“he’s 0-9 vs. winning teams”

Colorado did not finish with a winning record last year.

Also, you’re speaking out of both sides of your mouth by including Boise State and South Carolina this year as winning teams but not giving Murray credit for his win over Tennessee, which also has a winning record.

Sometimes, this is too easy.

CMB needs to decide on what kind of offense he’s running. Half the time it looks like Murray has decided to run, whether or not he’s under pressure. that being said, missing 3 “wide open td’s” deff. needs working on. Stafford he’s not, but he’s the QB including his Sr. year.

tenn ending up with a winning record, and Boise & SC ending up with losing records, wow, you proved you know a lot about football.

Truth:
Murray’s among the worst in the NCAA in sacks allowed, interceprtions, and red zone accuracy. And has never beat a ranked team, or even a team that ended up with a winning record.

Murray just beats the cupcakes, and loses to the good teams, that’s the truth.

“Prohibitive favorites?”

Did I miss something? The Dawgs have already lost head-to-head to South Carolina, and have yet to play Florida. Divisional ties are broken by head-to-head wins. The Dawgs have to beat Florida (for the fourth time in the last 22 tries), and hope for some third-party help against South Carolina.

Sure, it COULD happen, but someone needs to learn the meaning of the phrase “prohibitive favorites.”

KingTony- I know hat you’re saying, but if you’re going to argue that he couldn’t even win w/ those 2 receivers, then I’km just saying that it’s not like he even had Green for a good part of the season. He’s still a young QB, & he hasn’t had the best O-Line, & the receivers are young this yr. It’s kind of hard for the QB to win sometimes when they haven’t always had the best team. Sometimes the other team is just better. I’m sure he’ll beat a ranked team eventually. Don’t bury him yet.

CHIP,

Is it possible to see A.O. launched as a two point stance DE on passing situations. Against Florida for sure you will need your fastest and most aggressive players on the field. The “D” has been playing great. He would be a beast if charged with the simple task of attacking the QB.

anyone else seen how the carolina panthers utilize their tight ends? i think bobo should take a page out their playbook especially when you consider how many talented tight ends we currently have on the roster.

I see Thomas Brown changed her name to king Tony, your gold and white pom poms are showing. The fact is Georgia should be a heavy favorite in the East if they avoid more injuries. Florida lost 2 games by 3 touchdowns and Spurrier is 26-26 in the SEC at Carolina and the pressure is getting to him. Did you see his meltdown presser?

How many games has the backup QB won? You complain about the football knowledge of others, yet prattle on as if a star quarterback can defeat anyone – even if he’s playing on a lousy team. You are clearly a simpleton.

Tennessee has yet to play Arkansas, Alabama, LSU, and South Carolina. They have to win one of those games to be over .500 this season. Which one do you think they will win?

MY 2 cents

Out of all the teams from the east, UGA would be the better challenge to LSU or Bama. I know our defense is capable.

South Carolina is the leader in the East. I don’t see how that makes Georgia the prohibitive favorite. Georgia has the weakest SEC schedule, but that is no guarantee that they will displace South Carolina.

Having Ogletree back at LB will make us even better on defense. He may be the best athlete we have on D.

If we beat Florida, There will be some low murmur grumbling about Muschamp. Not that they were expected to be great this year, but bad losses to LSU and Bama and LOSE TO GEORGIA will ALL THOSE athletes will be tough to take for them. Funny reading Gators on here the last year or so about us. They feel entitled beating us, even with Zook at the Helm. Keep an eye down there.

Carolina has a QB playing with ONE GOOD game under his belt and is one ankle injury away from playing a scout team QB. I’d say it’ll be a typical Carolina fall, just like the beach. Fold like a cheap beach chair.

KingTony = Thomas Brown, Pollyanna and Rooster .. problem is, he isn’t “King” of anything except his mom’s basement. Hating on ONE guy for the entire team’s won/loss record in football is one of those things that exposes a person for their complete lack of football knowledge. So no, Murray isn’t the issue, nor was AJ Green. The issue is ….. KingTony

Dogs should handle Vandy. We came out flat. Vandy defensively above average against run. The brough a lot of corner and safety blitzes that we picked up and were able to hurt them passing so I expect Murray to have a nice day passing. I was surprised at the Rogers kid ability. Aarons little brother but quick and elusive. Forced some throws into coverage. Overall Vandy not the most talented but they play hard and smart for their new coaching staff.

Gool luck to the Dawgs on Saturday.

Not Complacent is right, we don’t need to be doin’ any ‘big-doggin’ so long as South Carolina has the win against us. All any of the three, GA/SC/FL, have to do is ‘win out’ their remaining SEC games and they’ll be the SEC East champs, and South Carolina, with the new, apparently effective, QB, Shaw, clearly has the most overall talent. Sure they’ve got to beat Florida and Arkansas, but we’ve got to beat FL and AU, so to me it’s a toss-up at best.

Meanwhile, and since there doesn’t appear to be anybody around to ‘blog’ about Georgia basketball, wonder how Leslie and Thompkins feel about their decision to ‘jump-ship’ a season early now? In fact, wonder how the NCAA, given the mess that is the NBA, would feel about allowing any ‘early departees’ to return for their final year of eligibility – assuming they give back any money they’ve received from teams or agents – doubt it. Plus who knows if there’s even scholarships available for ‘em?

PS – It ain’t Bobo versus Weiss, it’s our offense against their defense and vice-versa. See? Then again, maybe we can get ‘em to have a foot-race – Bobo and Weiss, that is – I’ll take that one.

Oh yeah, somewhere I heard that there’s something up with the Demps guy at Florida…anybody got any poop on what that may be?

You Dogs don’t want any part of Nick Saban and Alabama because Nick is going to beat the living sheet out of Richt just for recruiting reasons…..if by chance we beat LSU which is a huge if. It’s a shame anyone from the east even gets to Atlanta this year. What a joke are those teams. Talk about schedule luck!! You guys play nobody. If by chance Steve can get his new QB to play at a decent level then you still will not make the show.
