My videochat Thursday with Noah Coslov of CineSport regarding the issues facing the Georgia Bulldogs (1-2, 0-1 SEC) heading into Saturday’s game against Ole Miss (1-2, 0-1).

Ole Miss got blown out by Vandy last week. How can their be any concerns after that?
September 22nd, 20111:02 pm
Wow!..a sports writer interviewing another sports writer! (Yawn!)..not taking the bait. Same thing on another blog. Come on, Chip!
September 22nd, 20111:07 pm
Bob,..Exactly!..These guys are trying to rile people up. That’s all!
September 22nd, 20111:30 pm
We should handle Ole Miss, regardless of missing two offensive linemen. 5th!
September 22nd, 20111:34 pm
This is football. Players get hurt, and other players step up. Every time someone goes down, all I hear from you Chip is that it’s the “one of the areas that Georgia just cannot afford another injury.” Come on man! Injury’s are never good, but good teams can play through them, not use them as excuses. What ever happened to hunkering down?
September 22nd, 20111:36 pm
ole miss 66 dawgs 3.
Rumour has in someone in Athens ate Russ. Anything to this tragic report.
September 22nd, 20111:46 pm
Saban(closet Tech fan hiding behind of a name of a coach he thinks can actually beat UGA)
Rumor has it you were at Tech Fan Day and were asked to leave.
Trying to hold hands with Coach Johnson and all of the male Tech cheerleaders.
I have been told this is not a rumor, it is fact.
Care to comment?
September 22nd, 20111:48 pm
If Houston hasn’t ever suited up much less played a down how could that have any impact?
September 22nd, 20111:50 pm
Just man up and run the damn football. Every O lineman can run block. I think.
September 22nd, 20111:52 pm
I don’t see that UGA is making any excuses going into this week’s game with Ole Miss; the coaches are just stating the fact that we are weak from injuries in the OL. The fact that we are is the issue we must overcome.
And, I don’t take any consideration of Ole Miss’s play against Vandy as a measure of how they will play us.
I just believe that loss will make them play even better against Georgia.
I just hope that on offense, defense, and special teams, we can play up to the demands that will be needed to win.
St Simons - we're on Island time
September 22nd, 20111:56 pm
well, if this was a top-tier program, they would just let the next underclassman step up and you wouldn’t even read about it.
How low does it have to go?
Thanks for reporting dawg news Chip.
Don’t let the haters hate bother you. The O-Line is major concern………glad your reporting on it.
September 22nd, 20111:58 pm
Did you eat Russ?
Cannabils in Athens. Yikes.
September 22nd, 20111:59 pm
Chip was also clear in his comments that he doesn’t believe Hutson Mason will be inserted into the game during times where the game is still in question. He quoted the GA coaches and that gives him pause to wonder what will happen.
Yet Chip gets bashed for being a pot stirrer when all he is doing is reporting.
Chip, we appreciate your work
September 22nd, 20112:01 pm
How many hush puppies did Coach Johnson give you at the Tech fish fry on Fan Day?
We know you were there trying to ask all the male cheerleaders out on a date.
Still no comment?
silence is golden………………..
September 22nd, 20112:03 pm
We could beat Tech this weekend.
Saban……Dawgin Lex owned you and you still come back for more…sure sign of a dumb tech man

September 22nd, 20112:12 pm
20th!!! Woo hoo!!!
September 22nd, 20112:13 pm
With all due respect, we are playing Ole Miss this weekend. The tech yellow fellas will have to wait until November, and we do too. Having said that, I already have that weekend as a ‘W’ for the Dawgs too.
September 22nd, 20112:14 pm
GTBob, Its not unrealistic to think Vandy may be better than Tech.they have played a tougher schedule.
Man to Man Coverage
September 22nd, 20112:16 pm
This game will be close and come down to final possessions. Mason is just average.
September 22nd, 20112:19 pm
This game will be over at the half…the stadium empties and everybody goes back to the Grove to tailgate…Dawns in a landslide…
CHIP “YOUR FIRED” LOL! IF UGA LISTENED TO THE AJC, THEN UGA SHOULD CLOSE UP SHOP AND NEVER PLAY FBALL AGAIN. YOUR WHOLE TEAM NEEDS TO FIND ANOTHER CAREER BECAUSE YOU ARE THE MOST NEGATIVE GROUP OF LOCAL WRITERS I HAVE EVER SEEN. MAN IT MUST BE MISERABLE TO BE YOU.
September 22nd, 20112:22 pm

September 22nd, 20112:24 pm
Um ok KB, that has nothing to do with what I said but thanks for sharing.
September 22nd, 20112:26 pm

DIL: Go easy on Saban. If you hurt his feelings he’ll kick Flag Boy when he gets home tonight.
September 22nd, 20112:31 pm
Ole Miss had 5 interceptions last week tough to beat anyone 5 TO’s , everything that could go wrong did, they will play more like the team that lost to BYU by a point than the one Vandy beat.
September 22nd, 20112:34 pm
I for one, hope Mark Richt stays. I like this direction for the UGA program.
September 22nd, 20112:48 pm
Man to man…..ole miss would no after the beat down to the mighty commodores…lol…get real!
September 22nd, 20112:49 pm

September 22nd, 20112:51 pm
“Georgia’s concerns on offensive line heading to Ole Miss are serious”
And this is news? Haven’t they had the same problem for the past few years? Could it also be related to the coaching? Enquiring minds want to know.
September 22nd, 20112:57 pm
i think you are off…
September 22nd, 20113:05 pm
what is an enquiring mind?
Is that the paper you read the National Enquirer?
Isn’t it “Inquire” spell check gerbil boy?
September 22nd, 20113:07 pm
Oh i get it.
Enquire is to ask but inquire involves a full investigation.
To get a full investigation, you have to be taken seriously and you are not.
September 22nd, 20113:11 pm
MMC….I think you lack knowledge as evident of going personal…envy much Man 2 Man?

September 22nd, 20113:30 pm
they will play more like the team that lost to BYU by a point than the one Vandy beat.
Well now you should be worried because BYU looked amazing last week.

The O-Line’s Thin

Tech Grad mows my Lawn
UGA beats Ole Miss with its 2nd string line….way to much speed and to many mismatches at most every position. UGA 34 Miss 17
September 22nd, 20113:38 pm
Inquiring minds want to know what you’re going to do about that back four? they’re horrible and I think they just got another flag!
Make sure you face the music over the next month and a half…. lol
September 22nd, 20113:45 pm
258DAWG I believe that would be nothing. And horrible? How about that prancing fairy QB you have that is too short and has never beat a team with a winning record. Now that would be horrible.
September 22nd, 20113:46 pm
so sick about hearing our thin we are at various positions. isnt that the coaches fault for not evaluating talent properly and for not recruiting players that stay in school?
What happened to the 31st in a row preseason prediction by dog fans that you would once again win a NC?
September 22nd, 20113:49 pm
Memphis and Southern Methodist is on my Fox Sportsnet at that time. Hope it is on Espn 3
