Come on Dawgs. Prove your ranking. Alabama had to contain a tougher threat than Franklin – although Franklin is good (watch highlights from last year’s bowl). I don’t want to have to listen to all the Big-12 wankers talking about how over-rated the SEC is if we lose.

We are headed out Friday morning for the game. Fight to Dallas, layover, then flight to St. Louis. Rent van and head to Columbia. I am personally 1-1 in games I have attended west of the Mississippi. Hopefully I’ll be 2-1 after this trip.

I went to the Missouri football blog, how freaking boring. I swear this is one of their posts; I copied it:
Agreed. Oddly enough, several years ago, I made a pecan-struesel-topped sweet potato dish that was a huge hit and is now much beloved traditional Thanksgiving dish in my family. I’m asked to make it every year. Grosses me out just to prepare it.

Best way to beat a high octane offense is to not let them have the ball.Bobo needs to play ball control and keep the defense fresh to win it at the end of the game.We know that special teams won’t do it.

I don’t feel good about this either. The silence about suspensions reminds me of the Black Out game against Alabama. It doesn’t make me feel any better remembering how frequently the middle of the field was so open you could moved a house through it.

Pressure Pressure Pressure on their QB so the undermanned secondary will have a better chance of covering. If we make it through the next 3 games unscathed then I think we run the table. Enjoyed the birds.

Final and Correct Judge here on earth, I like how the Dawgs’ front seven matches up against Missouri’s injury-depleted offensive line. Pressure should be applied constantly. If our boys play up to their level of talent, it should be a convincing win for Georgia.

The good, bad and the ugly. The good: I think this will be a very entertaining game. Very close and down to the wire. If you’re a college football fan this will be one to watch. The bad: I think this will be a very entertaining game. Very close and down to the wire. That’s just sad because we are supposedly a top 10 team and supposed to contend for an SEC title. Bama would be a 21 point favorite in this game and they wouldn’t be nervous about it one bit. The ugly: We could very well lose this game. We did not look great on Saturday and we have not fared well recently going out west to play a game. Colorodo. Okie State. Now this. I’m nervous.
Thanks.

Mizzou has a few playmakers, not much more. Their lack of depth will be telling quickly. Dawgs get an early lead and keep it throughout the game. Don’t expect an open playbook or theatrics by Murray. Mizzou will be welcomed to the SEC with a good dose of run it up your @zz smash mouth football with some peppered pass plays substituting often to a 12-14 point victory

Georgia will win because of their defensive line. Missouri isn’t a drop-back passing team, but they will still feel the effect of Jarvis Jones. Plus Lawrence and Murphy won’t be able to run on Georgia’s defensive line thanks to Jenkins and Jones. Make the SEC look good, Georgia!

Well I was reading a post the other day and the guy broke down the 62 points mizzou scored against Sw la.
28 of those came on def.
14 of those were punt returns .
20 is what the OFF. actually scored.
So I though about the breakdown of our scoring 21 through the air . 14 Rushing 7 kickoff return 3 of a field goal . ( missed a 45 yarder ) .
that’s 35 on the off . and it was very vanilla ( or old man football ) . SO I think if we have no turnovers
we will win 35- 20. all that said it will be a barn burner of a game . GO Dawgs !!!

Altough I attended UGA, I now live in Missouri and believe me, this will be a tough game for both sides. Learn the term “Mizzou” because we’re now in the SEC and want to make this game our calling card! I’ll be there in the stadium and while UGA tugs at my heart, there’s a spirit here that will overcome the slim 3 point spread that UGA noe enjoys. Mizzou by 7.

Mizzou will be CRUSHED this weekend. No way they move the ball on this defense. Franklin isn’t going to be seeing anything but the sky while laying on his back all game. Dawgs have too much talent on both Offense and Defense, not to mention we’re bigger, faster, and stronger. Expect a lot of sacks, picks, and Gurley running over that silly excuse for a defense..

Vols will beat both Mizzou and UGA this year with SOD! IF Vols can get the running game going then look out.
I noticed how quickly we learned the 3-4 over UGA. Grantham is overated and UGA is pathetic in red zone defense. Buffalo went 4 for 4 in the red zone against UGA. Same as last year. UGA will go 5-3 at best in SEC play – 4-4 at worst.lo
UGA just can’t get it all together at the same time. Hey, kind of like Fulmers last few years. Richts window of opportunity to win a NC has closed – UGA needs to move on if seriously interested in bringing home a title.

The thing that I think will hurt GA the most is that our LB’s seem very slow and unathletic..stiff and out of shape. We will have trouble covering in space big time. Bobo better come with a aggressive offensive gameplan from start to finish, because we are going to need a lot of points. The LB core reminds me of some of the groups we had during some of Donnan’s year. Not Jones and Ogletree, but everyone else.

The DAWGS should win this game going away! I believe ball control is the answer! Just don’t let them be the ones doing the controlling. I’m sure they have in mind of piling up first downs and wearing out the DAWGS defense. That is exactly what we should be doing with them. I like what Inlet DAWG said about their injured depleted offensive line. This will be a huge advantage for our D line. Force Franklin to stay in the pocket like Alabama did with Michigan. Franklin can beat you both ways, just don’t let that happen!
We’ll sure see how good our secondary is without Rambo and Commings! It would be nice to have Tree and Rambo but I suppose smoking weed takes precedence over the team! I’d like to see the DAWGS win without them simply to lessen their huge egos of being irreplaceable. GO DAWGS!!

IMO, here’s what it comes down to for this game: In 2011, both UGA and Mizzu averaged 32.2 PPG offensively, so clearly both teams can score points… The difference is that even with UGA missing some key starters, they are MUCH better on defense than Mizzu. So, will Mizzu score some points on the Dogs? Yes! But, the Dogs will score much more on the Tigers, which equates to a win for the Dogs!
The only thing that keeps Mizzu even close in this one, is if the key defensive starters for the Dogs remain out for this game… if they play, Dogs win easily by 3 TDs. Without them, Dogs still win by 10-14 points.

This is hopefully going to be a great game. Georgia needs to create pressure in the middle and contain with their ends to totally box franklin in. Franklin is the double threat he can break away with his feet and is competent enough to make smart passes he will be the key shut down as we are still missing jones. i do agree georgia needs to run the ball an own the clock im excited to see how the linebackers for mizzou do gooden an ebner love big collisions. There was a time when Georgia coach Mark Richt had a strong road record, but in recent years when playing an unfamiliar opponent on the road, Georgia has faired poorly.
Since 2009, Georgia has lost to Oklahoma State, Colorado, Central Florida and Boise State. Georgia is 6-9 on the road since 2009 and 10-12 over the last three years. Mizzou will surprise the SEC/Media and DAWG fans with an impressive victory. 31-21 Mizzou.
