Spurrier: ‘They can’t say they own us anymore, that’s for sure’

I’m not going to blame it all on the coaches…because rambo and tree and the other guys that got suspended ….really hurt the team!!! I just proved my point that these seniors didnt care about the team….anyways i blame vince dooley for settinh this team back years ago when he hired ray goff….something is just missing with our program and it’s going to take an elite coach to get us over this hump

James Franklin, Derek Dooley, Dan Mullen, hell, even Chiczik would have had this team more ready to play than they were last night. UGA has about the 8th or 9th best coach in the league.

That’s what I get called when I criticize Richt, or bring up the bad loses. You know, the losses against every single good team we have played since ‘08? And forget the embarrassing scores, Richt-Fan-Boys don’t care. He is a good man, don’t ya know? And, and Spurrier isn’t classy. And, and Saban is evil. And, and, we better be thankful we have Richt – nevermind he can’t beat any coach, unless we have overwhelming talent over.

How many of you, when we got 2 TDs behind last night, really believed Richt could come back and lead UGA to victory in that game?

Not me. I knew which sideline had the best coach. I watched every second, but I knew it was over halfway in the 1st Quarter.

Unless one is in the Richt-Fan-Boy-Club, and giddy with the thought of 10 wins, it’s another wasted season and it’s just sad.

Tech fan here, I’ll trade UGA’s record with Tech’s record. Any takers. Didn’t think so. You bunch of red neck never went to UGA fans need to get a life. You freakin expect jawga to go undefeated every year then cry and want to fire the coach when you lose a game. I can’t
figure out why anyone would want to coach UGA with your unrealistic fans.

Just like he didn’t care what UF’s historical record vs UGA was when he got there . . .

This redneck doesn’t expect UGA to ever go undefeated, but I expect us to compete and be prepared, and look like we belong on the field with all opponents. And we don’t, and we aren’t, and we don’t.

The cold hard truth is that UGA in the SEC is nothing more than Clemson is in the ACC. Great recruiting, lots of hype, an NC every 30 or 40 years. A conf/div champ every now and then. Overblown expectations. Decent programs. Not elite. Not even close.

Or can you not coach against a real team, and why are you so committed to bozo and erin murray? You have the power to change things but you don’t why not? We never can stop a moblie qb….our defense has been passive all season….a defense with four first rounders and playing so awful….well i guess wecan just play to win games the rest of the year…hopefully beat fla…and hope sc loses twice. here we go again hoping other teams can do our dirty work for us…..same ol uga football !!!

I’m sick of hearing we can win out too. That’s hog wash we don’t deserve anymore glory. The uga pregram is a joke under richt. I wish everyone would quit buyin richts crap. If he goes 10 and 2 fire his ass and let everyone know we expect excellance at uga. But as long as they let richt lose a few every year georgia won’t win nothing major. Why bother calling for the coaches to be fired. Everyone will jump back on the Mark Richt bus if we win out and back into the sec championship and get beat down by bama. All we seem to care about is winning the east no drive to win the national title. Why should we expect uga to change when the fan base never does either.

Wake up. This is UGA, not Bama, and from the President on down to the water-girl, UGA is happy with 10 wins and you might as well be too. Heck, where else could the coach lose 7 games in one season, lose to UCF (yeah, UCF) and everyone on his staff get raises?

The players to have a good season…but not the Coaching staff…CMR has no fire…and should fire Bobo for no offensive scheme against a great defense, fire Garner for being a lazy recruiter on the lines of scrimmage, fire Friend for under-recruting the OL and creating a lack of depth…and fire himself for not firing these guys!!! Same old story!!! Feel sorry for the players for having a staff that does not have them prepared…that kind of loss will put UGA behind for years in recruiting, etc!!

Lou Holtz looks like a genius now…and Herbstreet and Mussberg hit it on the head during the game. I can’t remember a supposed # 5 team in the country getting that exposed in a game…on primetime in front of a national audience. Embarrasing doesn’t even come close.

UGA clearly thought they were better than they were after having played inferior teams…then, when they finally played a good team, they were proven to be what they are…a pretender.

Our side talks like we could have won if this and if that and if, if , if……the truth is, Ga is not an SEC contender. Ga is mediocre. A mediocre team with really good players that never wins big games anymore.

It’s time to start talking about our DC. I really thought he knew his business last year. This year….same players with a year of experience and we are terrible. That has to be a failure of the DC.

Hum………I can remember the last time it happened. Try 2008 when UGA had college gameday in Athens for the the infamous Alabama Blackout beatdown. 30-0 by halftime. UGA simply needs to go get Kirby Smart right now. Just buy out Richt and get Kirby now.

We just doubled most of their salaries!

But you are wrong about Bobo. He runs Richt’s offense (remember last season Richt vowed to take a bigger part in the game-planning),and calls the plays Richt wants him call – Richt hears every call in that headset – he would overrule it if he thought it needed to be.

Don’t blame Bobo for dropped passes and overthrows that coulda made a different outcome in the game last night.

Spurrier the master manipulator but still UGA owns the series, but thats how he works it, I still want to know when he will get busted for alumni getting him players, I remember rumblings about some guy in rock hill pushing kids to SC but that died down.

Spurrier is just bitter that no matter how many times he beats UGA he still wont win a NC as a player, the old UGA teams took care of that, the ones who had coaches that got players prepared.

Sc has caught up to us because richt kept willie around for to long. sc has improved on defence every year and we have been just inconsistent. I would take lorenzo ward over grantham….and that is sad. fellow dawg fans have y’all noticed how many big passing plays we have given up? I’m a DAWG fan that grew up outside Athens who has lived in Colorado for the last 18yrs. I was a military man who traveled the globe displaying my red, white and black proudly. I always tell folks that you can take me out of Georgia but you can’t take Georgia out of me. Even in suburbia Colorado, you can drive down Prairie Grass Lane and see my oversized rock/boulder that was custom made proudly displaying the Georgia “G.”
At the moment, I’m hurt, disgusted and just plain mad! Richt’s knowledge of football is among the best but his ability to lead is clearly in question. From his very first bowl game against BC (the punt on fourth down), the loses against Florida with Green and Edwards, last years loss to Colorado and a losing season, It’s clear as day. Richt has to go. Ultimately, he is not to blame. It’s the decision makers who deserve the pointed finger: the President, the Regents, the AD and yes the Boosters. Until those stars align and agree that The University of Georgia deserves the best, We’re stuck with a team that has the potential to be among the elites such as Alabama, LSU, and Florida but lacks the commitment from our UGA leadership. So next time you jump on or off the Richt ban wagon, please realize who really is at fault.
Richt said it best, “Tonight we weren’t very good, but the world hasn’t ended.” He was right there was no fire and brimstone. We still have the lack of commitment from UGA leadership and once again a whole lot of emptiness for Georgia fans.

How many big, national-spotlight games can you fall flat on your face in and still keep your job? Richt has made a fool of all of us. I can’t believe anyone still supports hims. I’m not sitting through another game like last night’s. If it’s a big game, we will show up flat and confused. Guaranteed. All the wins against the Vanderbilts or Missouris in the world will never make up for the fact that we lose every single game of national consequence.

I’m not so sure we can beat auburn or ole miss and tech…those are not lock wins by no means. because we are so poor in the trenches….. i even think we will struggle with ga southern because we struggle so badly at stopping the run. I just can’t believe the last time we beat sc was in 09…unacceptable richt….aaron murray will never win the big game…the sad thing about it is their is not a qb on the roster that is better than him….I can’t wait too see what brice ramsey can do

UGA needs a hc like Chris Petersen who study defense, offense and put emphasis on fundamentals and technics. Even when he lose a assistent coach his team keeps winning. My hc choices:

face it fans no matter how much we love our uga football we are stuck with this staff because everyone thinks Richt is such a good role model and such a nice guy. Guess he is the nicest coach in football as much as he keeps Murray in games that he can never seem to handle. They can not adjust and make changes to win. Everyone knows what we do on third and long……run then punt. It’s easy to beat such predictable teams when even the fans know whats coming next Imagine how easy it is for a good coaching staff to prepare for such a team. But man we sure do look good when we play those powder puff games.

12 years…..and this. This state has 5 times the HS talent SC does…..Sprurrier is right…I just don’t know what happens to them when they get to Athens…. Let’s see, it’s not a lack of talent….or money…. or facilities…… or the weather…..Geez, you think it’s coaching And here’s the damn problem…. you can’t fire a 10-2 or 9-3 coach……..That’s our problem. I’m sick this AM….Unless he resigns, we are stuck forever with this crap.

Actually think he would quit with his salary…..He does that and he really would be in the dog house. He’ll ride this train as long as we let him. Only way to get him out is to get the universities attention. Instead of a red out or blackout why not walk out and let the stadium sit empty for a couple of games bet the heads would start to roll then
