Georgia basketball player Donte’ Williams was arrested at Lenox Square Mall this past weekend for misdemeanor possession of marijuana, Atlanta police confirmed on Tuesday.

Williams, a 6-foot-9 starting forward and rising junior for the Bulldogs, was booked into Atlanta City Jail around 9 p.m. this past Friday night, Atlanta police officer Curtis Davenport said.
“I am aware of the situation,” Fox said from the SEC meetings in Destin, Fla., on Tuesday. “I will be gathering more information and will deal with it accordingly.”
According to a preliminary police report, Atlanta police officers had just pulled into the Zone Two police station in the mall parking lot when a black Dodge Charger with the personalized license plate of “DWILLS15″ drove by.
