ATHENS — For a second straight week, Georgia will play in the 3:30 p.m. game on CBS.
The national television network exercised its six-day option on Sunday and picked up the Bulldogs’ game against Ole Miss this Saturday at Sanford Stadium. CBS carried this past Saturday’s game between Georgia and then-No. 2 Florida, which the Bulldogs won 17-9. The Rebels (5-3, 2-2 SEC) are coming off a 30-27 win over Arkansas in Little Rock.
It will mark Georgia’s third appearance on CBS this season. The network also carried Georgia ’s 51-44 win over Tennessee in Athens on Sept. 29. Overall, the Bulldogs have appeared on CBS 70 times and posted a record of 40-29-1.
In related news, the Bulldogs moved up to No. 7 in the latest Associated Press Top 25 poll and to No. 6 in the USA Today Coaches Poll. Georgia, which was No. 10 this past week, should also moved up in the BCS rankings, which will be released tonight.

RTR Hit-N-Run. Tou can be a Tide fan without being a jerk. You are a guest on this UGA blog-act like it. See ‘Roll Tide With Pride.’ Gurley is every bit as good as advertised, and if he ran behind BAMA’s O-Line, he would make Yeldon and Lacy (who are very good backs) watch the opening drive from the sidelines. I look forward to UGA representing the East in the SECCG, but I hope you all realize that the game will simply point out how far away the dogs’ coaching staff really is from the crystal football.

See ya’ll in the ATL in early Dec… We have gotten our wakeup call and we won’t lose to Ole Missy at Home… No way, Nada…. Murray came back in the 2nd half and finished strong which is huge for a young QB…. even Dan Jansen fell in 2 Olympics before winning the gold and a world record…. Google it for you Young-uns…..

@ Joe Jenkins:
You are dumb enough to be triplets!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
MM is a great player BUT had he NOT caught that pass and made a GREAT run for a td it is extremely likely that we would have lost the game because he had just generated a 15 yd penalty right before the catch and td run!!!!!!
The referees had notified BOTH coaches early in the 1st half that if they didn’t calm their players down that there would be some players EJECTED. I don’t give a DAMN how good he is because if he costs us the game he would have destroyed EVERYTHING UGA had worked so hard to accomplish!
Our D played a GREAT game and our O did pretty good although Murray had a BAD 1st half but Murray came through when it was realy needed for UGA to hold on and run some clock.
That being said, Jarvis Jones saved our bacon when he caused the UF fumble into the end zone where Commings recovered it. JJ played an unbelievable game as did most of our D. Tree played an outstanding game as well because he was all over the field>
I am a CMR fan for life but he needs to straighten MM out on the stuff that gets us penalized. It is totally UNNECESSARY and can and MUST be toned down!!!!!
It was really hard to hold a grudge against MM because his 45 yd catch and td run was one hell of a feat and when that happened it was one gloreous feeling
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
For those who are saying we are now SECe champs they need to STFU and realize that Ole Miss is now a very good team and Auburn is capable of beating us if we go into the game with the idea that all we got to do is show up which was what happened in our last two games with USCe and Kentucky. Our D showed what we had all hoped for and expected but for some reason(s) waited until Jacksonville to show it. JJ missed both of those games and is still affected with less than 100% recovery from his two injuries

RTR – I would suggest working on ‘class’ – but hey, your a typical Tide fan. Seriously doubt you actually attended the school.
First of all – UGA still has two conference games to win. So, we’re not there yet…
Oh, and in case you have forgotten… You still have LSU, Texas A*M and Auburn to get by.
So I woldn’t book those tickets just yet…

If we win our next 4, we should be in good shape when we get( if we get) to the SEC-CG.

Lake Dawg I agree. I like Danielson and Todd Blackledge–both are very good and are sensible. I actually like Herbstreit. He is a good color guy, but still hasn’t overed that butt whipping by the Dawgs in the early 90s. Musberger I cannot stand–actually Jesse Palmer and David Pollack also do a commendable job–the first two are my favorites.

Fl was big favorite over GA. Bama will be heavily favored against GA if both get to SEC-CG. But they don’t decide these games on paper. They do it on the field and upsets happen. Lets not panic now. Bama looks great, andlosing to them is no disgrace whether you are GA or ND or K-state or whoever. But no loss is guaranteed until they play the game. Judt saying… lets go beat Miss.

Richt will NEVER win a national championship. One win over Florida is a blip in his failure to win big games. It gives the deluded false hope that he will really deliver the ultimate prize. He won’t. So, mesmerized ones, prepare yourselves for disappointment, for it cometh right soon.

I’ve had my doubts about Richt. I expect the best. This win was a great one and it feels good to beat a Top 10 team again. Kudos to CMR. That said, some of you have nerve to trash talk the Richt doubters. You’re a blind fool and enabler of mediocrity if you haven’t concerned as well. Fortunately, Richt passed this test; more tests to come. Get level, it’s a long season.

I hope Richt walks into the locker room today and says the Florida game is now history, get it behind you and let’s get after Ole Miss, let Shawn Williams address the WHOLE TEAM this week and see
if he can motivate the offense along with the defense again.Ole Miss ain’t the same bunch they used to be. Remember their coach Hugh Freeze didn’t take kindly to Spurrier comments about them in preseason at SEC media days,I’m sure he would like to show The Evil Genius the can whip Georgia too.

I don’t know why ya’ll talking about Bama, the team better focus on Ole Miss,we got two games left in the conference before we can focus on the West’s champion,LSU could pull an upset and if we get to Atlanta we may not even play Bama.We get by Ole Miss we still got a play an Auburn team who probably thinking if they can beat us and Bama it would help give their poor season a high note to end on.

6th in the nation?? Give me a break. Who have they played other than South Carolina (LOST) and Florida (WON). They have beaten ONE ranked team and they are 6th in the nation. Doesn’t anyone consider the opposition records? There is only three teams on their schedule that have a winning record and one of those is Georgia Southern! The combined record of Georgia’s opponents current is 45-53!!! This is ridiculous.

Get your heads out of the sand. CMR didn’t win this game with coaching… those players won this game because they wanted it more.
It’s time for a HC who can game plan to help our team out. It’s time for a coach who has passion to win… and not just when you’re at risk of losing your multi-million dollar job. Prove me wrong CMR – get us to that NC game. I don’t think you have it in you.

I am an Ole Miss Rebel and am very impressed withthe Georgia defense. Yall have the most outstanding defenseI have seen this year. Maybe even better than Alabama. I think Andrew Murray is a terrific quarterback and has kept the Bulldogs in games where the defense was nto playing so well. Georgia is a great football team. If we beat yall it will be because you will have been outcoached not out talented because you guys have more talent then we do. Lets hop it is a good game on National TV both teams play well and there arevery few injuries. Go Rebs and Hotty Toddy. Thanks for allowing me to post on your board. Georgia has always had classy fans and excellant football players.
