get after it. SC was a fluke.

I hope TG cusses you out BIG TIME like he did number 2 Saturday. You deserve it if you are so self-important and, yes, ignorant, that you can’t control yourself for the team.

Watching the game again. So far, the first two Murray int.s hit the recievers in the hands and they popped them up in the air for the Fla. D to make a play on which they did. To you Murray bashers, go back and watch the game again. It’s a credit to Murray that he kept “chucking” and didn’t give-up. He also threw the last TD that gave us the win. The third int. was on Murray. There was a load of wind down on the, field. Don’t kbow if that had any effect…
BTW, Driskel was worse…UGA —3 INTs-2 hit our recievers in the hands —0 fumbles…
UF —2 INTs —6 fumbles —4 lost…
Who had the better game??? MURRAY —He was rock solid after the third INT…All of this against a very good Defense and a Team that beat LSU —SC —& T A&M…

The only game that matters is Ole Miss. Period. UGA players read these posts too. All the talk about playing Alabama is premature. The players reading these posts by fans about how we are going to play Alabama only takes focus off of Ole Miss. Beating FLA means nothing if we don’t win out.

The is a proud week for UGA. All of the Tech nerds who troll should quit trying to be clever and accept that UGA is rising and GT is falling fast. Quit trying to put down Jarvis who is simply the best. Quit trying to bring UGA down just to take focus away from GT’s entire program. Face it, GT lacks direction and GT could even lose some of the 28,000 faithful if things continue to spiral downward.

If we had a coach like Saban, Meyers, or Miles, I would not worry about ‘Ole Miss or Auburn but with Richt you have to worry that he won’t get them ready for the last 2 SEC games. The defense didn’t show up for SC or Kentucky. The offense didn’t show up for Fla. Are we ever going to see a game where UGA dominates on both sides of the ball? Not until we get another head coach.
