Georgia-Vanderbilt game time set

The Georgia-Vanderbilt football game on Sept. 22 in Sanford Stadium will start at 7:45 p.m. and be nationally televised on ESPN2, the SEC said today.

That will be Georgia’s third consecutive night game, following last week’s at Missouri (which also was televised on ESPN2) and this week’s against Florida Atlantic in Athens (7:30 p.m. Saturday on CSS).

Also today — no surprise here — the SEC named Georgia linebacker Jarvis Jones the league’s Defensive Player of the Week for his performance in the victory over Missouri.  Jones already had been named the National Defensive Player of the Week by the Walter Camp Football Foundation.

Who’s a better defensive player than JJ right now? I wish he could’ve gotten that int into the end zone cause he deserved to get the pick 6

I would say that at this point the PAC 10 and the SEC champs will play for the national title.

I would agree with this. Oklahoma, and Florida St could throw a serious wrench into things if they go undefeated though. Its all about media respect and both of those teams have it.

[...] Other news items from Monday, Georgia’s Sept. 22 home date against Vanderbilt got picked up by ESPN2 for a 7:45 p.m. broadcast, Jones was named Walter Camp national and SEC defensive player of the week. And don’t forget [...]

Wake-up, alone. Turn on the computer. Hit refresh all day until a new UGA blog pops-up. Spend the rest of the day obessing about UGA and playing on the blog. Go to bed, alone.

Why do some of you care about all the BS . Georgia is 1-0 in the SEC. That is all the matters. Last year we lost to South Carolina because of our on turnovers . Even Spurrier admitted that he doesn’t see how his team won the game. We beat the heck out of South Carolina last year but after the game Georgia was 0-1 and South Carolina was 1-0 in the SEC.
It doesn’t matter if we win by 1 point of 50 point. The only thing that matters is the win.Everything else is BS.

GTBob – I just don’t think that FSU or Oklahoma have the cache they once had. I think USC still has it. My guess, and of course I hope I am wrong, Bama/LSU vs Oregon/USC.

I’m GTBob’s plastic blowup girlfriend. He can’t rise to the occasion anymore due to his age and the fact that he is a Tech guy so he bought me.

Do you like my ruby red lips shaped in an O? GTBob does, for what its worth.

Wish he would at least take a bath but the home healthcare nurse who comes to see about him once a week is the only way he bathes.

The grocery delivery boy won’t even come past the front steps.

I can sure understand why the Mrs GTBob illed herself twenty years ago. Died right on the GT logo that GTBob had placed on their bed. Sad thing too.

They never had kids. Wonder why.

I have never argued otherwise. Still doesn’t change the fact that Missouri is not a good team or a good program.

We have yet to beat a team in the top 25 and Missouri will be lucky to win one or two sec games this year. Please remember that we were losing late in the third to a team that will not have a winning record at the end of the 2012 season.

Missouri had four terrible mistakes: a missed touchdown pass late in the third, a dumb coach calling for a fake punt, interception by J Jones, no one in the backfield to account for J Jones

The head coach of Missouri should be fired for allowing J Jones to run free!!!!!!!!!

Bob…Missouri does not have a history of championships but in comparison to your school over say the last 10 yrs Missouri is much, much more respected nationally at that was before their inclusion into the nations best conference the SEC. Programs tend to get better in the SEC….ACC see Miami.

Vandy comes close vs SEC teams they just can’t quite get over the hump and they never will cause the talent level is too deep, they’d be above .500 in the ACC and only struggle with FSU and Clemson and VA Tech

We own you bugs, and blooding your nose each november gets boring. Your joke of a coach is on the chopping block and feeling the heat. Thank god for techs high school schedule. You dont deserve to talk about vandy, because they have a lot more class than you nerds. Florida state should win playing all of you high school caliber ACC TEAMS.

Games on CSS are normally blacked out on ESPN3 for local teams. CSS should not be able to televise the games until they put their station on DirecTv and Dish so the larger audience can see the game. The SEC should remove CSS from the schedule until they make the game available to the rest of the fans. Don’t say buy Charter because they raise their rates too often (twice this year) Another option is don’t black out ESPN..
