Below is my weekly pregame video chat with CineSport’s Noah Coslov in advance of Georgia’s SEC opener against South Carolina on Saturday. We talk about what the Bulldogs need to do better against the Gamecocks, the team’s current emotional state, what they need to do to contain Marcus Lattimore and whether or not this is the biggest game of coach Mark Richt’s career.

Steve Spurrier is so evil, I think he will blow this game just to keep CMR & Bobo the coaches at Georgia….he’s that evil!!

Dave, ditto. The def couldn’t stop Lattimore last year and from what we all saw last w/e vs Boise how are we supposed to believe the def will stop Lattimore and garcia this year. Its the same horse just a different color. Garcia may not be a Kellen Moore but good enough to give our DC fits trying to cover SC receivers. I have a terrible feeling this game will be over before it gets started. GA is not in game shape as everyone thought it would be plus too many starters are dinged or out which makes the task of matching up w/SC that much more difficult. Only way GA wins this game is for SC to turn the ball over and we score some def TD’s or get the ball in their red zone and punch it in. Must keep lattimore on the bench. Straight up and we have little chance of beating SC and the old ball coach. Our coaches don’t even factor in this game as they have lost the art of winning.

Who knows? Maybe Spurrier will do the UGA fanbase a favor and end the controversy about Richt’s future once and for all.

South Carolina is just as talented as Georgia now, and in terms of coaching…Spurrier or Richt? C’mon…that’s not a contest. PLUS, Georgia BRILLIANTLY published their offensive game plan earlier this week…great move!

I remember a few weeks ago there were a huge amount of Kool-aid drinkers on here thinking Samuels will be a great RB and since he gained weight he would be awesome
I kept saying Coach Richt was wrong in putting him there and his incopotence in coaching will cost this kid a possible career as a defensive player

Now, the Samuels move to RB is haunting due to the loss of Ogletree at LB.

Flat Tire, this was my thinking exactly. Samuaels was a two way player in High School, but he was steller at LB, just above avg. at RB.

If the offense can’t move the chains Saturday and our D has to go back out there( no depth by the way) every three minutes, Lattimore will be breaking off 10-15 yards runs by the middle of the second quarter. Bobo is telling us he’ll run the no huddle. Ok, that’s great if like Boise you’re moving it down the field. 3 plays and a punt takes about 21/2-3 minutes. God help our defense.

With Bobo’s comments about what we are going to run, I hope he was kidding. This guy runs the offense just like we run this country. Hey lets change what works and try something that doesn’t for a CHANGE! It’s to bad that CMR will get fired because he allowed Bobo to take on the OC position. Since CMB has taken over we have gone straight down hill. UGA 17 USC 45!

We’ll see what happens but I’m not optimistic about South Carolina coming to town. CMR is going to feel that seat get blow torch hot if it’s a blowout and Spurrier is not one to miss a chance to stick a knife in UGA.

Let’ see. The game is on saturday and not today. Think I will hold judgment until the game has been played.
I literally can’t stand fans who are GA fans one moment and haters the next. I wonder if all these negative postings are really from Ga fans or maybe, SC, FLA, or some other team fan?
Boise State right now could beat a lot of teams this would include a few from the Southeastern conference. They are ranked number 5, for reason. Georgia lost to a number 5 team by 14, what did some of these so-call top teams win by – one could surmise lesser teams in rankings? And did any of them struggle before winning?
Maybe, all of us GA fans should settled down although we all are deeply disappointed and can remember vividly the”Good Georgia teams” and the success they had. Let’s see how this season plays out. I’m sure like the fans the players and coaches are disappointed and some know the urgency of turning this program around and back to respectability,.If not, then I am confident that changes will be made. I can’t see where the University will accept this much longer as it is destroying the image of Georgia football.
Go Dawgs!!

Nothing could be finer,
Murray is twice the QB that both of your QB’s there put together. His problem is Bobo as is the defenses, offenses and probably even special teams. His play calling is what is making the whole team look bad all around, not Murray. The DAWGS did shut down the Boise running game for the most part, even though they were on the field, way too much, due to the ineptness of the OC play calling. You really need to win something beyond a east division title before you start thinking you are special. You should be able to beat the DAWGS with the coaching they are getting from Bobo, but your team is a long way from being on the top of the SEC.

That team from Idaho is maybe the best team in the nation. South Carolina is a very solid team with proven playmakers and can beat you with good coaching. If we can somehow hold lattimore to 100 we have a chance. That is the key because he will run early and often and get stronger as the day goes on. That starts with the defensive front. If we can force garcia to throw he will make mistakes and we will win at home.It will be close and come down to Spurrier vs. Richt in the fourth quarter. We’ll see.

the D shut down the Boise RB? …Boise didn’t have to run the ball because they were getting 12 yards on every freakin’ pass. Unlike UGA coaches, they didn’t try to force what wasn’t working, but took what the D would give them…the underneath routes (just like last year).
Do we have an offensive playbook? I would have thought that after running this same offense for a decade, there might be a screen, a rollout, a 2 tight end set, a fullback blocking, three step drops, quick slants or some other way to take advantage or counter the pressure of the Boise D-line.
Maybe the Athletic Department should use some of that profit margin to buy the coaches the football game for the x-box to learn some new plays.

The team went full pads again on Wednesday, but the results left Richt in a bad mood.

If you would stipulate that both teams have equal talent, then the dawgs have no chance. Spurrier against Richt is like Boise’s team-men against boys.
And as far as Gratham goes, someone said we must hold him under 100 yds. Gratham won’t hold him to under 100 yds. per half. That big fat slow nose will be on his back all night long.
We need an entire new coaching staff to instill some discipline!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

“,,, Kool-aid drinkers on here thinking Samuels will be a great RB:
I think the operative wording was a “bigger Lattimore with more speed”.
The beaners were not at all upset that he missed nearly the entire fall camp with injury, as he learned everything he needed to know about playing RB by being on the scout team defense last year.
Well he was still hurt Saturday and it is highly doubtful he will be fully ready this Saturday. That leaves Crowell, who was as predicted not ready to play Saturday night. He also missed alot of reps during fall camp. He missed a ton of assignments.

I’m just glad we have a Coach who knows how to keep that in perspective. Mark’s a dawggone good guy. Anybody can coach, but few can pray like Coach Richt. We should give him an eternal contract extension. Think about it… As long as he’s coaching, then nobody can really give us any flak about losing games.
After all, it’s only football.
