Isaiah Crowell dressed out, Bulldogs ready for LSU
Greetings from inside the Georgia Dome, where it is 72 degrees and sunny even in here. It’s so bright and clear outside it’s actually shining through the off-white teflon roof. Too bad they don’t have an outdoor stadium today.
OK, let’s go ahead and get it out of the way. I’ve already seen Isaiah Crowell today, dressed out and warming up with the rest of the Bulldogs. Whether he actually plays or not I cannot tell you for certain. I asked UGA publicist Claude Felton just 45 minutes ago and he did not know, referring instead to head coach Mark Richt’s statement Friday that it would be a “game-time decision.”
It’s almost game time, so I guess we’ll find out soon enough.
For what it’s worth, Richard Samuel was not warming up with the backs.
Perhaps just as important is the health of starting defensive end DeAngelo Tyson. His availability was in question all week with an ankle injury that knocked him out of the Georgia Tech game on the first series. But he was moving around pretty well during warmups and was announced as the starter for the Bulldogs, so that’s good news for Georgia.
As far as the game, I’ll reiterate that the Bulldogs, their head coach and their two coordinators are extremely confident. There is a genuine belief within the UGA camp that they match up well and can hang with No. 1-ranked LSU. Run defense and offensive diversity, they contend, give them an edge. Special teams and turnovers will be the wildcard, as always.

I have to admit IC surprised me coming back in the game gotta give him credit, almost broke a big run in the second quarter. They have to keep playing this unbelievable defense, what no first downs,? Hasn’t been done since 2002 in the SEC Never seen that in football on any level. GOOOOOOO DAAAWWWGGGSSSS! Finish this drill,please!!

With all the uncertainties surrounding Crowell, it is now apparent that he was not ready to play and should have been redshirted, but hindsight is 20:20 and Richt had no option after Ealy and King left the program.
Before Georgia extend Richt they should demand that he goes out and get an OC.
Bobo cannot call a complete game; he keeps putting Murray in long down and distance. It should have been obvious to Bobo that Georgia cannot run the ball, therefore the run should be off the pass and not the other way around. Two run plays to start the second half and then for Murray to go deep on 3rd and 10 was stupid.

Ya’ll are crazy. Dawgs played with heart tonight, just didn’t have enough depth. LSU wore them down. LSU is a great team with a ton of depth. Good Luck in the NC. We played a perfect first half – we played a horrendous 2nd half. We knew going in there was no room for errors: Murray = fumble and int’s….he was great for a half – but you need a whole game to win a championship. Dropped balls – holy moly – all of a sudden we are dropping balls in the end zone. Not good enough. Malcome needs to play – bench Crowell until he grows up – a 15 yard penalty while standing on the sidelines? C’mon Crowell.
Hats off to LSU – they are deep and strong / they keep plugging players in 2,3,4 deep. Pretty incredible – there ’s a reason they are #1 – this is their year. Kudos.
To all of you Tech fans who are living vicariously through any and all teams that have a chance to beat UGA – you are too pathetic to even address. See you next year at the annual beatdown. 10 out of 11 and counting.
To all of you Bama fans – Why do you want to line up and get your butts kicked twice in the same year by the same team? Bama people really are genetically challenged.
Congratulations to our Dawgs for a great run and a great first half – no SEC team had ever been held to zero first downs for an entire half and you did it against the #1 team in the nation. No reason to hang your heads. Our offense had to play an error free and consistent game – we needed a big play or two on special teams – we fell short.

Time for Mark Wretch and cronies to go! That was an abysmal embarrassment. The Dawg defenders played their hearts out. The punt return team players should be left behind in Atlanta. They are all flat out awful! Whoever considers Aaron Murray an SEC quality QB is delusional. His giveaways against major foes in critical games have become legendary. What a pathetic effort after the pick which resulted in an LSU TD! Wretch is a loser. The Dawgs will be losers as long as Wretch and Mike Dodo are at the helm! Put the defensive guy in charge.
