Georgia-Kentucky game time set

Georgia’s next football game – Oct. 20 at Kentucky – has been scheduled for a 7 p.m. kickoff, the SEC said today.

Television plans for the game won’t be set until after Saturday’s games. It will be on one of three networks: ESPN2, ESPNU or FSN.

It’ll be the fifth UGA game this season to be played at night.

CBS is holding off until after this week’s action before selecting the SEC game for its 3:30 p.m. telecast on Oct. 20. Still under consideration: South Carolina at Florida, Alabama at Tennessee and LSU at Texas A&M. ESPN will televise the two of those games not chosen by CBS, one at noon and the other at night.

Kentucky (1-5, 0-3 SEC) plays at Arkansas on Saturday. Georgia (5-1, 3-1) is off this week.

Love the Dawgs…Always will..Just can’t stand to watch another first quarter drubbing [West VA./ALA.] while Richt stands emotionless on the sidelines like he is at his daughters dance recital!

I’m just relieved the Dawgs are on TV at all. Can’t believe any network would want to show Ky–and in prime time, no less–given their record this season. Figured we’d be relegated to one of those awful nooners–if anything.

@Wait and See…

I think by now Mark Richt and staff have proven they can not coach the team or the players up. How many top ten classes have they brought in over the years? Two years ago was the Dream Team. How’s that working out so far? Muschamp has FL. going again and they will pass UGA if not this year then next. When that happens you they will be tied with TN and fighting for 3rd place in the East. And if a change is not made soon Mizzou will pass them in 5 years. Maybe then someone will be held accountable for this mess. Enjoy the rest of the season.

I tried to tell you guys all off season not to get too hopeful about your awesome coordinator that averaged 39 pts to ranked teams

But you just wanted to blame it on the offense.

Then, you thought you had an awesome offense.

The fact that “fans” are trying to encourage other fans not to go to any games is ridiculous! I was there at South Carolina and I will be there in Kentucky! The answer to the problem is not to give up. If you’ve given up on this season because of one loss, just go ahead and throw away all of your Georgia stuff, because you’re not a true fan.

I have always been a Dawgs fan and will continue to be. I read on a blog CMR said that he didn”t expect SC to be that physical. I don’t know where he has been the whole season, but everyone else knew they were physical. The only thing that the SC game has shown UGA fans is that changes need to be made and that Joe T. is not getting it done in the weight room. Physically the OL and DL continue to have problems with smaller lineman that are stronger than they are. The change in the weightroom needs to come quickly, before the end of the season. The UGA boys are big, but very weak. Being a physical team is part of being an SEC team and right now, UGA belongs in the MAC.

Really hated to lose to Spurrier. He is such an arrogant a@@, but the coaches have to do a better job in game preparation and learning how to make adjustments as the game goes on. Sorry to say, Kenarious Gates has done well in previous games, but he should have been replaced and the TE and FB should have been used to help out. Why do we even have TEs when we don’t use them. TE U has vanished and that is why top rated TEs are not comitting to UGA. UGA has averaged a lot of points in the games, but couldn’t do it against a top opponent. Still goes back tothe OC and his inability to breakdown defenses and make adjustments.

Well said bro!!!!!!!

Better just let ignoramuses totally leave Dawg Nation because of the mentality problems they have. Evididently there is nothing in their pitiful lives except a football game and they couldn’t find their a$$ with both hands in their hip pockets so naturally this applies to EMBARRASSED and all his ilk.

Its a football game. What are you all talking about a fanout.. Support your team through thick and thin. You can’t win them all. When they win the East again this year don’t be jumping back on the bandwagon. I hate fake fans..These are young men trying there best. Either support them or gone by your business….

Please keep boycotting games every time our Dawgs screw-up like they did Saturday…..breaking their 15 game (regular season) winning streak. Thanks for your tickets and I’ll bring plenty of fans who love the Dawgs and don’t give up on them so easily. P.S. I bet we will have huge crowds and a sea of red for the last 3 home games no matter what we do against the Gators. Go Dawgs!

Your a mental case.

Fans do not attend this game, maybe empty seats is the only way to change the mediocrity at UGA

Yo Moron, the game is at Kentucky. There will be plenty of empty seats but not because of your dumba** idea. One loss and some of you fans make it sound like the season is over. Quit being a bunch shmucks or jump on another team’s bandwagon. We lose another 3 gmaes and I will support Richt being removed. Until then, there is still a lot of football.

To embarassed, I’m done and all the other haters, SEE YA!!!!!!!!. If anybody listened, since the beginning of the season we knew our Oline was suspect. That their would be growing pains. If i am not mistaken a lot of people said it would take the dawgs about 1- 2yrs to hit our stride. With the new recruits we have been getting and will get. Building depth. Even though our defense isn’t quite what we thought, are you going to tell me everyday in your life is perfect and that you never do anything wrong? Even computers that are programmed, have glitches. I didn’t like the beat down. I watch all the hype from the sports stations to get fans in a frenzy. Its amazing how many other teams loose that they say should win. But its bad when we as fans take it out on coaches and 18-22 year old young men. Nobody thought Arkansas would beat Auburn. My wife reminds me it’s just a game. And when you hear about A. M. dad it should put things into perspective. Just remember how long it took Dooley to win is N. Championship, and if not for H. Walker maybe, maybe not. I can see good things coming, can you? If not then jump off the wagon and shut up.

I am going to Lexington and win or lose, As a graduate school alumni, I will support the University and in this case, the players and coaches, especially when they are suffering from a humiliating defeat from a foe. By not showing up in Sanford Stadium suggests that you have an influence on the hiring and firing of a coach. How arrogant you are to assume that you have that influence. The decision makers will make their decisions regardless of whether you show up or not. The empty seats only tell the players that you do not care for them. If you are a fan, you will show up and support the team no matter what. Loyalty counts. Especially when a friend needs you the most and that is when they are down.

Anyone that thinks we’re beating Florida needs to put down the crack pipe and check themselves in to a drug treatment facility immediately. That’s all I’ve got to say. Maybe you didn’t see the Florida v. LSU game. Florida is every bit as physical up front as South Carolina. They will likely be undefeated when the play us with a lot to play for and full of confidence. Driskell is going to eat our porous Willie Martinez Version 2.0 defense alive. Our offensive line will get its jock handed to them just like they do against every good defensive front. We’re toast.

Its not just “one loss” as all you homer apologists insist. Its a pattern of losses against good teams over many many many years. And they aren’t just losses. They are usually painfully humiliating beat downs. You people are out to lunch. 2012 marks 5 YEARS IN A ROW that we have not been able to even stay on the damn field against the top teams. Good grief wake up and smell the coffee people.

I’m very frustrated, but I’m not throwing in the towel just because UGa will not win a NC and will probably have to settle for the Sugar, Outback or Capital One Bowl!!! I also can’t get over the fans (I’m using that term loosely) who feel a need to blast CMR for his religious beliefs just because he lost a game!!!!

You are correct in the fact that we haven’t beaten a “top10″ ranked team in 5 years, but we blew 2 top 25 teams out of the stadium last year. Where do you draw the line when you make statements like, “we haven’t been able to stay on the field against top teams”?

October 9th, 2012

Nobody is surrendering. Last I checked they’re still going to play the game. If the team and people like you don’t like me saying that we will not beat Florida, guess what? They can put on their big boy pants and prove me wrong. I’m not holding them back. Go for it fellas. I’ll believe it when I see it. 5 years and counting since we last had a victory of any note….

“….but we blew 2 top 25 teams out of the stadium last year”

LOL. 8-5 Auburn and Georgia Tech? Just LOL. I know we can beat 8-5 teams Frances. The entire coaching staff could take the week off before the game and we could still probably beat an 8-5 team with all of our talent. We’ve got guys riding the pine that could potentially be NFL starters one day and you’re sitting here bragging about victories over 8-5 teams? Hilarious. Simply hilarious.

UGA Hierarchy is NOT happy. D Dooley and Chris Peterson are my leaders to take over if we lose to UF. CTG is as good as gone. Something is terribly wrong with this staff and their ability to work together. McGarity is making the schedule so easy the fans don’t see that there are problems.

CMR is SOFT and GA’s football team will continue to be soft with him in charge. Clearly, many of you are fine with the way things are going. We shouldn’t be saying give him another year – we shouldn’t wait for the new recruits to start playing – always the same crap – LOOK, many of you are correct – football is only a game and the most important thing in life is your personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. And, if I wanted the GA football team to have a spirtual leader CMR is the man. HOWEVER, I would like to win a NC – and unfortunately CMR is not the person who can get us there. Doesn’t mean I don’t like CMR or think he’s not a fine man. It just means he cannot take this program where it needs to go. He has had more than enough time, enough talent, and chance after chance in big games to get it done. He flat out hasn’t gotten done.

Hire Kirby Smart – he has learned from the best in college football and he is GA boy.

Taken one game at a time, Georgia can win every remaining game. Just got to play like South Carolina did against UGA on Oct.6th: like you want it & meant it more than the other guy across from you in the other uniform ! & then do it !! Win on every snap. Go you Hairy Dogs (Dawgs)

To all the people who think that a fanout is a ridiculous idea, some of us that support the idea are not basing this off of one game. It is based off of years of disappointment. Come on, stop acting like you are a better fan than those who have common sense and know that the time for Richt to go is long past due.

As a UGA grad I would like to say that Mark Richt is a good man and a good football coach. He can beat the mediocre teams and have 8-10 wins a year with the easy schedule we have. However, if we are to compete with the upper tier teams like Alabama,South Carolina, Fla etc. we need a new Head Coach.Coach Richt does not put a priority on recruiting on the O line. He prefers to recruit flashy running backs, WR’s etc.instead of some hosses on the O line.MIchagan State exposed our O line in the bowl game last year when they stopped about 20 or so running plays at the line of scrimmage or in the backfield.Kirby Smart would make a good Head Coach and with a good OC, I believe we could play with the top teams in a couple of years.

I`m sure many of the raggers out there I`ve read since the Carolina game never played ball except in their backyard with sisters or small cousins, but those of you reading who received news about a parent`s health crisis know the shock that rocks you to your core mentally, physically and spiritually. That type of trauma doesn`t let go in a few hours or a few days, and focusing for a big ballgame no matter how talented one normally is is impossible. So those of you inclined to throw in the towel on Ga`s season, fire everyone on the staff and start coaching yourself, why not wait and see how the rest of the season goes first.? My bet is Murray comes out and plays well the rest of the year. Glad none of you folks were on any of my teams!

Our program is no better now than in 2001 when Richt took over. He had a good five year run from 2002-’05 but still underachieved during that time span, choking against Tennessee in ‘04, losing to those pathetic Zook teams and getting drilled in the ‘03 championship game. He has now come full circle and returned to mediocrity. It would be hard to lose more than two games this year and he just may do it. Time for a change but it won’t come for a few more years.
