ATHENS – UGA officials confirmed Saturday night what Jordan Love hinted about via Twitter. The redshirt sophomore cornerback is leaving Georgia and will seek to continue his football career elsewhere.

Love
Love sent this message out via Twitter Saturday evening: “It’s been real Athens. . . . All good things come to an end.”
Georgia spokesman Claude Felton later confirmed Love’s departure to reporters covering the Bulldogs’ basketball game against Alabama Saturday night.
Love could not be reached for comment. But he did talk to Gentry Estes of Dawgs247.com, saying: “I don’t want to say anything about it right now. When I get everything together I’ll let y’all know.”
Love played sparingly as a backup cornerback for the Bulldogs his two seasons in Athens. This past season he recorded 12 tackles while appearing in 8 games, with most of his work coming on special teams. As a freshman, he played in all 13 games and finished with 9 tackles.
Georgia lost cornerback Brandon Boykin out of its starting secondary from last season. The rest of the unit returns intact and the Bulldogs have several rising sophomores who are expected to compete for playing time, including Nick Marshall, Damian Swann and Chris Sanders.

some of you guys have no freaking clue what you are talking about. You said murray played better in the new mexico state game cause he knew Hutson would play so that made him play bette. So in other games he just says f-it mason aint playing who cares. Some of yall believe every rumor you here and do not realize every team will have someone transfer. Bama with all the talent they are stockpiling will start having this problem. They had guys leave last yr. Really if a guy transfers it usually has nothing to do with the coaching unless the person transfering is a starter. If the person is way down on the depth chart do you think he is leaving cause of the coach or the fact that he realizes he will never see the field and he feels like he could play elsewhere. Some of you people get on here trying to stir the pot and create rumors but you just sound like you probably where a bench riders yourself.

YES HE HAS A MIDDLE NAME.
At 15 minutes before midnight July 5, not last year, the year before – almost July 6 Jordan LAWRENCE Love was shooting off fireworks in a state where fireworks are illegal. 2 days AFTER July 4th.
There was some flack out of Virginia where Jordan LAWRENCE Love is from, from his mama who said that his Daddy’s name is LAWRENCE who names his son’s middle name after him at birth and that SHE didn’t use the name.
But, that isn’t all there was to it.
6′ 0″ tall 185 lbs he was a 4-Star recruit who had played cornerback and running back with 4.48 speed and the # 21 cornerback recruit nationally. He also returned punts and kick-offs.
He is now 21 years old, and a year and a half ago :
(1) He could not or would not provide the Police with LAWRENCE as his middle name.
(2) He told the police that he wasn’t sure what his middle name is
(3) He said he might take a shot at guessing it
(4) But, that he wasn’t sure that he could actually remember it
(5) LAWRENCE
(6) About as easy a name as there is.
Then, the police asked him his date of birth.
(7) He could not tell them that either.
What he could provide to the police was :
(8) A cigarette lighter in his pocket outside McWhorter Hall in the Courtyard there.
(9) Fireworks in his pockets
Jordan LAWRENCE Love, 19 years old at the time, was the only person with any fireworks or cigarette lighters on their person at the time of the complaint from the residents.
You might remember this year, and this again you might not. This was a minor incident, which was marked really only by the fact that a 19-year old top recruit nationally for UGA :
- could not or would not provide police his middle name
- could not provide his date of birth even either

LSU and South Caro coaches are fair, if QB’s don’t eprform, they’re benched, guys respect that. Richt doesn’t allow competition on the field in real games. That’s why UGA gets so many transfers at QB, Mettenberger, Gray, now Mason/Lemay possibly too.

I agree that our coaching staff has some issues even the defensive coordinator but all of you that want Mark fired who can replace him that you know without a doubt will come in here and do better. You better be careful what you wish for just asked the people on Rocky Top. Will Muschamp down in Florida does not look great to me and how do you know Kirby would come here and do great. Unless we got Boise or TCU or another head coach with alot of success you never know what you are getting with these coordinators .

AARON MURRAY we are STUCK WITH AS OUR STARTER ANOTHER 2 MORE YEARS, although if he were ANY GOOD AT ALL, he would be going to the NFL right now today, just like ALL THE REALLY GOOD QUARTERBACKS recruited at the same time he was – which was by the way December 2008 when he 1st practiced with this football team. Aaron Murray has started his 4th year now being on our campus practicing with our team. He still is NOT AN ATHLETE and he STILL DOESN’T LIFT ANY WEIGHTS. He is PUNY.
I like the way Les Miles does it too. Even better than the way Steve Spurrier does it. I actually like the way Chris Petersen does it better than BOTH Miles and Spurrier.
SOS will take a Quarterback after he FUMBLES the ball to give the MOMENTUM to Michigan State after a season full of fumbles, sacks and interceptions that LOST EVERY GAME WE LOST THIS ENTIRE SEASON and after HE HAS LOST 41 PERCENT OF HIS STARTS DOING EXACTLY THE SAME, and Steve O. Spurrier will then YANK HIM right that second and send out Hutson Mason on the next series. He will yank Hutson Mason as soon as he does something equally horrendous.
Les Miles will say his Starter is clearly undeniably Jarrett Lee, after Jordan Jefferson returns to the team after the kicking in the face brawl suspension. Then, he will find an opportunity to put in Jordan Jefferson and play him some. Then, when Jarrett Lee isn’t performing, BEFORE THE GAME IS LOST, he will leave Jordan Jefferson on the field to be the ON FIELD, FIELD GENERAL. Even then, Jarrett Lee will get MEANINGFUL SNAPS.
Note please that so too, will Les Miles, while ALL THIS IS GOING ON, he will STILL ALSO PLAY Zach Mettenberger. Zach Mettenberger got MORE CHANCES TO PLAY THIS SEASON THAN HUTSON MASON AND AGAINST FAR BETTER COMPETITION THAN HUTSON MASON SAW WITH A CHANCE TO ACTUALLY HAVE A REAL OPPORTUNITY HERE.
Then, there is Chris Petersen. Watched him face-to-face. He didn’t YANK his QB. Kellen Moore played the whole entire game. All during the game, including right off the bat, he sent in his back-up Quarterback he is GROOMING. He had a complete ENTIRE PACKAGE for the back-up. Sent them in and everyone knew exactly what they were doing. Very scripted. Excellent. And, they screwed us up with it too. Later on, he did it again and again successful. Kellen Moore would come right back in. Never missed a beat.
Jarrett Lee didn’t miss a beat when Jordan Jefferson was playing. Jordan Jefferson didn’t miss a beat when Jarrett Lee was playing. Neither Jordan Jefferson nor Jarrett Lee either one missed a beat when Zach Mettenberger played.
When did our Offensive Geniuses do ANY of this all 12 years now of this failed # 52 NCAA Offense all 11 years to-date and surely more of the same 2012, other than when Coach Donald Shockley MADE MARK RICHT PROMISE TO HIM, NOT DJ, THAT MARK RICHT WOULD PLAY DJ SHOCKLEY EVERY GAME, EARLY IN EVERY GAME, IF HE – NOT DJ – ACCEPTED THE REDSHIRT 2001 ?

Murray, in my opinion is hot and cold on the hot passes…he has the arm, and has thrown the ball well in those situations many times..Its about timing, protection, WR’s getting off the blocks and running the correct patterns…Do I think he could improve…Yes..Is his arm as strong as Stafford’s..No, but the complaint we heard about Stafford was that he either threw it too hard or overthrew his receivers alot of times..I think Murray is accurate and can make all the throws when given the time to do so…Of course you might say that about any QB…I think one of the points I am trying to make is that the 2nd String or backup QB is usually the most popular guy on the team…At least from the fans perspective….go dawgs

Glancer, QBs may also appreciate the fact that when they do get their shot at starting, their head coach has a history of sticking with a QB if he has a bad stretch ratjer than pulling him like a happy trigger finger. Personally, I think he should gave been benched a couple times. Most of AM mistakes came late in games. So u have to think ,… benching him and bringing in a backup to run a two minute offense is hard decision to make.

Mason knows the offense as well, if not better than Murrary. I see them in practices. Lemay is just recently picking it up and showing his stuff in recent practices. Both Mason and Lemary can throw all the passes needed for the offense. They are both more consistely accurate than Murray. Both of them can see over the line of scrimmage better than Murrary (they are a good bit taller). Mason is exceptionally accurate in hitting receivers in stride on any route. Judging by the practices, Mason has a gripe about not being allowed to compete in games – he sure does the job at practices. And he sure wouldn’t hurt the team any more than it’s being hurt by Murray.

Who cares if Aaron Murray is the best QB we’ve got right now ?
He has had the
HEEBIE-JEEBIES every game all 9 vs teams finishing top 25.
PUT THE OTHER GUY IN
Let Aaron Murray get over his
HEEBIE-JEEBIES.
Once Aaron Murray fumbled in the Michigan State game, the HEEBIE-JEEBIES had HIT HIM
AGAIN.
Instead, we threw him RIGHT BACK INTO THE FIRE
And, he got sacked
4 times sacked
2 times threw interceptions
fell on his FACE about 6 other times before someone hit the little guy
Ran the offense into the ground
WITH A 16-POINT LEAD.
This is just the MOST RECENT GAME.
You know, the one a week ago ?
The game before that, HE GOT YANKED.
Way too late, but got YANKED.
He started the season off really slowly with his HEEBIE-JEEBIES to ruin this season in Game 1.
And, in Game 2 thrown right back into the fire
WITH NO OPPORTUNITY TO GET OVER THE HEEBIE-JEEBIES.
And, he was WAY WORSE IN GAME 2 THAN GAME 1.
Then, he proceeded to have a FAR WORSE 2011 than Aaron Murray had in 2010.
Every little cupcake he could do nothing with to have us be able to even
SEE IF HUTSON MASON can play this game.
We gave him a SCHOLARSHIP.
He has EVERY RIGHT to EXPECT MARK RICHT TO PLAY HIM.
Same with Jordan Love.
Jordan Love NEVER GOT TO PLAY HERE.

Mark Richt thinks of Aaron Murray as himself.

So, he FORGIVES AARON MURRAY wanting to relive his life through Aaron Murray.

Matthew Stafford (who had Knowshon Moreno) – combined first two seasons:
26 TD’s – 23 INT
Aaron Murray (who had jack squat running the ball) – combined first two seasons
59 Td’s – 22 INT
Stafford’s Junior season – set UGA TD mark – 25 Td’s – 10 INT
Murray Sophmore season – broke that record – 35 TD’s – 14 INT
Drawing no conclusions – no one was more ticked at Murray than I during the bowl game – and we can all count the number of times he’s turned it over in big games – but the stats outshine the former #1 pick in the NFL draft through 2 seasons – so I don’t think he’s quite as awful as some of you are making him out to be.

Bitter 99: You are an idiot.
I don’t understand this constant Murray bashing, He is clearly a very talented QB and most analysts predict great things from him (he’s already breaking records and he’s a SOPHOMORE). He threw a few picks in a big game. Guess what? Kirk Cousins threw three picks in that same game. Stafford threw 2 tonight in playoff game. Murray is getting steadily better and will be a top-tier QB next year, and if we’re lucky, for one more after that. Give him a decent running game so we can be more balanced, and he’ll do great. Heisman material, you morons!
I have a new idea. If you don’t know anything about football and/or just want to run your face about a team and a program to which you have no loyalty, then get the heck off of this board and go find someone who wants to listen to your pathetic ignorant whining.

“Glancer” made a good point earlier when he asked “If Richt’s SO confident in Murray, why won’t he let Mason or Lemay comepte with him on the field against good teams?”
Letting the backups have some playing time in important situations is how all of the best coaches show their confidence in their starting QBs. Just think how often you see Green Bay sitting Aaron Rodgers or New Orleans benching Drew Brees so that the backup QBs can come in and compete against the good teams. I’m sure Mike Smith is planning to pull Matt Ryan out against the Giants so he can give John Parker Wilson some playing time in a playoff game and show his confidence in Ryan.
Wait a minute. That stuff never happens. That point was as dumb as all the other points “Glancer” made tonight. “Glancer’s” posts may lack quality, but he makes up for it with quantity.

How convenient to put up STATS about passing, when we are talking about college football and he has THROWN AWAY 11 GAMES BY HIMSELF OUT OF 27.
LOST 41 PERCENT OF HIS STARTS.
41 percent of his Starts as our QB the other QB on the other team had a far better day than he had, LOSING ALL 41 PERCENT OF HIS STARTS as a DIRECT RESULT. 22 interceptions in 27 games and 21 fumbles in 27 games and 11 losses in 27 games, and 56 sacks in 27 games, and averages 7 carries a game getting 1 yard a carry and you think you can run in here and tell us he doesn’t have anyone else he gives the ball to to run it after he destroys our running game by himself all 27 games ?

I didn’t say he would be an NFL starter – but guys shorter than him. With less arm and accuracy than him have made rosters. If jon parker wilson can land an NFL gig – Murray can. He’s too short and doesn’t have enough of a power arm to be impactful by any means… But I’d bet you 100 bucks right now that he makes an NFL roster at some point.

Murray gave me the impression that if he has another great statistical year in 2012 then he’ll leave early. Why else would he check his draft status for this year when he had no intentions of leaving? Was he just trying to “me too” it with the players that were seriously contemplating leaving this year?

I have seen, smelled, and read a lot of b.s. in my life but a couple of you cats… Attrition you are one of them… Are spewing feces everywhere… There are a couple of people, myself being one of them, on this blog that have actual ties to the program and have actually played the game and understand the overall landscape of what is going on. When you read their posts you can tell… The rest of you alliyeration, glancer, etc. It’s like your mouth is having more than a bowl movement… Your mouth is having a bowel revolution.. If you really paid attention to the program as a whole you would know that after the spring game and camp Lemay was pretty lost.. The year off really set him back… We just heard a positive comment about his growth a couple of weeks ago… He’s going nowhere… You would also know that masons issue is that he cant stretch the field.. Of course your stats will look great when you throw underneath crossing routes in garbage time. Trust, at this point in his development, if he were the starter, he would have tereshinski or cox numbers… Believe that… He isnt what murray is.. Sorry.. Ramsey could be better than them all with his natural gifts but, that is years from now… Oh and one last point. Oversigning hides the need for walkons at other schools… And thats not right. Oversigning is foul and im glad cmr doesnt subscribe to it.. And if you dont think its a big deal, then why is the sec putting rules in place to try and get a handle on it?… Trust, uga’s attrition is no worse and i would venture to say that it is probably slghtly less than other big time programs it just seems like more because in the state of ga there is the freedom of info which puts everything a dawg does on the front page. Whereas, in other places things can be swept under the carpet… You see that the best player uf had left before the season started because meyer wasnt there any longer to cover up his shortcomings… Just one example of many.. Here’s another that i know that saban does.. Arguably the best.dawg this year jarvis jones was a victim of oversigning. He was told by lame kiffin that his career was over just so he, kiff, could clear another scholly… Idiots on the board know what the f#*k you are talking about before posting. Posting super long messages with a lot of players names and baseless comments that are manipulated to prove your misguided agenda doesnt make you right or sound smart… It just wastes everyone else’s time.

Mark Richt is loyal to a fault, and the way he has handled the competition at qb is a prime example of why Georgia is not an elite program.
Murray is not a very good QB and his record against top college teams is awful.
He will never make it in the NFL,and Mason needs to transfer to another school to show
his awesome talents.
GEORGIA will not win a national title as long as Mark Richt is coach because he plays favorites and other top SEC PROGRAMS DO NOT!

Who is “Glancer” and where did he drift in from. Maybe its Joe Tess Fishouse in disguise. At any rate, he is probably a one nighter and will go away and not come back.
