After Tennessee beats Florida, then the DAWGS pummel Tennessee, more people will take note that this team is for real. Atlanta is just the start.

The OL needs significant improvement and Murray needs to settle down in the first qtr.

The glaring things we need to improve is run blocking. There have been some nice holes, but not much explosive push off the line of scrimmage. When we can do that, the wear-down factor for the opposing D will come into play by half-time instead of Q4. That means more cushion, more play action, bigger margins of victory.

Bobo still blows. His play calling is awful. He still runs when the defense knows we are running and passing when they know we are passing. For the love of god man..SHAKE IT UP a little. And by shaking it up I do NOT mean trick plays and the spread offense. Pound the rock early, pound it in the middle and pound it late. Let murray take some shots, just quit being so bland. I dont blame Sheldon for saying he turned off the game. Obviously, its definitely grown man football and not old man, but I get what he is saying. Half the time we are boring. Now I really dont care about boring because i like W’s a lot more. But without our stout defense, we would be hurt relying on Bobo

I don’t care if they win ‘em all 7 to 6, or 13 to 10, or any other low, boring, “old man football” score, as long as they win ‘em ALL!!!!
Coming up for the Vandy game… can hardly wait!!!

True Die Hard dog fan but I need to point out we have still not beat a quality team in about four seasons (top15). After two games it worries me that talk about NC ect…Really…Really Happy we beat Missu but if we get cocky Tenn-SC-Fla may brings us back to earth… way as of today we hang with Bama or LSU…..maybe as the season progesses we can get to that level……did anyone else think that holding up the signs and stomping on the infield logo was classless by “some” of our players……we acted like we just won the SEC…..don’t like the thug like actions of some… smack and celibrate once we have done something.

I think Bobo is much improved this season! Throwing long. Toss to the tailback. He must have watched what happened on all those tosses to the best college football player ever, HERSCHEL WALKER, the goal line stalker. GO DAWGS!

I’m most impressed with the coaching staff. I think Grantham has really energized a coach Richt and allowed him to concentrate more on leadership and preparation. I think Granthams NFL experience has helped the dawgs prepare more like NFL teams travel and prepare. I think CMR has taken hold of the discipline issues by not backing down on punishments and his tolerance is short. I think the world of the job this coaching staff is doing. It’s gonna be fun to watch! Go Dawgs!

I agree with your statement Texas doing that kind of stuff only invites payback down the road. Players getting in the opponents faces after plays just looks bad. Nothing wrong with playing with swagger but bad sportsmanship is lo rent, act like you have been there before even if you have’nt.

Here we go again, my daily Bobo “may not be greatest but he doesn’t deserve scorn” post. I too thought Bobo was the problem until I saw these numbers in the 2011 Media Guide.

Most yards in Georgia history.
Most 1st downs in Georgia history
Most TD passes in Georgia history.
Most TD’s in Georgia history (Tie with 42 Rose Bowl team)

I see a team that had 72 scoring drives last year and 58 punts.

I see a team that is unpredictable running 50% pass and 50% run.

I see a QB that is 6 passing TD’s away from the great four year record of David Greene (72 passing TD’s)

I see a team that is 15th in scoring offense this year, soon to be top ten after this week.

I see Bobo who has produced 3 NFL QBs ……Coach Gruden lauded his efforts last week in print.

Bobo is not the greatest, but Jesus folks, he is not the worst, he doesn’t deserve this daily diatribe.

Get on board, leave the negative comments to the fearful jealous trolls who can’t stand our success, can’t stand the fact that Coach Richt and Mike Bobo have lost only 4 road games to the mighty SEC west in 12 years.

Can’t stand that in 12 years we’ve had 7 top ten finishes, finished 2nd one year, and 3rd one year in the final polls, that we are poised to run the table now that we have the running game we didn’t have last year. That we have had 8 ten win seasons. That we have the running backs with talent AND character to compliment a QB of Aaron Murray’s stature. That we have a defense with 9 NFL draft picks.

I’ll keep posting the truth every day until the Bobo bashing goes away like it has on the Dawg Chat.

I’m sure one loss will bring the bashing back and prove to everyone how wrong I am. But we ain’t there yet this season. The big stumbling block came and went for most negative nellies. Get on board true Dog fans. Post more positive responses and drown out the negative post. It should be three to one.

Go you hairy dogs.

The O line needs significant improvement on pass protection, run blocking has been okay. Murray has to settle down before the 1st qtr is over and Bobo needs to run Gurley early in the game and more. Set up an opening drive that takes 1st quarter jitters into account…run the stud! Otherwise I fear another above average season for us with 2 losses.

@ Top Row Dawg, great post!! I think BoBo is actually doing a good job this year in his play calling, the players just have to execute.

good heavens, ‘ i fear another average 10-2 season.? when i went to uga, we were winning 3, that’s 3, games a season for three years under poor johnny griffith. then dooley arrived, and we were 6-4, beat tech, and went to the sun bowl. it was pure joy; no one complained. then the next year we beat alabama and bear b. 10-2 average, oh, just GROW UP. you and your kind just make me sick.

The offense hasn’t been the problem. Defense, until the last 2 years, special teams, and scheme have been issues. I agree. Leave Bobo alone!

They can improve on giving Todd Gurley 25 carries a game – 9 carries are not enough for a rb who can hit the hole hard and could deliver a devastating straight arm. He work hard for extra yardage while in the grasp of a defender with extraordinary balance. He recovered his own fumble – when was the last time that happen? Todd Gurley is the way to Miami.

One thing is for certain, UGA is never going to get better Run Blocking until they RUN THE BALL!!!!!!! The backs are not going to get better running until Bobo calls enough runs to get the backs in a rhythm. We will never be a good balanced team until this happens… There is no way that Henry kid from Florida comes to GA with no more running than we have had in the first two games.. That is going to be a red flag to all backs that may be interested in GA if we do not start running the ball more. Also to do this we need to recruit many Offensive Lineman each year at least more than four a year would suffice.

Well lets start off by saying good job on the win in missu. The old bulldogs would have came out and lost that game with 100 excuses to back them up. This is a new day, a new team, a real leader instead of high hopes draftees such as Moreno and Stafford. Jones is a real leader, the team feed of his emotion. nd for all the critics that think once Jones is gone so would the thrill, wrong! Mitchell is what the doctor ordered I saw a differenrt team that second half. Focus, determination, effort this is the type of game that can push you ahead later in the season. I’m not crowning them, just clapping for them, its good to see GA performe in a hostile situation. So. Thanks to the team all the way around includung the coaches………… Okay you to Bobo! Thanks!
