HOOVER, Ala. — Georgia has six players on the preaseason All-SEC teams picked by the media.

The selections were revealed this morning at SEC Media Days.

Am I the only person who thinks we are making a huge mistake moving Mitchell to defense? I am not confident in King or Brown to stretch defenses.

In your opinion, and since I have worn it on my sleeve so often, will our o-line be able to play with the good teams? I really just cannot see it this year..and I love my Dawgs! We just cannot recruit there like we do other positions……………we have enough talent to beat the bad and middle of the road teams, but against the big boys, our o- line seems not quite ready to measure up.

He is not moving there exclusively. He is a shut down CB and first round pick in the NFL.

Alec Ogletree should be all SEC he will be at the end of the year.

It doesn’t matter if Murray doesn’t get those untimely turnovers taken care of this season.

I would like to see Murray not just lock in on one receiver- at least dart his eyes one way before throwing

Go Dawgs!!!!

Hey DawgInMonty, We are not moving Mitchell to defense by choice but rather by necessity. One of our starting corners (Commings) is suspended the 1st 2 games and the other one (Branden Smith) is rumored to be suspended as well. We also had another corner leave (Love). That only leaves Damian Swann as the only other corner with any experience.

I am definitely disappointed that Aaron Murray was not present to represent UGA at SEC Media Days. Instead was allowed to go to an Elite 11 contest in California! Big MISTAKE for the player (Murray) and the coaches to have allowed this to take place!

This actually shows what is most important in Murray’s life… and undoubtedly it is not the UGA TEAM.

That should be a little wake up call for Murray. If he doesnt throw crazy and turn the ball over in big games last season he is easily the first team quarterback.

glaring weaknesses across the board for UGA 2012 and yet I and others have bought in. MUST BE THE SCHEDULE. If this list is evidence in the 2012 season to come, may be some serious heartache. Murray is no where near in the top 5 QB’s of the SEC. T King has speed, size and gets open — one problem is when the the ball does hit his hands it is less than 50% chance he catches it, hope it improves in 2012. The linebacking group from UGA does not get much respect, J Jones is a speed rusher from the outside but cannot handle head up runs, he gets bowled over. Todd Grantham has got to have his D team ready each game.

Oh, 2 players out of 24 on first team, not good.

J Jenkins, from last I heard many weeks ago will not be elgible. NCAA – Must pass 18 out of 24 semester hours on prior two semesters. Summer school does not count towards anything with elgibility as the rules read per source. Confirmation from an AJC sports writer, obviously not. Confirmation from sports radio personalities, obviously not.

Someone please find out what is going on with this, is he out or in for 2012?

what game are you watching

Hey Game Changer-

Are you basing the team on all-sec preseason picks? Did you really question the strength of the UGA Linebacker crew? I have only been watching UGA for the past 30+ years, but this looks like the best group in that time. Oh yeah, how can Aaron Murray not be a Top 5 QB in the SEC. Please name 5 that are better. He might make some untimely mistakes and does need to cut down on those, but not Top 5, come on. And finally, I am assuming by the T King comment, that all incompletions last year were drops by him?

Dawg-Gawn………that is a real sretch, condemming Murray for his use of his OWN free time. They, as players, have so little time away from campus. Let the kids have their fun until the grind starts. You don’t have to bleed red & black to be a DGD.
