It’s UGA’s turn at SEC Media Days

HOOVER, Ala. – Good morning from the The Wynfrey hotel and Day 3 of SEC Football Media Days. Today, UGA gets its turn in the spotlight.

Media Days concludes with four teams, including Georgia, on stage. First up this morning: Alabama. Followed by Tennessee, Ole Miss and UGA.

Georgia, like all teams, will be represented by three players. Quarterback Aaron Murray will not be among them. UGA associate athletic director Claude Felton said Murray, who represented the Bulldogs at Media Days last year, was excused because of his attendance at back-to-back quarterback camps. He was an instructor at the Manning Passing Academy last weekend in Louisiana, and he then headed to the Elite 11 camp in southern California.

Georgia will be represented at Media Days by linebacker Jarvis Jones, defensive end Abry Jones and wide receiver Tavarres King.

Check back to ajc.com throughout the day for full coverage of the Bulldogs.

Will they talk about:
1. Off season arrests
2. Stopping real teams from lighting up their “defense.”
3. Their awesome out of conference schedule.
4. Trying to beat a Big 10 team
5. How not succumbing to evil oversigning has left them with like 60 scholarhship athletres.

Oh the suspense…

AM instructor at a passing camp? Looks like outside observers think a little more highly of AM than some of the lunatic fringe part of the fanbase. Congrats to AM for all the work he is putting in this offseason.

BTW, if Mark Richt was such an honorable man who always focused on doing the right thing, you will have a few players sitting out the Missouri game.

Too honorable to “oversign” or too lazy to recruit hard?

We’ll see just how honorable of a man he is soon.

Tide is rolling- You can read the UGA sports banner at the top of the page right? Are you really that pitiful to be hanging out in a UGA blog? Here’s a cookie, 2 aspirin, and don’t call me in the morning.

Surely there is a T-town blog where you can talk about trailers, the 17 people shot in a bar, and of course your mother.

The only thing more pathetic than a UGA fan is a Tech fan pretending to be a Tide fan.

if uga goes undefeated in the regular season but loses the sec championship game, do they still get one of the four playoff game spots?

@ Tide is, Will they ask Saban about the deal he cut with the UA administration and the Tuscaloosa PD, the one that insures that no Alabama football player will ever get arrested when they drink while under age, get caught driving and drinking, get caught smoking pot, get caught while assaulting their girl friend?

They won’t ask because they know that Alabama is locked down tighter than the KGB and it’s no use to ask because nobody’s going to talk about it. After all, nobody want’s death threats on their life.

Hey The Tide,

How about worrying about your own team. You guys have had a great run but you’ve lost almost your entire starting defense from last year and I know you probably wouldn’t admit it but Bama does have some big holes to fill.

Will Murray show off his new back tattoo?

You would think somebody, who is already in the spotlight plenty, would cease his attempts to further get in the spotlight with his endless “Twitpics” of him dressed as a girl, him with a beer, him with a girl in bed, him with his back tatt, etc, etc, etc.

I’m not even a Twitter customer, but all of this stuff winds up on Internet sports sites, and more times than not, embarrassing to UGA, and the other 90% of UGA players who have their minds on football.

Funny, I’ve never seen embarrassing Hutson Mason twitpics.

It is Dawg Day folks!!!! Sic’em…..I can tell ya one thing as far as about this tide fellar over here with nothing better to do. When we win the Natl Champ I c ould careless to spend my free time on some trailer trash Bama story spewing nonsense and hate. If I did..I think it would tell me that I wish I could be a fan of that team…Dawg envy running wild with some of these folk. This fellar sounds a little like a tech fan hiding behind another team he feels maybe worthy to stand up to Dawg fans….they are a pathetic little fanbase that way

hmmm we could talk about saban’s daughter…we could talk about poisioning trees, we could talk about shooting up a bar because the food stamps are late…we could talk about the tornado taking the trailer and done throwing it up there past granny’s pond, we could talk about the pacer not wanting to crank or how billy joe killed that 8 point buck the other night and how he figured out how to duct tape those antlers to the front of the ford…but we wont….we all understand why all the tree’s in georgia lean to the west… because alabama sucks and the best thing to ever come out of that state was I-20…. what do maggots and alabama fans have in comon. “they can both live off the same dead bear for a 100 years.” thanks god bless and Go DAWGS!….bless your heart!

Sin? Childish antics? What a dork.

Look, moron, I didn’t accuse Murray of sin, only his silliness of photographing and posting for the world to see, his every off field move.

I like Murray as a UGA QB, other than his turnover-for-TDs from last season. But unlike you apparently, that’s as far as it goes. You just keep on with your jock-sniffing. Enjoy . . .

Joey, Murray has gone on the record to say that he did not get that tatoo. I guess since you read it on the iternet it has to be true.

I haven’t seen that denial, CubanDawg, but since you say it, it has to be true . . .

http://www.yardbarker.com/college_football/articles/aaron_murray_just_got_this_back_tattoo/11220724

And once again, I don’t give a happy damn what our QB does, tatoos, taking a pictures of girls he’s in the sack with (unless she was my sister or niece, then me and friends would kick his ass), cross-dressing, whatever.

It’s all his business, til he posts it on the internet.

I just think he should be smarter than to bring that kind of attention to himself, then UGA. But you boys just go ahead and defend that kind of behavior.

I’m not a fan of suspending athletes for a few games because what you’ are doing is rewarding teams that don’t have to face them and punishing teams that will have to face them. If a player violate a ncaa rule then he or she should be permanent banned from attending any major university.

Mr Richt need to tell dawg nation, his players and the entire sec family that his goal is to win championships for the university of ga . I believe this will create positive vibes for his football team and the entire dawgnation and hopefully it will eliminate some of that negativity floating around the nation about he can’t win against teams with a winning record.

Joey, Aaron denied the back tattoo on Twitter:
“Remember that shot of what was supposed to be Aaron Murray with a new back tattoo? Well, it apparently isn’t true. The Georgia quarterback has gone on Twitter to deny that was his back. Just to clear the air @BleacherReport that is not me in the picture with that hideous tattoo Apologies go out to Murray for the error. (via Throw the Flag)”
It might be better for true Dawg fans to applaud him for graduating early & working on his Master’s degree, that makes UGA look pretty good in my book.

Like I wrote, I’m not a Twitter user, and that’s good to hear.

I am a “true Dawg fan,” and I hope he has a great season, and I applauded him for every one of those 35 TDs last season – and also for his studies. Hopefully the previous Twitter pic mess is now behind him.

I like Murray, like his toughness, and if he cleans up his turnovers, and his new O-line blocks for him, he may lead UGA to great things this season.

‘The Tide is rolling and nothing can stop them’

Clearly you are twelve. While the Alabama has had a great 4 years, it will not last. You will fall, just like Florida, Tennessee, Texas, USC, Michigan, Notre Dame… Shall I continue… You name is am embarrassment to your school and college football. When, not if, when Saban leaves you will one again be on radio shows year round complaining about loosing to Auburn and LSU. Won’t be long. Enjoy it while you have it. Maybe spend more time on your team and a little less focused on the Dawgs.

Richt is a longtime pathological liar. Believe absolutely nothing that he says, it’s all part of his delusional condition. He’s really a pathetic wretch and a gross embarrassment to this state.
