Georgia-Auburn game time set

Georgia’s Nov. 10 football game at Auburn will kick off at 7  p.m. and be televised on ESPN2, the SEC announced today.

If Georgia defeats Ole Miss in Athens on Saturday, the Bulldogs will be in position to clinch the SEC East championship and a berth in the SEC Championship game by winning at Auburn.

The Georgia-Ole Miss game will kick off at 3:30 p.m. Saturday and be nationally televised on CBS, the Bulldogs’ second consecutive game on that network.

In other news today — albeit not surprising — Georgia linebacker Jarvis Jones was named the SEC Defensive Player of the Week for his performance in the win over Florida. Jones had a career-high 13 tackles (12 solo), including 4.5 tackles for loss and three sacks. He also forced two fumbles and recovered two fumbles.

Been wondering the same thing, Lex. He’s about as obnoxious an Auburn fan as there is on these blogs–and that’s saying something. Looks like he’s also a coward. No surprise there.

The three int’s that murray threw hurt us more than mitchells penalties!! I’m still waiting on murray to become that cool customer like david greene was in his junior year….muray will have to play lights out the rest of the way…..and prove to everybody that he is the leader of the team….nobody is talking about what a great game colin barber had….you got to tip your hat to our punter…….I hope we can keep playing well and take down the rebels

If Oregon and ND run the table and we, somehow, win the SEC champ game there is no way we will play for the title. The SOS will be against us as will the 1 loss. Ducks vs Irish. I done see ND beating USC but I didnt see them winning in Norman either. We need to take care of our own business and not worry about BCS games.

Dumbledawg, neither you or 1eyed are up to date. There are 14, not 12 teams in the SEC now. Seven in each division. Either way, 1eyed’s point is well taken. I think anything could happen if Georgia makes it to the championship game and even if Georgia doesnt win, it is a feat to make it there. Others may want to reduce the significance of the dawgs’ win, but not me. This is a really good football team when they get after it. SC was a fluke.

Thsi is short but to the point. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE stop it with the stupid, moronic, selfish, self-centered personal fouls for smarting off, grabbing face masks after plays, late hits, cussing, losing your cool. I hope TG cusses you out BIG TIME like he did number 2 Saturday. You deserve it if you are so self-important and, yes, ignorant, that you can’t control yourself for the team.
Other than that I’m loving me some dogs. I’m sure Larry rolled over several times during that game as did I and I will never watch another one sober. I simply can’t take the pressure.

Spoken like a true Tech fan who obviously never saw Morgan Burnette with his helmet off or had the displeasure of hearing him interviewed..Within the next three years Jarvis will make more money than you’ve seen or will see in your lifetime. His play on the field will speak for him and his boss wont care abou his hair. Why dont show in Athens next month and tell him what you think of him to his face.Things you dont like he can fix.But “you” cant fix stupid.

Watching the game again. So far, the first two Murray int.s hit the recievers in the hands and they popped them up in the air for the Fla. D to make a play on which they did. To you Murray bashers, go back and watch the game again. It’s a credit to Murray that he kept “chucking” and didn’t give-up. He also threw the last TD that gave us the win. The third int. was on Murray. There was a load of wind down on the, field. Don’t kbow if that had any effect…
BTW, Driskel was worse…UGA —3 INTs-2 hit our recievers in the hands —0 fumbles…
UF —2 INTs —6 fumbles —4 lost…
Who had the better game??? MURRAY —He was rock solid after the third INT…All of this against a very good Defense and a Team that beat LSU —SC —& T A&M…

I would hate to see Kirby go to Auburn! Hoping he’ll hang with Saban until UGA is looking again. I’m thinking that whether Richt’s fired or just ready to get to his mission work and motivational speaking career (which he’s said he’ll be doing after his coaching career is over), Kirby Smart would be available to come back home and bring that Saban style of football with him.

And yet. . .the Gamecocks will sit at home on December 1st. What a shame Spurrier exhausted the team with his hate of UGA. Should have saved some of that for the next two games. Unfortunately, a win against GA is now pretty much irrelevant to the rest of SC’s season.

Oregon will probably get the push over ND if both win out…which ND has played a harder schedule. Dont forget about KState…with no Big 12 championship game this year either. Plus we’re assuming Bama wins out. I wouldnt mind a UGA/ND match up!! But ESPN has a stiffy for Oregon and Bama match up.

The only game that matters is Ole Miss. Period. UGA players read these posts too. All the talk about playing Alabama is premature. The players reading these posts by fans about how we are going to play Alabama only takes focus off of Ole Miss. Beating FLA means nothing if we don’t win out.

The is a proud week for UGA. All of the Tech nerds who troll should quit trying to be clever and accept that UGA is rising and GT is falling fast. Quit trying to put down Jarvis who is simply the best. Quit trying to bring UGA down just to take focus away from GT’s entire program. Face it, GT lacks direction and GT could even lose some of the 28,000 faithful if things continue to spiral downward.

Go UGA, Go Jarvis.

If we had a coach like Saban, Meyers, or Miles, I would not worry about ‘Ole Miss or Auburn but with Richt you have to worry that he won’t get them ready for the last 2 SEC games. The defense didn’t show up for SC or Kentucky. The offense didn’t show up for Fla. Are we ever going to see a game where UGA dominates on both sides of the ball? Not until we get another head coach.
