Chip, First things first, in the interview with Z. Ogletree, it states his name as I. Crowell. Just letting you know because you might have been overlooked it in your attempt to keep the faithful updated constantly on the state of our beloved Dawgs and I can imagine that you don’t always have the time to have your posts proofread.
Secondly, how did you fine the composure to stand there any ask Ken about GT’s bowl options without cracking up? I was cracking up just listening to the exchange.

jacketman, like I stated earlier, Chip was just trying put something positive in Ken’s favor. That whole scenario was awkard because Chip didn’t know what to say. In all actuality what is he going to do, lie? The game was not even closen to what the score indicated. Instead of running the clock late in the game, UGA could have kept the foot on the pedal and continued to throw the ball.

I spose LSU will probubly beat Georgia………….but ya never know……….As a child, the first game I remember vividly as a DOG fan………not sure, but I think mabe 1964 or 65 or there abouts…………..Yup, just like next weekend, we were heavy underdogs to then #1 Alabama, and with time running out on the clock, we threw the famous “flea flicker” and shocked not only “the Bear” and Alabama………..but indeed the Nation………………Now I’m not going on record predicting a win…………but if we can get 150 out of our backs, and play a solid 4 quarters, the “mighty” LSU tigers might just have some problems they didn’t bargain for…………GO DOGS!!! As great as it is to see my Dawgs beat tech….again, its almost equally as rewarding to see the Gators go 6 and 6 after that Florida State loss. Go Dawgs!!!!! Great game guys. BTW, We haven’t heard much from the Gator fans in a while… I guess we see why Urbin Cryer jumped ship.

Atlanta : Georgia tek’s student section was not full vs its only Rival, losing their 10th in 11 games vs Mark Richt. Georgia tek finds 5 ACC teams better than it this season at 8-4, yet Georgia tek played the # 71 strength of schedule all season now. 53-56 is the won/loss record of all of Georgia tek’s opponents all season long. Pitiful.
Florida, vols, Vandie, Missy State all have the same record and none of their records is a winning record, Kentucky is a game worse than all those, Ole Miss is 4 games worse, and Auburn is 1 game better than .500. These are our 7 SEC wins this season.
Our other wins are over Coastal Carolina, also ran in Division 1-AA FBS, 4-8 New Mexico State who plays in the Western Athletic Conference, and now Georgia tek who is not ranked in any poll at all today – like ALL the wins by us this entire regular season. These are your 10-wins in a row opponents. Ranked teams ? Not 1 of the 10-wins in a row opponents of Mark Richt all season long is ranked today in any poll whatsoever.
Paul Johnson is known for his irresponsible reckless statements of hit UGA fans in the face and get back to your jobs at Walmart, you retard. To both, to make matters worse, he said they were jokes. Joke is the Sun Bowl against a team 1 win better than .500 California. Georgia tek has not won a bowl game under Paul Johnson, has lost 6 bowl games in a row and has not won a Major Bowl since 1955.
Aaron Murray is fixing to be 0-8 as our Starting Quarterback against teams who ended the season in the AP Poll Top 25.
LSU beat Oregon who is # 9 in the AP Poll and # 9 in the Coaches’ Poll, and LSU beat Alabama also in the Top 10 of every poll – both of those wins away from home; LSU also beat # 23 in the Coaches’ Poll West Virginia who is 8-3 playing in the Big East Championship. LSU beat Arkansas who ends the season in the Top 10. LSU is # 1 in the nation in every poll, as a direct result thereof.
We haven’t beat anyone. Not 1 team have we beat all season long against any team ranked in the AP Poll Top 25 today.

We haven’t beat anyone and do NOT match-up with LSU.
We NEVER beat the top teams when we play them.
LSU is the team who holds its own against top 10 teams, not Mark Richt
Last time UGA was # 1 pre-season, we played only 3 good teams that year, giving up 29, 42 and 31 consecutive points (that means our offense did NOTHING) in all 3 games, losing all 3 games to end the season AP Poll # 13. Had we started out # 13 where we ended, we would have dropped 13 places and been UNRANKED – 2008. We also won the Fulmer Cup National Championship punctuated by 22 going out the very night we were ranked # 1 in the nation pre-season and got arrested / suspended / kicked-off the team / just plain transferred out of the program over who was suspended and who was not – read Favorites in NO DISCIPLINE.
We haven’t beat a soul all season long while LSU has THREE (3) WINS over teams ranked in the Top 10 today.
LSU has been SIGNIFICANTLY BETTER than Mark Richt over this entire Mark Richt era.

To all you Tech fans who are still disallusioned: Your student section was not full. There was red thtoughout the stands. Yes I said “stands” . Your stadium is like a Division II school and you don’t even fill them. There is no debate. The fans vote each week.
The camera shots on the in the “stands” looked like poster shots of nerds. The game was not NEARLY AS CLOSE as the actual contest. You have an arrogant coach who can not believed that he was severely out coached.

With all due respect, please give it a rest, I know you don’t think OUR Dawgs have a chance against LSU. But you never know, I believe that this team has steadily improved as the season has gone along, yes there have been bumps and yes at times they haven’t played as well as they should have. But you know what the Dawgs are playing with confidence and have beat the teams that were on their schedule. Auburn and Georgia Tech were both ranked when we beat them handily plus we got over that mental block with the Gators and I do think that we match up well with LSU. One thing that I like about Coach Grantham is he is able to make adjustments during the game to what the other team is doing, that is why they get better on D as the game goes along.
Anyways PLEASE give it a rest, they might actually surprise you and everyone else but themselves next Saturday night in the Georgia Dome and send LSU back to Baton Rouge wondering what freight train ran over them.

Great win. It’s good to Georgia at 10-2, regardless of the outcome of the next game.I f Georgia plays to it’s potential and all the DAWGS show up, it could be a good game. Georgia needs to ‘Hunker Down” and play the their best game all season.

I will be at the Dome. I was at the Dome for our game with Boise State and wore the Bust Boise Jersey to mow the yard just now. I was at the Dome when we played in the Sugar Bowl you all said never happened there. I was at the Dome when we played LSU last time and enjoyed their jambalaya very much. I’ll be there this time too. Why wouldn’t I be ?
As for what we are supposed to do, well we are supposed to say now pre-game having beat no team who will finish in the top 10 since 2006 when we beat Auburn but lost 4 games that year, that we will beat LSU who has already beat 3 teams who finish the season in the top 10 and has another such win coming this season alone – when Mark Richt hasn’t beat more teams finishing in the top 10 all 11 entire seasons combined.

Real classy post. I don’t believe I ever called Richt or Bobo insulting names when Georgia was struggling the last couple of years.
If you are watching the FSU-Florida game…..you failed to mention that that dominating FSU team had 95 yards of TOTAL offense against Florida.
But, I agree, Florida will be behind both Georgia and SC until they get their offensive problems fixed, and it is not going to be an easy fix because of the youth and lack of talent and depth on that side of the ball. But the defense is very young and very, very good.

Did you see FSU’s 5-star DE commit, Dante Fowler, sitting in the south end zone with a Florida jersey and hat on (and has made three visits to Florida in the last 3 weeks)……along with another 5-star DE Johnathan Bullard for NC. Fowler had to be impressed with the atmosphere in THE SWAMP, the play of the Gator defense, and the clear need for talented DEs on the depth chart. It will be interesting to see if he switches to the Gators or not. He seems to have a clear interest in doing so.

You certainly are drinking the Kool-Aid for a team playing a team who has already beat 3 teams who finish this season in the top 10 while we have beat no team this season who finishes the season in the top 10 to continue the trend of Mark Richt against top teams. He also doesn’t beat all the bad teams he has played – LSU isn’t 1 of those Big Dawg, sir. The mental block over Florida is over ? 6 teams have already beat Florida this season, six (6.) And, because he is 3-8, he is over the mental block of Florida ? Georgia tek is ranked in NO POLL this morning and NEITHER is Auburn. UGA’s next task is to play for our conference championship. After that we will start preparing to get ready to play in a quality bowl game. Oh and I forgot, we will be preparing a pamphlet of El Paso for you to learn something about your bowl destination. Make sure to carry body armor or you will not have enough players to play come game time. El Paso is north ave. times ten for crime. If will make inner city Atlanta look like a retirement community in that area. If you are lucky, one of your tours during that time there will include the army firing range, where you will be entertained by cannon fire and a great meal of MRE’s. Your teams hotel will be armor plated to prevent you from getting shot by a drive by. You will have plenty of sun, and dust and cactus, so it should be very educational for you, since we all know that tech. players are all engineering students, microbiologist or math majors and need to be entertained.
See, even UGA worries about about it’s poor step sister. We don’t want you to get hurt, because we enjoy beating your butt too much every year, to watch you get depleted of returning starters. It is too bad you are not man enough to accept defeat. Who knows, maybe you can get a big east opponent so the stadium will be half empty like it is at most of your home games. You would feel right at home then. 500 tech. fans cheering you on. Until then, you left to gloat about another moral victory over the terrible UGA team. We can beat LSU if…..
1. .Bobo does a real good job with the offensive game plan. No way we can..pass on first…..run up the gut with a 180 pound tailback…and pass on third and long…..we have to have a hell of a good offensive game plan!!!!!!!!!!!!
2. Murry can’t be off and on…..I think our receivers are the best lSU has seen all year…..MURRY can’t miss when they are open and the receivers can’t have drops!!!!!!
3. Screen passes to slow the rush…..and inside/bubble screens to the receivers…………….
4. Long passes on first down will NOT work…..Murry needs to have a rolling pocket so he has the run option……short to intermediate passing game…..play action if we can get any running game going.

I noticed a lot of our starters still in the game until the game was over. I totally agree that it was more important that the players show they can go for 60 minutes because LSU will dominate most of the 3rd quarter and all of the 4TH if our starters can’t go the entire game. LSU will not quit until the game is over. Most of their win’s are because they dominate the second half.
If the officials will not get involved in this game like they did a few years ago I think Georgia can play with LSU. Hopefully Murray has learned since the South Carolina game that if you don’t beat yourself that Georgia can beat anybody.

I will admit that Georgia did not have high ranked opponents this year but it is not our fault that the entire East part of the SEC are having rebuilding pains. That’s what happens when teams lose great coordinators and head coaches. It may be a blessing in disguises . Georgia has gotten better as the year has gone on without losing any of their big play makers. Usually after playing a devastating SEC schedule we would be lucky not to have lost 3 to 5 starters to injury. But this year our team has stayed intact without major injuries and that will take us a long way against teams like LSU.
Murray has got to release the ball fast but not into low percentage completion areas. Murray will not have much time to decide what to do but it is better to give LSU credit for tackling you for no gain or a few yards lost than for Murray to turn the ball over. If we no not beat ourselves Georgia can stay with LSU . Alabama stayed with them because they did not beat themselves . In fact it is my opinion that Alabama beat LSU but lost the game because of their field goal kicker. I don’t know what happened to Walsh this year but I sure hope he has figured it out he could be very important in the LSU game

If we have one thing going for us it’s the fact that we always play LSU tough. I know we lost the last time we met but it was a good game and if we didn’t have that bogus penalty who knows how it would have turned out. I’m not taking anything away from LSU they have a great team and deserve to be where they are but UGA doesn’t fold to these guys and never has. If we play our game and don’t make stupid mistakes I think we’ll give them a run for their money.

We must be real Tech fans. UGA is a much larger school, many more alum that support the program, Many years ago GT was in the SEC. Our hero (Bobby Dodd) dropped out of the SEC. I will never understand why. And think about it, if you were a high school prospect and Tech offered you a scholarship along with UGA, Bama, LSU, UFL, Auburn, Tenn, ARK. and other SEC. schools where would you want to go? Not to mention Ohio St. Mich. N. Dame and all the other high profile conferences. What program would you pick? I’m not saying we should drop the program, but just remember its an uphill battle. And to my UGA friends I remind you GT anly beats you guys about once every 10 years or so. And when we do we crow about it. As you do when you beat the gators after 7 or 8 tries. So have some pity.

Does anyone here actually look at what happens on the field rather than just read what other people say about teams? LSU’s defense only a little bit better than the Dawgs. Statistically as well as factually. The Dawgs snuffed Auburn so badly that Moseley didn’t want to start anything by actually saying that the Dawg’s defense WAS better. The Dawg’s offense is better than LSU’s. They run the ball better but when forced to throw it they are not nearly as good as the Dawgs. The key to this game is whether the Dawgs can force LSU into being one dimensional. If the Dawgs stuff the run like Alabama did then we are looking at a major upset. The Dawgs have a better offense than Bama. Sure they can run the ball and Trent Richardson is a great back but they couldn’t score a touchdown against LSU. The Dawgs will. BAMA is supposed to be the best against the run… they gave up more yards to Auburn than the Dawgs did. Bama gave up 21 points to GA Southern… running the triple option. Tech runs the triple option better than GA Southern. Tech scored 17 points on the Dawgs. LSU couldn’t score a touchdown on Bama. LSU primarily runs the ball with the intent to grind opponents down. They didn’t grind down Bama and escaped with a win because Bama’s kicker choked. The Dawgs will stuff LSU’s run and force them to pass. LSU will assume they can stop the run only to find out that the Dawgs are the best balanced offense in the conference. Then the game comes down to special teams. A month ago that would have doomed the Dawgs. Not this time. We won’t kick it to Mathieu. LSU will kick it to Boykin and get burned.
Look at this way. If Bama’s defense is a 10 then LSU’s is a 9.5. But the Dawg’s defense is a 9. The Dawgs offense is an 8 and LSU’s offense is a 7. Take the net and that leaves the Dawgs a PLUS half point. LSU’s offense is good enough to win with their defense making up for the lack. They score alot of points on defense and special teams. Their offensive output gets better late once their opponent’s will is broken. The Dawgs did that to Auburn. They could have named the score after the middle of the 3rd quarter. Bama didn’t break and the Dawgs won’t either.
Dawgs win but I won’t call a score.

Deano, that score has as much chance of occurring as the reverse does. I’ll be surprised if either team wins by more than 10 points. The Dawgs’ defense is probably twice as good as Arkansas’. My take on the LSU-ARK game was ARK didn’t have enough defense to stop LSU. ARK got their noses bloodied and curled up into a fatal position the same way Auburn folded against UGA. The Dawgs would have beaten ARK as well.

LSU has played the # 3 SoS while our schedule strength is # 43.

So, we play Nebraska in the Outback Bowl reserved for the # 5 team in The SEC. Who do you play ? In what bowl game ? You’ve lost 6 bowl games in a row. Paul Johnson has never won a bowl game for you. You haven’t won a Major Bowl since 1955. Your only National Championships are ranked # 1 by the VERY SAME POLLS who have ranked UGA # 1 NC 6 times, too. The difference ? 11-3 Tech beat Pittsburg in the 1956 Sugar Bowl so your statement re Tech’s not having played in a major bowl since 1955 is incorrect. They have played in the Citrus Bowl and the Gator Bowl a couple of times since, including a game against Notre Dame, which they won.
