CBS will televise the Auburn at Georgia football game this Saturday at 3:30 p.m. at Sanford Stadium.
This will be Georgia’s second CBS appearance this season and 66th in school history, joining the Bulldogs’ victory against Florida two weeks ago.
Although Auburn (6-3) is coming off a victory against Ole Miss, the Tigers have been inconsistent, alternating wins and losses in five consecutive games. The Tigers have lost on the road to Clemson, Arkansas and LSU but defeated South Carolina by a field goal.
Georgia (7-2) has won seven in a row after dropping its first two games of the season. The Bulldogs control their destiny in the SEC East, needing victories at home against Auburn and Kentucky to clinch a berth in the SEC title game in the Georgia Dome on Dec. 3.

“If true, the nature and amount of charges made are very shocking to me and all Penn Staters,” Paterno said Sunday in a statement. “While I did what I was supposed to with the one charge brought to my attention, like anyone else involved I can’t help but be deeply saddened these matters are alleged to have occurred.”
Doesn’t sound like he stood by and watched.

Tech fans would do well to worry about their next game – the Hokies are not going to just roll over for you, even in your own backyard.
And where is this news that Auburn’s moving to the East? Hasn’t it already been decided – Aggies to the West, Mizzou to the East?

Can anyone provide some insight as to why the line is currently UGA -12.5? Does Vegas know something we don’t?

Maybe because Vegas is trying to get on Auburn Money on the game. Well, money on the Auburn side of the ledger. Vegas works to get the money almost even on both sides.

Alta,
Auburn is loaded with young talent. Over the next three years they will be very, very competitive.
Their coaching is obviously good – they just won a BCS.
You bet my friend………….I’ll pick Auburn by 10.
Consistent enough for you?
By the way, if The Dawgs do make it to The SECC against LSU who would you pick and by what margin of victory?

AU is the best SEC team UGA will play so far this yr. There’s no margin for error giving up long KO returns, missed FG, fake punts, etc.
It’s a winnable game for UGA but likely close late into the 4th…

Richt still sucks. You idiots. We beat no one of significance this year, or for the past 4 years. We lose big games. We’re 1st in the east right now because the east is absolutely aweful this year. Caronlina sucks, Florida sucks, Tennessee sucks and well, then there’s Georgia. We suck too. Who would be shocked if we lost to Auburn? You people are seriously metally retarded. So here’s a Mark Richt hater. Loud and proud. As long as this guy is head coach we will coninue to suck.
Just saying...

I’m a fan of Georgia, not of Mark Richt. So, I don’t consider myself a “Richt hater”…I’m instead a Georgia lover. I honestly think Richtophiles have no desire to win championships. They just want their man-crush on the sidelines. It’s sad. Never in the history of sport has one coach done so little with so much talent.

how long will crowell have to sit out against auburn. he’s suspended for 10% of all regular season games. that would be 1.2 games. i suppose he would have to sit for the first 12 minutes of the 1st quarter.

The flaw in your comment James is that accusation that Richt supported are somehow putting a man ahaed of thier interest in the school is completely discredited by the fact that they supported the last guy, and the guy before that and the guy before that just as much. In short, people support Richt because the is the coach of thier school’s team, and THUS, they are the ones who actually care less about the man, and more about Georgia, than those that seem fixated on the him and seem to view it as “his” football program.
I would also venture to say that these are also the people who would support the school, in thier decision to either keep Richt or go another direction just as much. AND it goes without saying, support the new guy more so than the folks who make such egotisticaly claim that they are the ones looking out for the rest of us loyal fans. because as we all know, it would be just a mattr of time before you and others will be down on the new guy despite him being the coach of UGA.

We’re on a table running win streak and getting ready to play for East Champs and the bad fans is still trying to hot sit Coach Richt. Coach Richt put together team for being Christian which helps recruiting and winning from teamwork. But now we gots the bad fans that trying to tear down program by hot sitting Coach Richt. And he won more SEC games than anybodies in last decade and that helps Dawgs to show how we running East as best team. Quit trying to get rids of Coach Richt when he winning for Dawgs unlike the bad fan loosers.

ESPN’s BCS analysts stated that UGA would give LSU a tough game because the Dawgs have a strong, fast defense and the better QB by far. Anyone making comments here earning money to break down college football? Didn’t think so. You have to admit, though, LSU has one heck of a punter in Brad Wing. Must be the vegemite…

DR……………..Like ESPN isn’t in the business of HYPING the game that will be on their network? No they are going to say The Game in the DOME is going to SUCK and UGA will look like NMSU. It is BUSINESS and ESPN is in bed more with the SEC than any other conference.
When they do the MURRAY stats and see how inflated they are they have to MAKE a story to sell.

“real knuckleheads on this blog”, and you exemplify that. You ask if “uga even played anybody with a winning record?” and then go on to mention SC, who obviously has a winning record (they were top 10 in the country just this past weekend. I’ll let you research the other winning teams UGA has played, and beaten.

“But, do you really want to play the SEC championship game? My prediction: LSU-45 / UGA-10.”
Hell yes, can’t win the SEC unless you play for it. If LSU beats us by 5 touchdowns (I’ll take Georgia and 34 any day), then that’s motivation for next year. But I think the rest of the conference is selling Georgia way too short. I can only hope that LSU is that overconfident, if we get there.

I like the UGA-AU game. Georgia seems to think we have a huge rivalry, but we Auburn folks don’t think much about it. Why not? Our biggest rivalry is with Alabama. After that, the UGA-AU rivalry isn’t that big of a deal. It’s just a good football game every year – regardless of the outcome. I like UGA, will be proud to call my child a graduate of UGA should he so choose, but if he wants to go to Alabama, he better get a full scholarship.
