So those of you who are pretty wired in via Twitter and Facebook have probably already seen the video of new Georgia tailback Keith Marshall racing rising sophomore wide receiver Malcolm Mitchell on Woodruff Practice Fields recently. If you missed it, I’m happy to provide it HERE.

Marshall
First, a little background. Apparently this was the third time these two young football stars raced in a 40-yard dash. The first time, Mitchell reportedly won and quarterback Aaron Murray didn’t get to see it and he complained about it. So they did it again the other day, with Murray shooting video and wide receiver Chris Conley providing color commentary.
Spoiler alert: Marshall, who supposedly came to Georgia with a 4.3-second 40-yard time (and similar GPA), wins the last two races by an eyelash. But I would suspect Bulldogs’ fans are more intrigued just by the fact Marshall was willing to compete against one of the teams’ established stars. Says a little something about his competitive nature, I’d say.
Mitchell, of course, emerged as one of the Bulldogs’ most explosive offensive threats as a true freshman this past season and finished as the Bulldogs’ second-leading receiver with 45 catches for 665 yards despite missing three games due to injury. Marshall is a 5-star prospect and the No. 1-rated running back in America, according to Scout.com. He enrolled early at UGA.
Anyway, just wanted to throw it out there for any of you folks who might have missed it. Besides, considering Mitchell’s problems with a hamstring injury last season, I suspect the coaches have seen this and already shut down the race track. I’m just guessing but, as Apollo Creed said in the first Rocky, “ain’t gonna be no rematch.”

Looks like Marshall isn’t going to back off of a challenge for sure. He will fit right in and contribute with these young stars on the UGA defense. Imagine getting loose on the football field with that kind of speed. Can you see future all American here. This young man will be a good competitor and sadly, might have to be a model for I. Crowell to emulate. I think with the RB’s UGA has this year, UGA can be a very solid running team. We do need to have our OL improve this year, but I think they will.

I guess he will have to break some tackles to use that speed as Bobo likes to run the fast guys up the middle for some reason. Please, please, please try and get this kid into some space with toss sweeps, screens and if you have to run up the middle, then do it on a draw!

LT: John Theus
LG: Chester Brown

RG: Kenarious Gates

I know, I know this line is young and will take a whipping on some Saturdays but as they continue to grow, by their junior seasons we’ll have them dominant. What we need is more depth on OL and DL as well. Michigan St. totally dominated us with their DL. The OL could not open any running lanes either because of it. As for our DL, they are pretty good but if they are forced to play too much of the game, due to so many three and outs, they are gassed after three quarters. The new kid (Marshall) also has some smarts w/4.3 GPA. Wonder what he’s majoring in?
IC came in w/all the same hype as did King and Ealey so will wait until they prove it on the field before jumping on any band wagon. What concerns most of us is these kids do not have a proven OL to open holes nor a OC and game plan that best utilizes their skills. If the dawgs ever needed a new years resolution its a new game plan to replace the existing up the middle 3 and out. Its too predictable and apparently CMR and Bobo are not willing to change it. Good coaches would come up w/a system that best suits their player talent and abilities. Clearly, if anything was apparent this past season it was the dawgs could not run the ball up the middle. Until they can, try something else, please.

There are great fans across the board at all schools and I respect them for supporting their teams but unfortunately I still see their are some delusional others with no or very little true knowledge about football.
No matter how well Georgia does or who ever the haters hate they will always be haters and are probably the same at home or in their business lives if they actually work. Actually, Mason said that he loves UGA, and did not want to leave, but he wants to play. He said that if he transfered, it would be to a Div 1 school, and that, by rule, he would have to sit a year. So, he decided to take a redshirt, and sit a year here. Plus, if Murray were to get hurt, the redshirt could be taken off, and he would have the opportunity to play this year.

I pulled a hammy just reading the article. Dang fast dudes we have on the team. I agree with SteveDFWdog though, what the hell good does it do us if we keep running them up the middle and off tackle. MSU’s DL was one of the best anybody could of faced last year. Too bad Bobo didn’t have a better answer for them or we would have had a first down or two with that 3-1/2 minutes to go. Or we might have even gotten a first down in OT when we needed it to win the game.

I don’t think Crowell had enough time for his ankle to heal and he kept trying to go, when he should have been kept on the side lines. When you have a 325 pound man roll over on your ankle, it take more than a week, before you can get back up to speed. Crowell will be just fine if he matures a little more and becomes more of a team player. He has all of the skills you could want and with three running backs like we have, he can share duties with the others and not have to take on responsibility all by himself to make plays in the backfield.

No doubt Isaiah Crowell will shine bright next season. The guy ran the ball as a true freshman in the toughest conference in the land and finished with over 800 yards. He was held out a game for conduct and missed various portions of other games with injuries. Again, he competed in the best conference in the land and racked up over 800 yards right out of high school. Run Isaiah run and run the Dogs to a NC.
Barring injury
January 17th, 2012

Lemay will get quality PT barring early season injury to himself. Murray will be hard pressed to play 100% of the games, as the younger men will look to see what type of qualities both will exhibit while under center in practice and then respond in games.
Lemay is a can do it all QB with outside speed and a great arm and frankly, very similar to DJ Shockley who should have played far more than he did while an inderclassman.
Murray is not more than 52% popular with UGA’s fans and this 2012 year, his bone headed throws and fumbles for quick 6 pics and his horrible decsions while under pass rush pressure will cause major rumblings with the alumni. We are sick of his emotional chokes and game day pics.
Time will tell.

I am going to assume you are old like I am, but even you should be able to realize that in all likelihood, Crowell wasn’t mentally or physically to play with the load put on him last year. You are condemning the kid before he is even a sophomore. I think the kid will come around this year and be a valuable asset. If he isn’t you can always come onto a blog and tell me, you said so. Until then, I think the kid deserves a chance at redemption.

I hear you, and you’re right….I’m one of the oldsters! I ain’t condemning him, but he made it a point to show ALL the bad-character issues at once….he quit long before the ankle! Many of his yards were against not-good teams, and he patted his head faster than Marshall’s and Mitchell’s feet hit the ground in their race. I actually wish him well, but its hard to see him out-doing this year because I don’t think the foundation is there……..I may be wrong, but when you and I were there, yes folks made mistakes but a smart-*ss quitter would have BEEN gone, whether the potential was there or not!

What’s funny is that everyone is trying to question Crowell’s heart and ability. Adrian Peterson could not have run for 1000 yards behind that o-line and with that play calling. CMR is probably the 6th best coach in the sec. What did UGA do in every big game this year. They folded. It wasn’t just on this RB it was on the coaches and the Qb, who also padded his stats against weak competition. IC was hurt and tried to play through it. I guess he wasn’t tough enough for some uga fans, who probably get hurt playing couch football. How many games would uga have won without IC.

So predictable guys… National Championships, SEC champions, SEC East champions. LMAO! Until we get a coaching staff to coach these super-star recruits (take a look at all the UGA non-championship players playing on Sunday) it’ll be more of the same bs. The average UGA fan will delight in a 10-4 season with victories over teams with losing records and losses to the only teams we play who finish with winning records! Look it up guys!
I am a UGA gad and a proud Dawg but I am sick of mediocrity. For example, the only was we beat a sub-par Gator team in ‘11 was Brantley played on 1 1/2 legs. I was there and watched as he nearly pulled it off. And our QB had no health issues. Please keep on blogging… I love to laugh!
I can't believe Aaron Murray BLEW THAT GAME to go to 0-9 vs teams ending top 25. 3 sacks, fumble, 2 interceptions, 9 rushes minus 14 yards, 1 reception blocked pass minus 3 yards - all with 16 point lead.

“One would think they could beat a ranked team with all that talent.”
______________________________________________________
No. Not in years and years. To beat a ranked team, we need a quarterback who will get snaps in the NFL, not the 1 we have who in 27 games :
-56 sacks
-22 interceptions
-21 fumbles
-7 carries a game at 1 yard per carry
-41 percent of his starts, lost
-tweets to opponents pre-game how going to beat them
-puts name to NFL Advisory Committee
-is puny
-cannot read defenses yet 4th year here
-poor in going through progressions
-cannot see over line
-holds ball too long
-tries to do too much himself
-poor leadership on and off field
-happy feet
-poor footwork
-stares down receivers
-throws behind receivers
-over-throws receivers
-doesn’t want throw incomplete, takes sack
-bad enough completion percentage now
-almost Tim Tebow completion percentage
-11 losses 27 starts
-0 and 9 vs teams finishing top 25
-lost 2 more who didn’t finish top 25
-lost 9 games in 2 seasons so far
-has 9 Seniors Starting on Defense 2012
-can rely on them
-Brandon Boykin told him relying on D to bail him out
-Mark Richt settles for field goals
-best player on USCe team this season
-Reggie Ball ? USCe has Aaron Murray
-best player on Michigan State team
-caught blocked pass minus 3 yards
-3 sacks
-fumble that started the loss ahead 16-0
-2 interceptions
-did all that in just last game & didn’t get yanked

Bigger Game,
Dude, you need to slow your role with that dynasty talk. Georgia hasn’t won a dang thing yet, and it’s the delusional ones like yourself that keep talking this crap and giving the entire fan base a bad name with these titles you throw out there. USC is the only team in recent memory that ALMOST holds a dynasty tag, but then yet, they cheated by paying athletes. Georgia has a LONG ways to go before even mentioning talk, so let’s start with an SEC title, and try to get that National Championship that we haven’t been able to win in many years. We have a great opportunity and great athletes, but calm down on the Herschel comparisons and claiming the National Title every pre-season. In the meantime, Go Dawgs!

Everything I read is about our player’s being encouraged to compete with each other. I have always felt competition will make everybody better. With Gurley and Marshall on campus Crowell will get serious about going to Strength and conditioning everyday because Marshall will be there this spring and Gurley will be there everyday when he arrives in the summer.
The offensive line will be the same, to see who play’s but the only position that I want completely opened up for competition is QUARTERBACK. Now before you Murray fan have an issue with that I’m not saying I don’t want Murray as our leader but in 2 year’s he has always choked in the big games and HIS mistakes lost about half of those game’s. With competition it will make Murray a lot better. Example is when he takes off and run’s and need’s 9 yard’s for a first down but it is obvious he only can get 6 yard’s , Is it better to slide and get the 6 yard’s or get hit real hard, probably fumbling the ball and try to get the last three yard’s. A TRUE LEADER WOULD SLIDE IN WITH 6 YARD’S AND KICK ON FOURTH DOWN AND LET THE DEFENSE TAKE OVER.

KerryB, it’s the fanatics like you that look so bad. No we don’t choose who we play but don’t go thinking the the Dawgs had a good team. We didn’t beat anyone with a winning record! It’s that simple. If we were a good team…. well ask the LSU players. Year after year people here attack the likes of the Boise States, the Cala, the Fresno States with “Who did they play? What’s the strength of schedule”! Well it goes both ways. When we are winning against teams like Alabama, LSU, Arkansas and…. SC with any consistancy THEN lets talk “elite” and “UGA” in the same sentence.

I’m counting on Lemay getting playing time in 2012.
The thing with Murray is a double edged sword.
He blew the SC game with mistakes
He started the implosion versus LSU
He started the implosion versus MSU
He did lead us to the comeback versus florida which despite their mediocre record, is still a mental hurdle that he helped overcome.
The only way he gets rid of this label is to beat a really good team. But if he is not capable of doing so, do you play Lemay just because you think Murray will lose it again?
My solution is to platoon them.
Bama won the BCS title game by breaking tendencies. They threw and threw and threw to set up the run.
Miles should have done the same thing. Instead he ran the freaking option.
Richt needs to play these 2 QB’s equal reps early on to determine which of them is more clutch.

I agree that IC will only benefit with Gurley and Marshall to push him and I think it’s obvious the majority of posters who hate on Crowell are not Georgia fans but like to pretend they are.
I too get frustrsted when AM takes off running and won’t slide or throw the ball away, but I think it’s more desire to help the time mixed with youth than anything else. That being said I would like to see LeMay Get some actual playing time instead of just mop up duty. I know that goes against the model most programs use but I still would like to see it.

I transfered to a school and was never giving a shot at playing quarterback, they automatically put me at safety. New kid, no one knew me. Came back the next year, competed against the same guy, won the starting position. All I’m saying is give in a fair shot, let Mason and LeMay compete and if they look good and you’re on the bubble give them playing time.

Agree your OL lineup would help in 2-3 years, but UGA isn’t going to do that. They have a very talented and experienced defense returning, A QB who, while he still needs to get better is certainly in the argument for the best in the SEC for next year (partially because the conference QB’s are way down from the normal talent level), and some very good receivers along with POTENIALLY some very good running backs. They have too much returning and the weakest schedule they are going to have for the forseeable future (on paper), so they can’t afford to sacrafice this year and play ONLY young O linemen.
I predict (but I have NO inside info):
Burnette starts at Center and D. Andrews backs him up and plays in almost every game.
Gates at left Tackle getting most of the snaps with Dantzler backing him up
Theus and Long split time at Right Tackle
Lee and Houston start at the Guard spots with Beard backing them up and Burnette sliding over to provide additional depth at Guard when needed.
Think the rest will be working to get better, bigger, stronger, faster fo the future unless there are lots of injuries.

No problem. I thought that was pretty weird for you to say with our young stars on Defense when what we have is a 1-year window for 9 Seniors Starting on Defense this season. Then, again I have seen a lot of seriously weird stuff posted on this blog, such as (1) legalize drugs with the $10 b a year govt would get could pay off our total national debt in 5,700 years then IC wouldn’t get arrested for it (2) the Sugar Bowl at the Ga Dome we went to and before we even could sit down booing still Michael F. Adam$ and wife from pre-game, losing 0-28, never happened. (3) Addition by ATTRITION with then 26 good riddance giving their scholarships to walk-ons who never have played offense or defense, yet, while we have nothing in the tank in the 4th quarters getting run out of town on a rail with no depth (4) Brandon Boykin is going to go pro this year because well the money is too much to expect him to come back, being a senior already as he obviously has been all season (5) if you criticize our team, you are obviously a Georgia tek fan, then in same post, same person says our Offense makes too many mistakes and has not stepped it up, our running backs are doing their job, we have to quit calling a conservative gameplan, our offense is inconsistent, we don’t bury our opponents when we get ahead.
- So, therefore no sir. I had no idea you meant

Marshall will not beat Mitchell for very long because after going through Strength and Conditioning he will gain up to 210 where he should be. It won’t slow him down much but 20 pound’s will not allow him to compete with Mitchell in a foot race. Gurley will gain up to 225 .
To have a balanced offense Georgia really needed some depth at running back and they got it. I think Marshall , Crowell and Malcome will share equally the tailback job for the first few game’s.. After a few game’s I hope Gurley is allowed to be one of the main Tailback’s. If nobody get’s hurt , which is unlikely, after Gurley learn’s the play book we will see that the three tailback’s will be Marshall for speed and finesse and Gurley will be for speed and tough inside running and either Malcome or Crowell will be the third back. Georgia is really looking good at tailback for 2012.

7576Dawg, I think the RB competition will be wide open next year. Considering the results this year. I sit there and watch the highlights every Saturday of the other teams who have these amazing RB’s that will actually break a touchdown run out, 50, 60, 70+ yards that changes games. Then I watch out backs run into the backs of the tackle or guards and fall forawrd a few feet. I don’t know the acutal stats of breakout runs but I don’t think we had a lot did we? How many TD runs of over 20 yards did we have from scrimmage? I can think of Boykins against Boise but other than that?
If we can get the new speed to the outside lookout. IMO I though Thomas would have been perfect to turn the corners to the open field but what do I know?

(1) Isn’t this where you all tell me to quit talking about the past 4 Losses Last Year ?
(2) Can’t I at least be positive about the next season (or substitute next game) like something has changed other than we played the single easiest schedule of all SEC teams 2011 and now 2012 have an even Easier schedule, yet ?
(3) Let’s get on to the 13-1 prediction with us handed our hats in The SEC Championship Game (again) not playing another team or maybe 1 who end up in the top 25.
(4) Or, that I said something other than ended up top 25, which we have lost 9 consecutive games and counting against. (Nice job Aaron Murray.)
(5) Or, that I said something other than ended up top 10, which we have lost 7 consecutive games and counting against.
This football team with Keith Marshall Captain and leader on offense and leader off-the-field will go 13-1 this season. We play at most 1 team who ends up top 25 all regular season. We have for my season tickets 7 sorry home games, not 1 good game in the whole season. Mizzou lost all their players. They return a running qb who cannot throw. They have no pass defense and no special teams. We get our hats handed to us in The SEC Championship Game (again) and our losses 11 to-date of the 27 Aaron Murray starts, and all games where the other QB on the other team was clearly and undeniably better that day than Aaron Murray.

It doesn’t make a damn bit of difference how many 4 & 5 star players UGA has, they are still going to be coached by Richt and his adopted boy Bobo. Hey, McGarity how about a 5 year extension. Why just give 2 or 3? No confidence in Richt?

The Will Mushamp thing is working fine at FL oh after one year you are making that statement. State? Would you feel better if Richt had scored on the last drive vs Fla. to Make it 31-20 instead of 24-20.? Weis was told to leave bud he wasnt going to be there this year, and who fired Weis after showing he couldnt coach, wasnt it little Willie Muschamp

What is it about all these “Richt”-lovers who look thru their “Richt”-colored glasses where they consistently lower their standards because he’s a “good” man. He’s not a “good” man, he’s a “great” man, and a great humanitarian…and I applaud his amazing work outside of football.
But what does that have to do with the price of tea in China???…..or in this case, his ability to coach this great football program to a national title???
Do we lower our standards of winning championships cuz he’s such a “good” man????

Can anyone say Wheel Route to Marshall at least three times a game, Screen Pass to Marshall twice a game, Student Body left and right twice each. Those plays alone should be at least a few scores a game. Malcolm Mitchell flying down the field for deep passes. Go Dawgs, Welcome to our TE position Mr. Rome. GATA. NO. 1 Defense in the nation. Stuff any team that tries to run on us. Sack and Blitz them when they pass. DB’s set interception record or UGA.

perennially top 3-4 in most number of D1 football scholarship athletes in their state
state of the art facilities
awesome school and campus
active alumni and support
all this and we’re always on the outside looking in while our rivals like LSU, Bama, Florida, and even Auburn have Crystal Footballs in their respective trophy cases……sigh!!!

The way I see this is that Keith Marshall enrolled in classes. Instantly, off the field for running backs, what we have is that instead of a dope ring of running backs, we have a guy who thinks fun is Football with our Very Best Football Players. He gets them all out and he lines up and in fact Takes our Best. Then, our best does what he does, which is to turn on his after-burners and beats him the next 2 times. I am sorry but this just isn’t what has happened here for the last 12 years now. Year 12, one guy shows up, and no loading everyone in a truck to drive around Athens for the sole purpose of getting drunk. No tweeting our opponents pre-game how our Starting QB is heading to the Dome to kick him some backside of Boise State. No beer keg photos in the infield at Talladega. No beating up of cars in parking lots. No borrowing someone else’s car, hitting cars in a parking lot and running from the scene with multiple UGA employees telling our Football Player to stay that he hit parked cars. No beating up of young lady students in good standing by picking her up and slamming her to the floor repeatedly to the McWhorter Hall floor. No more bragging in the off-season of how being named Freshman of the Year isn’t what he cares about at all, but yeah, it is a nice Award for Me. No more hey I want # 1; and don’t care if a guy who is a Senior now next season who does everything for the team on Defense, Special Teams and Offense already has # 1 and has long-since Earned The Right to Keep # 1 without having to saddle the already taxed and burdened coaching staff with figuring out what plays and players they want to run, but also figuring out well let’s see is some PrimaDonna demanding that he had to be the same number one of our Very Best Players if not the Very Best Player for 2012 season already has. No driving to Valdosta on the first opportunity when there is no Spring Practice that day to get drunk and the total inability to come clean what he did like the sorority gal isn’t going to have all her friends say this masher did what ? No wasting time outside of practice, when not studying, trying to figure out just what the players can do to embarrass the entire program, school, and everyone huge fans of this team.
Leader.
Team Captain.
Leader off-the-field before he steps into his role the next 3 years of 4,000 yards on-the-field, having good clean fun all the others and all of us can really take great joy from their sharing their activities today.

Keith Marshall is Our Team Captain Off-The-Field, just the New York Nanosecond he shows up on our Campus.
I have no questions about this man.
None.
I am not biased. I am not hoping for some pipe-dream. I am telling you straight up what we got when Bryan McClendon and Mark Richt brought this man to us all to enjoy the next 3 years. All I can say to them, is thank you. We have many other great guys in this football program, but they have been over-shadowed by those who want the spotlight on them for all the wrong concepts of what is fun at UGA when not in class and not practicing. He is a 1st Round NFL prospect. Whomever gets Keith Marshall, will be as Fortunate as we all are today. No I want to transfer to get attention, or I want to put my name into the NFL Advisory Committee to see what they have to say when they all everyone have long-since made the statement that if the game is on the line and you need a drive to win, no one has ever said he is the guy you want leading your offense down the field. I know absolutely that Keith Marshall will take charge in the huddle and direct the team, something we haven’t had here the last 2 years of 0-9 vs the 9 teams who ended up in the top 25, and I will add as well something that we haven’t had around here over the last 7 years of 0-7 vs the 7 teams who ended up in the AP Poll Top 10 with our last win over such a team 7 seasons ago when we last beat a team finishing in the Top 10 # 9 Auburn 2006. Someone want to explain to me how 4 Seniors now leaving all starters on the OL, 3 of whom go on to the NFL now, are somehow responsible for Aaron Murray’s 56 sacks, 21 fumbles, 22 interceptions in 27 games, losing 11 for 41 percent of his games started, lost ?
Thank you Keith Marshall, sir.

11:17 am “but would you let another guy take your girl on a date?”
_____________________________________________________
“Your” gal ? You don’t own the gal. If you wanted the job, you should have taken the job. It was and is there for the taking. You have to give her space for her to decide. It is her choice, no matter what you think that you should have the job. When given the opportunity, you have to step up to the plate and present yourself in such a fashion that “your” gal wants you. Being hurt about AM starting (and playing every second of every game every snap and losing all these big games by HIMSELF) is not the way to ever be in a position to be perceived as the guy she wants. Take the job. Take the job now, today. Put in the extra effort. Maybe what the issue is, is that the job really belongs to Christian LeMay anyway. Our gal. Who wants the job ? Find out what is needed, instead of sitting there whining about what you think you know is what is needed. Doesn’t matter what is what you think. What matters is what Mark Richt says. You’ve got to break him down. If it is experience, then you have to do what Coach Donald Shockley did to Mark Richt in April 2001. When Mark Richt told DJ Shockley that he would be Redshirted, and he told his Dad; his Dad took up for the kid. His Dad came to campus face-to-face. His Dad extracted the promise. It was that, or his Dad was never going to shut-up to his Son, never in life, that he had to transfer. There are those who feel that DJ Shockley was the better QB than David Greene, with the better arm, equal accuracy, equal leadership, and would have won some of the games David Greene lost. And, DJ Shockley did all he could do in 1 year equaling what David Greene did 1 year out of 4 years with David Greene’s SEC Championship in 2002 when The SEC was Way Down with but 1 other SEC team finishing in the Coaches’ Poll Top 25, a 4-loss Auburn. The SEC was certainly not done in 2005 – indeed, The SEC has not been Down after the 2002 season, which is why we are in fact about the # 5 team in The SEC. There is no question that Auburn has done more in the Mark Richt era. Nor any questions that Alabama, and LSU have too. And, you can’t say we’ve done more than Florida. South Carolina doesn’t measure up, although they played a tougher schedule than we did and ended up far better than we 2011, and go for their 3rd consecutive win over us in this FUNK we’ve been in since DJ Shockley graduated with honors after the 2005 season. And, Arkansas all you HATERS can jump on here and say how we would’ve beat Arkansas but they ended up top 5 in the nation and have it going on, in case you haven’t noticed. We either step up and stop this with Keith Marshall, or about # 5 is going to see us slip 2 more places, too.
This for the # 11 all-time college football 1-A FBS football program.
How I read Hutson Mason is that all he wants is the opportunity to play some. He is not asking to be the Starter. Just get out there with our ballhog QB a little. There is no question that Hutson Mason could not do WORSE than 0-9 vs the 9 teams finishing in the top 25.
I can't believe Aaron Murray BLEW THAT GAME to go to 0-9 vs teams ending top 25. 4 sacks, fumble, 2 interceptions, 9 rushes minus 14 yards, 1 reception blocked pass minus 3 yards - all with 16 point lead.

“@a person smart enough, to put it in your words, looks like Murray already has the girl.”
______________________________________________________
No, Mark Richt already has His Girl. And, Mike Bobo has no say in it. Never has. Never will. Mark Richt has been quite clear that he has His Gal. As for none of us can predict the future. Well, some of us have done a far better job of it, haven’t we, gentlemen ? Mark Richt, post-Spring Practice will choose Aaron Murray and no one else. He hasn’t even said that it is open for discussion. His 1st comments after the minus 3 yard catch of his own pass batted down at the line (again), the 4 sacks to give him now 56, the fumble ahead 16-0 that Chip Towers, Jeff Schultz and Mark Bradley all 3 correctly identified as the Turning Point that clearly right then right there changed the game, as even the TV announcers stated at the very moment that was exactly what Michigan State needed to get a chink in our armor as a glimmer of hope to give him now 21 Fumbles, the two (2) interceptions to give him now 22, the 9 rushes for minus 14 yards to give him now an average of 7 rushes for an average of 1 yard per rush every single 1 of his 27 games – All Led to Him Losing His Ninth (9th) game in as many tries to the same number of 9 teams who finished in the AP Poll Top 25 his entire lousy stinking career (not counting his 2 losses to teams who did not end up top 25) :
Mark Richt has said all of 2012 after the latest poor performance by Aaron Murray, that Aaron Murray is doing fine. Mark Richt has had Aaron Murray as his Favorite, and as Mark Richt demonstrated with Caleb King and Isaiah Crowell, he has these players’ backs. He always has had. He always will. We have 2 more years of Aaron Murray, and then Mark Richt can decide who is next in line. Right now, he isn’t open to any second-guessing on Aaron Murray, at all, whatsoever, in no way, shape or fashion. If you don’t know Mark Richt by now, it is not our fault that you cannot read people. I read Mark Richt like a book. If anyone gets any snaps 2012 other than AM, it will be late, real late with a 4-touchdown lead; or not at all. If it had been up to Mark Richt, DJ Shockley would never have been platooned with David Greene. Never. This wasn’t his decision. Mark Richt has maintained his triteness about platooning the Winingest QB in NCAA history at that point, now owned by Kellen Moore, who will never take a snap in the NFL either – like Aaron Murray won’t ever.

Correct. 3 Tailbacks. 100 percent accurate. If Isaiah Crowell doesn’t know we have three go-to guys, that’s his problem. We’re passed it. And, IC has never been there for us, yet. In the 4 losses, what did he do ? Nada.

“The only way Aaron Murray gets rid of this label is to beat a really good team. But if he is not capable of doing so, do you play Lemay just because you think Murray will lose it again?”
____________________________________________________________
Well, at 0-9 vs teams finishing in the top 25 and 2 more losses to teams who did not finish in the top 25, we could not possibly do any worse putting ANYONE else in. It has to start in the 1st of 7 home “games” against the Buffalo Bills (good heavens.) Start Aaron Murray. Play him 1 series. Yank him. Put Christian LeMay in for series 2. Put Aaron Murray in for series 3, and go from there. So, yes, I agree with you 100 percent right down the line platoon them from the get-go, sir, DawginLex.

13-1,
Do you honestly think that anybody values your opinion but yourself. You write this long wasted blog and all you do is refute every bodies statement on here and think that for some reason somebody want to read them. Give it a break man.
Everybody has an opinion, and it most cases they express them a lot more intelligently than you, since you feed off of refuting every statement made by another fan of UGA. Your opinion doesn’t change anybodies mind, in case you have not figured it out. Everybody on these blogs is entitled to their opinion and does not need your rebuttal or negative opinion to supposedly rebut what they say. They don’t want it. The only ones that want it are this publication called the AJC, because they can then show readership, in some way or another.
I could care less what you think about the DAWGS because I don’t know you and don’t wish to know you, much less read your rebuttal of anything I or other DAWG fans post on here. I am a true fan that thinks the DAWGS will take the next step this year, and I don’t want to read your statements regarding what I post, because your opinion holds no meaning to me. Why don’t you take a survey and see how many people really read your nonsense. Personally, I express my opinion and could care less whether anybody agrees with me or not. You though, seem to think your statements, refuting everything anybody says, actually means something. You are in a very small minority of one, in that case.

Slow news day, what do you expect. This paper is published in Atlanta, I.E. Georgia tech, falcons Hawks, and Braves. UGA is just a side note really. UGA gets more press, because it is practically the only team in the state to get excited about besides Georgia Southern.
We UGA fans are interested in anything concerning our DAWGS. As you can see by the nine pages of blogs, mostly negative ones, a lot of people are interested and concerned about UGA being in the news. UGA negative commentators far exceed positive ones. Gives some of them, something to do while eating their coco puffs before taking their flintstone vitamins.

You have the UGA skill players all gathered together and Crowell isn’t there. I read into this a little more. These are young men and most young football players travel in clicks with the guys they like to hang around. If I’m Crowell, i’m concerned that I’m losing my teammates. Even worse, they true freshman tailback is already making headway into the click. Next is making headway into playing time.

Nobody can be referred to as a “non-fan” or whatever because they are sick of I.C.’s crap. Maybe he will redeem himself. If he did not have such a crappy attitude, folks would be more sympathetic. However, when he continuously shows ALL the elements of bad character, then yeah, folks will pile on. When he jumps up after a gain on a little practice team and acts like he won the super-bowl, then folks will pile on. When he pats his head like Ringo on a drum set after a little hit, then folks will pile on. When he gets suspended so often one loses count, then folks will pile on. The folks who say that those who question I.C.’s modus-operendi are not Dog fans can get a life. Some TRUE fans know that some of this behavior is unacceptable. Not the mistakes all kids make, but the continuation of all the bad traits! Maybe if ALL the bad traits had not showed themselves, there would be more patience.

Flat Tire: No, I deleted your post because it was untrue, just like this last one is untrue. Auburn and Florida were ranked when Georgia beat them this year and the Bulldogs beat No. 7 Georgia Tech and No. 18 Michigan State in 2009. That’s how the official records are kept, not what a team was ranked at the end of the year but what their ranking was at the time of the contest. Granted, Georgia’s record against ranked teams the last three years is poor (3-10), but that’s different than being winless. And I don’t know with what team your allegiance lies but you come in here every day with an agenda to insult and agitate Georgia fans and I get constant complaints about it. If you just want to yell “Georgia stinks” every day, then go to the vent and shout it to the heavens.
