After watch the South Carolina – Georgia game I am convinced that the best team in the East is South Carolina. We are equal in running backs but they are a little better with the offensive line and moderately better on the defense. Their secondary is more disciplined than Georgia proven by having less missed assignments but the big difference is Conner Shaw is night and day better than Aaron Murray.
Because of Shaw and a very capable offensive line and the pass rush I think South Carolina will beat Florida on the 20TH by two touchdowns. If Florida wins that game or if the game is real close then Florida is a lot better than I expected and when Georgia plays Florida the next week Murray better show up for this one or it will be over before it starts.

So all the homers think UGA can take the Gators, well I don’t know what ya’ll were
doing before the SC game, but obviously you did see the Gators manhandle LSU.

The Gators ran the last 25 plays on the ground (no passes) and there was nothing LSU could do about it. LSU has a much tougher team than the dawgs have ever produced by Richt. BTW, did you see Richt smiling a the post game handsshake with Spurrier I guess Richt doesn’t mind losing all that much as long as we do it together.

I would think you learned your lesson last year when you backed your way into the SEC East title, only to get your a$$ handed to you in Atlanta (LSU) and then in the bowl came. You will not be facing the same Florida team that allowed you win the east and that you barely beat. The boys you beat last year, are the men that beat the dawgs into submission and hopefully get rid of Richt———–he is just too soft. Take a look at Richt’s post game press conf, and then take a look at Muschamp——–men against boys and that’s what you will see in Jax.

Just a simple question. In the last say 4 years, have we seen LSU,BAMA or Fla have two embarrassing beat downs on national TV like we’ve had in the Bama blackout game and what happened last Saturday to the Dawgs. I’m serious. Can anyone think of one. And no, not a loss, a beat down that got the nations sports fans talking.

Every decent human being hopes Aaron’s father get’s well but if Aaron can not focus on doing his job as well as expected then he needs to take the rest of the year off , go to Tampa and be with his father. Georgia will manage with Mason and the rest of the Quarterback’s. If Murray stay’s then I don’t want to hear anyone say that the reason we lost to other teams left on the schedule was because Murray could not focus because of his family problems. If we lose to another team the only reason will be because they are better than Georgia , period.

It amazes me our foe’s come on here and trash Richt to get rid of him, knowing full well we might get it right next time and OWN this conference with the right guy with the talent this state produces year after year. you would think they would be happy for our misery and want us to keep Richt forever.

The only bad news for Carolina I can think of is Clowney and Lattimore are gone as soon as eligible to leave…..and Sprurrier is 67 and loves to golf…….Welcome Skip Holtz.

JB you are right, when other teams trash Richt, it makes all the dawgs bowup and support the good family man, which is actually playing right into their hands. :)

I would imagine if you ask the LSU fans about last years MNC game, they would consider that an embarrassing beat down.

Would getting beat by LSU by 30 points, on the CBS 3:30 game of the day last year, count as a embarrassing beatdown for the Gators? After getting beat by 4 TD by Ala the week before, also on national TV.

In the middle of a 4 game losing streak?

At least the LSU coaches did not pee in their pants for a tough road game vs FLA, like Richt and company did.

Ive posted plenty of times before the loss but once again you spot off with no proof

I would have thought by now you would have learned

I guess not

Here’s a link from one a few weeks ago where I posted plenty of times during the undefeated kool-aid filled season

There are more links but I will let you do the research

by the way I was just wondering your thoughts on the contract extension that you and your buddies were calling me out on when I said it was a stupid decision and a waste for the UGA program

How will the Bulldogs regroup after the LOSS? That was no loss, that was a BEATDOWN. We heard from the players and UGA fans all week about how it was payback time for last year’s gift to us. If that was what you call payback, we’ll take it every year. We came in on Saturday night ready to play big boy football. Richt forgot to remind his team they were not going to be facing the Gamecocks of old. Spurrier has recruited the best players out of both our states and have them playing on a level the SEC has never seen at South Carolina. Your team came in totally unprepared to handle the talent we put on the field. Richt recruits well too but his results don’t relect that. You have to know how to coach that talent. Call him Evil Genius if you want, but he knows how to build a winning program and how to do it the right way.

At the end of this year, we will end up about where I thought, losing 1-2 games, finishing in or near the top 10, which is a few steps better than last year, which was a good deal better than the year before.

So purely based on that, (as well as the other factors invloved) it was a wise move to extend the contract for the head football coach.

That’s how business decision are made in the real world.

LOL

Thats how business decisions are made in the real world

Really???????

So a corporation signs agreements to underperform against their main rivals
A corporation signs extensions to CEO’s that do not have their company performing at full capacity
A corporation signs extensions to CEO’s that cause national embarrassment because the product continues to show it cannot outperform other top competitors

LOL

Still havent pulled your head out of the sand

NO a corporation makes decision based on how IT defines its own agenda/evaluation. YOU assume because those are your opinions, that they must be correct, and must be how the (UGAAA) corp see it.

Corporations don’t make decision based on a minority of customers opinions, either.

But yea, months ago…before winning the first 5, before getting to #5, before setting school records, before developing 2 stars at RB, before getting better than hoped results from out O-line……………yea, you told us all how Richt should have been fired.

Your problem is that you view Georgia Football entirely thru the prism of how you can best inflate your own ego.

Big Wally-
I detect a little sarcasm there. What you guys think of your coaches is your business. I find it regrettable that few of you offered any congrats to the winner. You clearly were manhandled by a better team. If I wanted to rub salt in the wound, I’d remind you it should have been 35 – 0, not 7. Spurrier benched our defensive starters for your scoring drive in the final minutes to protect them from possible injury in a game that was already decided.

Yea Altamaha

But not only was its months ago it was years ago

Year after year Ive said this coaching staff will lose at least 2 ball games every year

So how is that viewing it in my prism

Wait you’re on to something; let me rephrase what you said

I view the coaching staff through a prism of reality

A reality that they cant win big games and lose at least 2 or more ball games every year with more talent than any other SEC school

And yes your loyalty to this staff has everything to do with it

Great I am too loyal to the staff. The staff that coaches my Alma Mater. That makes me less likely to pitch a hissy fit wanting to “fire somebody” when they loss.

And you consistantly discount every victories that they have, and openly look forward to every loss so you can beat your chest about what a great fan you are for being outraged by it.

I guess we all have our crosses to bear.

Discount victories

What victories

KY, Vandy, GT, Buffalo, Western Carolina, Miss ST a terrible FL and Tenn team, what victories should I be excited about

I mean from Herbstreet to Finebaum to Bill King to others have asked the same question when was the last time UGA won a big game

Im glad you enjoy victories over nobody and losses over somebody with a team with the most talent in the SEC but I dont

And I think its a joke that this so called great over paid coaching staff and athletic dept can sit there and demand so much from its fanbase through donations to watch a joke product on the field

@Gamecock Crazy Breath..your only on this board to rub salt in our faces. Your on a UGA board crowing about how great your team is and how we were wiped out. Yes, we all got that Einstein. We watched the game too moron. It takes a real low class, pathetic individual to go on another teams blog and brag about how great your team is after a blowout win. What do you do in your spare time, go to Childrens Hospitals and make fun of kids with cancer?

C’mon 7576 DAWG, You really are classless!! Leave Murray alone! He’s down right now no doubt grieving about his father’s illness, so you go an punch him in the mouth. What rock did you crawl out from under? You say the team can manage just fine without Murray……well, the team can definitely manage just fine without you! If you graduated in 7576, it must have been a piss poor classless class!!

Big Wally-
I think I hit a nerve. Listen up big guy. I get no pleasure out of rubbing salt in your wound. The history between our two football programs clearly favors Georgia, so when we finally win a big one, that gives me bragging rights. So personally, I don’t care whether you like it or not. That’s the way it is. South Carolina fans have taken your taunts for a long time after losing to you for all those years. Since Spurrier got here, we now expect to win against you and we have. You need to grow some thicker skin and learn to be a better loser because, face it, Georgia is not the powerhouse it once was. I’ll let you guys argue the reasons for that. As for me participating in a “Georgia” blog, there are plenty of Bulldog fans that post on our blogs every year after the game, regardless of who wins or loses and several have congratulated us for a game well played this year. So, be nice and get used to us NOT being an automatic win on your schedule anymore.
