UPDATED: UGA’s Jordan Jenkins to start at outside linebacker vs. Kentucky as Jarvis Jones rests injuries

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Jordan Jenkins will start at “Will” outside linebacker for the Georgia Bulldogs tonight against the Kentucky Wildcats.
All-American junior outside linebacker Jarvis Jones, who normally starts at that position, traveled with the team here but was not dressed out as the Bulldogs prepared for kickoff. He has not practiced since the South Carolina game on Oct. 6 due to an ankle injury. He also has been playing with a groin injury and a sore left knee.
Earlier Saturday, Ronald Jenkins, Jenkins’ father had posted on Facebook that her son was going to start.
“Great news Jordan will start his second game of the season tonight. 7pm EST on Fox Sports South. If you don’t get that channel you can watch it on ESPN3.com live on your Computer. I put all this info on FB because one I’m proud and two I have friends and family everywhere that request this info and much easier than email. Take care GO DAWGS!”
The Bulldogs have been extremely please with Jenkins, a 6-foot-3, 257-pound true freshman out of Harris County. The former 5-star recruit already started one game in Jones’ stead — Sept. 15 against Florida Atlantic — and has 15 tackles and 3 sacks on the season.
“I think he’s going to be an All-American in the next two or three years,” defensive coordinator Todd Grantham told reporters after the FAU game. “He can give us much needed depth as we move forward through the season. That’s why we recruited him.”

I think we all have to face it, the Bulldogs just arent that good. Kentucky is really making our defense look bad. If we play like this in Jacksonville there will be no game at all.

Someone needs to explain something to me about the game of football. The bulldog offense will go to the line of scrimmage, obviously with a play, as all the linemen will get down into their stance. Then the entire team will stand up and look toward the sideline for another play. Then the linemen will get into their stance again and run the second play they got from the sideline. Why is the first play never the correct play? Why do they have to get a second play?
