Isaiah Crowell dressed out, Bulldogs ready for LSU

Greetings from inside the Georgia Dome, where it is 72 degrees and sunny even in here. It’s so bright and clear outside it’s actually shining through the off-white teflon roof. Too bad they don’t have an outdoor stadium today.

OK, let’s go ahead and get it out of the way. I’ve already seen Isaiah Crowell today, dressed out and warming up with the rest of the Bulldogs. Whether he actually plays or not I cannot tell you for certain. I asked UGA publicist Claude Felton just 45 minutes ago and he did not know, referring instead to head coach Mark Richt’s statement Friday that it would be a “game-time decision.”

It’s almost game time, so I guess we’ll find out soon enough.

For what it’s worth, Richard Samuel was not warming up with the backs.

Perhaps just as important is the health of starting defensive end DeAngelo Tyson. His availability was in question all week with an ankle injury that knocked him out of the Georgia Tech game on the first series. But he was moving around pretty well during warmups and was announced as the starter for the Bulldogs, so that’s good news for Georgia.

As far as the game, I’ll reiterate that the Bulldogs, their head coach and their two coordinators are extremely confident. There is a genuine belief within the UGA camp that they match up well and can hang with No. 1-ranked LSU. Run defense and offensive diversity, they contend, give them an edge. Special teams and turnovers will be the wildcard, as always.

Last chance to let me know what you think? Do Dogs cover the 13.5? Do they pull off the upset?

Well, congrats to LSU. Everybody knew LSU was a great team. Dawgs man handled them for the first 30 minutes, but the huge mistakes on special teams and turnovers, which have killed us all year and turned games that would have been huge wins into pretty close games, turned the tide against us. We haven’t dropped so many passes all year. Odd that our sure handed guys all had the dropsies on the same night. Awful blowout, but if we had caught the ball and not fumbled, it still would have been a game! I liked Bobo’s first half calls, but he seemed to try to go to ball control in the second half with CT trying to run against LSU’ big D. It usually kills the Mo, and it did again tonight. Maybe if we didn’t try and do that with tiny backs? Is it just me, or can anybody else see that Malcome is far and away our most powerful back? Why our coaches won’t try to pound with this guy is extremely puzzling to me. Murray just imploded in Q4. I thought our offensive line played well, particularly in the first half. UGA needs to keep its head up and finish strong. We have a lot of talent coming back and things are looking up. LSU proved they are a great team by taking advantage of mistakes, and continuing to a big victory after getting shut down for the first half.

The game spoke for itself. LSU is not that good. We are that bad. We are Georgia. Sorry you so-called fans want to keep CMR and Bozo for another 5 years. Great. These peole who want to keep Richt can’t be Georiga grads. Our fan base can;t be this stupid. These must be the illitrate, bible beating rednecks who never graduated from Georgia. What a disgraceful game tonight.

As SEC East Champs, we were simply the best of the worst. Disguting.

And one last thing, I swear at over 40 years old, and as a 200 pound 5′7″ bodybuilder, I could run over more people than Crowell. My son’s high school team here in Florida has a bigger, more powerful back than that scrawny, gimpy punk. What is going on here??

The mistakes killed us . Crowell will be fine if we don’t blame every thing on him. He will get p Physically bigger and stronger for next year. The offensive problem I think is with Bobo and the Qb. Play calling is to predictable and then consevative. Murray is a solid QB but he makes too many mistakes at crucial times. I would like to see competition between Murray and Mason. Ken Malcome should have been getting more carries all year . He is more Physically developed than other small backs.

Great 1st half! Things could have been different without the dropped balls. Halftime adjustments by LSU shows we were out coached. Maybe a real running back coach would help our running back situation. Now we just wait to see where we go in the bowl game. Looks as Alabama and LSU will play in the NCG. Anyone ever notice thar Nick Sabin’s pulling down a base salary of $5,166,666. Evil numbers!!!!

Aarron Murry makes huge mistakes in big games. I hope this isn’t just the kind of qb he is. Crowell seems to be a total flop, I hope I am wrong. This was an embarrassing loss for me personally but some people think it is not a big deal. I Know LSU is a great team but we caved. Congratulations LSU you are a power house.

Great first half. The Dawgs played so hard; defense was stellar. Offense missed some big opportunities though!!! They’re young guys though and will improve. We need a couple of BIG running backs – Crowell is great when healthy but we need some other BIG backs. Boo Malcom shows wonderful potential and is a bruisier. We need a couple more. Now, let’s get our heads back in it and get ready for bowl season and finish out the season on a high note for next year!!!

I have been defending I. Crowell but after seeing him get us a stupid penalty right in front of our coaches and then walk away from Mark Richt when he was scolding him, I feel he will never fit in. He is not near as talented as we all thought, is prone to pain or pretending pain, and having an attitude, are all negatives. I am sorry, but I can’t find one single positive. He is not a team player or he would be producing.
In short, I think he would be better going somewhere else. Maybe elsewhere he could be successful but I really doubt it would be in a D1 school.
I was especially pleased with our “substitute quarterback” who ought to be given more work. Great defense, particularly in the first thirty minutes. Murray had another so-so day, but can’t be blamed for all the dropped passes, which were puzzling.
Next year should be a great year however, if we can pick up a running back, a couple of receivers and a couple of big uglies. GO DAWGS!

How did we get to this place with no decent jv running backs, much less sec caliber running backs? I was proud of the defense in the 1st half, then they quit in the 4th quarter. Embarrassing! 18 and 2 were scared to attempt tackles on the TD run late. Crowell is a wimp. Murray chokes against tough D’s. This is Richt’s trademark. Time for it to end.

Have to admit I’m surprised at the “shockingly sudden” turnaround from one half to the other. Most people that knew football knew the odds were against us today. I honestly didn’t see us getting beat that bad, especially after the start by our defense. The biggest adjustment I saw was the attitude of the LSU players.

Murray didn’t step it up to the level we needed him at, LSU certainly deserves a lot of credit for that. Crowell,IMO, needs to ride the pine, period until he matures, toughens up, whatever. I wouldn’t kick him off the team, I would let him sit and watch Richard Samuel and Boo Malcome. He should earn his playing time, regardless of his talent.

For the record, I think the Dawgs are going in the right direction, I was just a little disappointed in the total collapse. We finish strong in a Bowl game and it’s been a good year.

Contgratulations to the Tigers, and good luck in the rematch with Bama, or whomever, we will be riding with the Tigers.

What a horrible game. We missed our chances on offense in the first quarter and payed for it. Not sure why they tried to establish the run when we where throwing well and all our backs were injured…until we remembered we had Malcome… but looked like more OC shenanigans. I’m not on the fire Richt band wagon but if BoBo doesn’t go we can only expect more of the same when we face a decent defensive coordinator. The defense did their thing but as soon as the offense started giving LSU short fields and Murray started his big game turnover syndrome…42 unanswered points followed. Expected a little more…just can’t seem to win the big wins anymore…

Richt needs to announce that every position is open for competetion during the spring including QB. UGA will never win the SEC or NC with Aaron Murray as the QB; chokes in big games and his stats are because of the receivers stepping up big time this year. Good run UGA, but LSU and Bama are just too strong this year. And by the way, Crowell has all world talent and 3rd world heart.

We obviously have no one who can evaluate running backs. The last good one was Moreno and CMR redshirted him! Not only is Crowell a wimp he’s an idiot. Who shoves an opponent after a play with a ref already in his face. Malcome showed some desire and toughness today. He’s my bowl game starting TB.

Alabama sat at home.

Okie State ripped Oklahoma 44-10.

Votes are public by the pollsters for this one vote.

That might be enough 44-10 to give a team with the # 107 total defense in the nation a shot at LSU. I know LSU would prefer Okie State, who LOST to 6-6 Iowa State.

Too bad. I think Alabama is the better team. But reading the Alabama fans’ posts to these blogs, all I can say is that it could not happen to a worse bunch of just total losers Alabama has passing for fans.

Speaking of LOSER FANS, where is the clique of LOSER “so-called Bulldog fans” on these blogs PREDICTING HOW WE BEAT LSU, saying how great we are with 10-Win Season like 26 other teams this season alone, and how Aaron Murray is the Best Quarterback in The SEC ?

We will tumble in the polls.

We will play Michigan State in the Outback Bowl. Michigan State has better special teams than us. Who doesn’t ? Michigan State has a good Defense, and we of course do NOT HAVE AN OFFENSE. We get this re-match of the 2008 season when in 2008 we beat no team who ended up in the Top 25, except for Michigan State who that year beat no team who finished in the top 25. This year, Michigan State has a better team. This year, UGA has a WORSE team.

Well the drama begins now…
Okie State jumps Alabama with voters having to make their vote public

Big XII has
Okie State
Oklahoma
Kansas State
Baylor

I don’t think that matches up with The SEC.

There has been a huge backlash at the AJ-C against Alabama in the blogs. I would say that Alabama fans have BROUGHT THAT PART ON THEMSELVES.

Maybe they should have been rooting on CHOKE-LA-HOMA to play better than 10-44.

Where’s the clique of oh please renew Mark Richt’s contract BEFORE THE GAME ?

where's the clique ?

December 4th, 2011
3:22 am

Michigan State might be # 18
UGA might be # 19
Nebraska might be # 20
