Boy the ACC is tough (insert sarcasm here). UT beat Cinci by 3 TDs. Cinci is up on NC State by 3 TDs (in the 1st half).
Really Techies, who do you play this year that will even be close to being ranked by year end? VT? Miami? Clemson? And yet you come on our blogs to talk smack even though your 1 for your last 10 against us. And you call us delusional.

Games UGA has 60/40 chance…. Vandy, Auburn, Kentucky
Games UGA are 90% sure….. Miss, New Mexico

Our offensive line has not been very good over the last three years now even when we were healthy. I really don’t think an injury is going to effect our line play compared to the way it’s played up until this point.

You guys will have to work triple-overtime to phony-up this game as being: 1. relevant or 2. a challenge.
It really dosen’t matter who wins or looses. No one will think differently about either team. This may be the most irrelevant NCAA game played in the past 10 years.

I guess we don’t have to guess which side of the fence 1953 resides. Altamaha, that’s the state of UGA football, I would “openly” bet he isn’t the only one. Richt isn’t held in “high” esteem as a coach by as many as some believe.

One of two things can be true about this QB controversy: (1) Mark Richt is trying divert attention away from his job security or (2) Hutson Mason is that much better than Aaron Murray. He would have played Shockley over Greene if he was better. He played Stafford over Joe T and Joe Cox. He regrets not playing Murray over Cox.

The good news is that Vandy beat Ole Miss. The bad news is that Vandy beat Ole Miss and we play both of them. Anybody ever stop to think of the possibility that Vandy may be pretty good and Ole Miss is just mediocre like us? A good coach can take 2 – 3 star players and have a 5 star team. On the other hand, poor coaches can’t keep 5 star players long enough to maxamize their potential and often fail to keep them out of jail. Ga continues to fail at coaching up anybody. We are already talking about Mason replacing what many said was the best qb in the conference. Ga has coaching issues, as evidenced by the fact that 3 star players outplay us …..regularly now.

Chip Towers, if you are going to be interviewed, for national news sir, do you really feel it is appropriate to wear a T-Shirt with Atlanta Journal-Constitution Sports inked on it, when every other person nationally always wears a Suit and Tie, sir ? I believe it detracts from the points you made. And, you made several points.
AltamamahawDawg, they don’t have to root for us to lose. The points Chip Towers make speak for themselves, unless of course on your dial up 4800 Baud modem internet access, you must not have watched the video Chip Towers presents here.
The point remains we have a whole host of issues with the # 7 average recruiting class of Mark Richt all 11 years now, every class, average # 7 averaging both Rivals and Scout rankings. We have holes and continue to while we stockpile at other positions as clearly delineated by 1953Dawg above as well. And, of course, there continues this discussion by Chip Towers that we don’t get sacked and there is pressure by players, coaches and fans to get someone else on the field playing Quarterback, other than Aaron Murray. Hutson Mason and Christian LeMay should both have played in several of the games that Aaron Murray continues to struggle in and continues to overthrow receivers, hold on to the football too long, lose and get sacked, while averaging 1 yard a carry for his entire career now running the football. He also has quite a few fumbles and has been bettered by many quarterbacks head-to-head on the field – that count stands at 9 so far who have been BETTER than Aaron Murray.
1.Justin Houston – would have been senior 2011
2.Caleb King – would have been senior 2011
3.AJ Green – would have been Senior 2011
4-Brandon Burrows RFr waited until Fall Camp for surgery lost for year
5-Dontavius Jackson RB transferred to UAB
6-Lonnie Outlaw – failed Qualify 2010, WR Ga Military
7-Walter Hill Wide Receiver – kicked off team or would be Senior 2011
8-Chris Little – transfer NW C College then Southern U then ineligible academics
9-Ben Harden – OG would be Senior 2011
10-Logan Gray- Senior Transfer Colorado
11-Montez Robinson – would be redshirt sophomore 2011, kicked off
12-Zach Mettenberger – LSU,would be redshirt sophomore 2011, kicked off
13-Chris Mayes – Dream Team 2011 failed Qualify, MS Gulf Coast Nose Tackle
14-Kent Turene – Dream Team 2011 failed Qualify, Jireh Prep NC
15-Jalen Fields, failed to Qualify 2010
16-OL Brent Benedict, RFr. — Transferred to Virginia Tech
17-Nick Williams – Senior 2011, transferred North Alabama Strong Safety
18-OL A.J. Harmon, Jr. — Transferred to Alabama State
19-TB Washaun Ealey, Jr. – Transferred to Jacksonville State
20-LB Marcus Dowtin, Jr. — Transferred to North Alabama
21-Jakar Hamilton – Senior Free Safety injured, transferred
22-OG Kolton Houston R Fr NCAA eligibility
23-OT Jonathan Owens – Redshirt Junior 2011, medical disqualification
24-DE Jeremy Longo, Jr. — Medically disqualified
25-OL Tanner Strickland, Sr. — left program not playing senior year injury
26-OL Trinton Sturdivant, Sr. — knee injury
No discussion all day today, every 2 minutes instead of this discussion which obviously must be had, about how Colorado clearly played better football teams than Georgia tek and beat the better opponents than Georgia tek in 1990 – while Georgia tek still has not won a Major Bowl since 1955.

OL : if we just look at the list of 8 OL who could be playing this week vs Ole Miss who will NOT now, we would see that this ADDITION by ATTRITION has not worked whatsoever. We are NOT better off without the 26, eight of whom are 8 OL.
3-4 : if we just look at this 3-4 defense, what we were told by AltamamahawDawg all Summer was that we would get SACKS. We have 1 all season, as Chip Towers states correctly in his video for this blog – a fact I have posted 10 times.
3-13 : if we just look at how we are 3 wins (2001 when we lost 4 games) (2005 when we lost 3 games) (2006 when we lost 4 games) these are the only 3 wins vs teams finishing in the AP Poll Top 10 all 11 years. We have LOST all the other Ten (10) games. We have NEVER had a season where we were considered great where we beat ANY team finishing that season in the AP Poll Top 10. Every single year for all 11 years, there were OTHER TEAMS who did. They were great that season, greater than us, and they BEAT teams who finished in the Top 10. We don’t do that.
10 : if we just look at how we have LOST to 10 cupcakes who did not finish that season in the AP Poll Top 25, even with their WIN over Mark Richt all 11 years now, we see we also do not always beat the cupcakes. In fact, I have detailed 16 such games, actually, where if they did not beat Mark Richt they would not have been ranked. 10 of the 16 which even after they beat Mark Richt, they still were not ranked.
26 : 26 Wasted Scholarships for 2011. Unbelievable that any coach would waste 26 of 85 scholarships. 1953dawg gives Mark Richt no bye on ANY of these points. He is a bad Bulldog fan ? Not hardly. It is the bad Bulldog fans who support this MEDIOCRITY.
Yes, I supported Mark Richt when he got here. I hoped he would learn how to hire and FIRE a coaching staff. He has not. I loved beating # 4 vols 2001 hobnail boot. When I look back at it now, I see all his statements about knocking the lid off this # 11 all-time 1-A wins football program – who since 1983 hasn’t done squat in terms of being on the national stage at the end of the year against a team who finished then that year in the Top 10 us also in the Top 10, great win – that his statement knocked the lid off, are a LIE of the highest order with his 4 Losses that season. I bought into the Kool-Aid hype that he was the # 4 best coach in all of America. And, let’s be honest, he is a really nice guy who is the kind of guy 1953dawg and I would love to claim as our head coach of football. He isn’t very good at # 30 in 1-A wins after 2005. He never did beat the top teams. He has always lost to cupcakes. And, his wasting of talent is intolerable after 11 years watching it and questioning his decisions which are unexplainable.

In fact, I would have played Christian LeMay in the 1st game vs Boise State on like the 2nd series. 3rd for certain. And, you KNOW I would have. I do not buy into and never have this hype about Aaron Murray. You know that too. So, you hide behind your little keyboard and pick on me when guess what ? I was right. I said it every day to your chagrin since the day he was recruited here. And, you know that too because you said I was way wrong on it every time I said it. Now, of course, today sir, you say that I NEVER would have put in a back-up for our starter at QB. Yeah, right AltamamahawDawg. That’s right say it over and over and see if you can make that stick that I would not have. In fact, I also said I would have put in Zach Mettenberger in Game 1 for Joe Cox too. And, I explained my position on THAT as WELL. I also called the coaches idiots in 2006 for making Matthew Stafford # 3 on the Depth Chart behind Joe Cox and Joe Tereshinski III. Any of this coming back to you AltamamahawDawg, sir ?

We should have too. But, then we instead Won The Fulmer Cup National Championship and suspended half the team, and kicked one-third of the team off the team. We also had to go all the way back to 1953 to find a season in which we lost more games than we lost. There is no excuse for forcing players to willy-nilly switch positions to fit a coach’s scheme who is paid $ 750,000 of MY monies. He had plenty of talent last year. He has plenty of talent this year. He doesn’t have any semblance of a secondary. He has no sacks. I said all Summer that we would (1) get no sacks (2) fumble 30 times this season and that we also are not very good at teaching our Offense to fall on such fumbles putting the ball on the turf and up for grabs (3) I said our QB is not great, that he averages 1 yard for his entire career to-date per carry and that he throws fuel on the fire of not having a running game therefore in this pass-happy offense (4) I said that there are Nine (9) QB who have out-played Aaron Murray – that at 4.7 he is NOT fast, that SEC DL are FASTER than he and that he is too small as indicated by his overthrows, that he never has beat anyone and that his 19 TD passes vs teams not finishing with a winning record and lost 2 of those and 5 TD passes vs teams finishing in the AP Poll Top 25 does NOT make him the GREATEST QB in The SEC 2011.
I have made many observations. You have disagreed with EVERY observation of mine.
Now, here we are with NOTHING after 2006 – that’s 6 seasons ago where we beat any team who finished in the Top 10.
We ain’t great.
We have the world’s worst “coaching staff” Mark Richt continues to be allowed to choose. If you want me to put up your posts, let me know AltamamahawDawg. Anyone can search any blog on any day from the beginning of time on this AJ-C site.

Everyone on these blogs is entitled to their opinion, and I respect your right to do so.
But IMO, you lose some credibility in your posts when you try to demean another’s opinion in disagreement by slurring their name as you do by calling AltamahaDawg – AltamamahawDawg.

Pollyanna has thoroughly proven that he/she knows NOTHING about the QB position. If Murray transferred right now, there would be top tier teams recruiting his services. Yards per carry? HE’S A FREAKING QB!!! You would have played Lemay? Great. That’s your take on it but in no way is a true freshman ready to take on the SEC. You’re not sold on the Murray “hype”? Fine. No one asked you to be, but again, that’s YOUR OPINION. But there are other facets of the game that have to be there for ANY QB to be great. Running game, quality wideouts and a line that can pass block. Dan FREAKING Marino couldn’t get the ball out fast enough to make plays the way we blocked against USCe.

How do you win a “Fulmer Cup” by suspending or kicking your players off the team? Real suspensions too. “Fulmer Cup winners” suspend their kids (if at all) for the Western Carolina game and play them against the top tier teams. Obviously, QB play isn’t the only thing Pollyanna/Thomas Brown/Insert new moniker here knows nothing about.

Also, I don’t believe any Dawg coaches are making excuses. We will be ready tomorrow and Ole Miss will be ready and will play MUCH better than they did last week. We will win, but it won’t be a blow out! Then that will give all the “haters” a chance to rag on UGA and CMR more! The haters want CMR out, b/c I believe he can coach and is turning the ship around. Altamaha:
We ALL thought the defense would improve and that the team in general would be much better. We thought the S&C program would be part of the answer, we thought that the 2nd year in the 3-4 would be part of the answer. We thought that having two 340 pound noseguards available to anchor the middle would be part of the answer and one looked at the starting roster on paper before the season and we all thought that we would have an excellent defense.
I’m not sure what happened, but we certainly aren’t the defense or the team in general that we expected to be and Altamaha was not alone in this.
