SC fans need to hope Garcia doesn’t have a hangover on Saturday when they face us. If we sack him a few times, at halftime he may just go to his locker get some liquor and drink it to ease the pain. Sounds like something Garcia would do doesn’t it?
QB coach: Garcia what are you doing?
Garcia: Easing the pain coach, by drinking.
QB coach: You can’t do that son, we have a game.
Garcia: Who are you to tell me?! Your a drunk too.!
QB coach: Well I can’t argue with that.

AJ wasnt there to help UGA? Hello when you have to depend on a wide receiver to be the leader on the team you have more problems than you realize.

I’m going to love it when these Tech fans who are bashing Georgia’s defense get to see their team finish 5-7. Sorry defense, sorry o-line, no one good at b-back, good luck nerds!

I looked up Georgia’s pass defense stats from last year.
You were dead last in your conference in stopping your opponent on third down, most of it via the pass.
Opponents converted over 40% of third downs against you.
Even our sorry defense did not achieve that dubious honor last year.

I didn’t know football was a fat contest. In that case uga wins on what it has between the ears alone.
Heck, Grantham ranked #1 in the nation if it’s a fathead contest, lol.
Somebody told me it was 16 – 3, can anyone verify, is it 16, 17 or 18 to 3?

Chip,
What’s the word on Malcombe? He seems to stay hurt, any chance he can make a significant contribution?

“Nothing Could be Finer” is a Klinesfelter! SC lost 5 games last year and they are acting like they won the National Championship. You barely beat UGA at home wihtout AJ Green on the field, and we were breaking in a Freshman QB. Anyone that has watched and followed football more than the past 2 years knows that this game is always close no matter who is the more talented team. You are comming to Athens at night. Yes SC is talented this year, but your O-Line is young and you replaced alot of your secondary. A 5 loss team should not be talking trash to anyone. Lets settle it on the field! I will take Murray over Garcia any day, our running game will be improved, this will be the best defense we have had since the 2004 BVG team. If you dont believe that then you are a moron!

Hangover or not, Garcia won’t have to do much this year in Athens other than to hand the ball off.
Your 3-4 has proven it can not stop our running game.

Murray is going to be really, really good this season as long as his receivers can get open. Chip, you are an excellent blogger and I enjoy your material, but there is no comparing Murray to Brantley. Brantley hasn’t won the big games either. Tebow lost a few big games his first year as a starter and then almost no one could stop him. I am concerned about Crowell and Samuel though, we won’t be able to run the ball at all if those guys can’t come back from their injuries. It does sound like Crowell will be okl

Big Spur, I agree that you guys should be really good this year, and Lattimore is a beast, but I think you’re making too big of an assumption about our 3-4 after one season. We had no time to recruit the bigger guys it took to run that defense. Now we have two guys around 350 pounds who could make a big impact. We also have some young guys who have talent like Garrison Smith and Ray Drew who should help us do a better job against the run.

Cochran was a speed QB at MCHS with a decent arm. Think he would really give the Dawgs a boost if shifted from QB to TB given that we have Murry and Lemay in line. The dude is a hoss with incredible speed and the moves to make people miss. A real catch if we could land him and he would agree to the switch. He sat out last season I know so would be eligable.

SC is not acting like they won the NC, you made that up. They are acting like they whipped you which they did. If beating you made them NC, 7 teams would have shared it last year.

Sometimes you have no idea what kind of impact the freshman on the other team are going to make until they step on the field. Malcolm Mitchell and Amarlo Herrera both seem to be making a lot of improvement and could be some guys to throw at Boise to start the season.

Appears it is the same chronic leg for IC. At first CMR says it day to day and then Chip reports he appeard severly limited the past week. The should test the new strength and conditioning program. Those lingering injuries are the worst kind. With his chronic leg problems in high school maybe Auburn had it right early when it was rmoured they wanted to shut him down for a year and rehab/strenthen the leg. Here is wishing him the best. Too much talent to rush him on the field.

@ 17-3. You lost 5 games last year! You had your butt handed to you in the SEC Cahmpionship, by FSU in your Bowl Game and lost to Kentucky. That is not a great body of work! You are bragging about beating the worse GA team in the last 12 years and you wouldnt have done that if Ealy didnt fumble. You beat UGA last year, great! What did it get you? But thats the whole point isnt it, both teams look a little different on paper and we will see come Sept 10 how those lofty expectations shake out! GATA

Boise purchase all the tickets alloted to them, 7,500. So at least that many will be attending. Then you have 9,200 tickets sold to sponsers. UGA received just over 53,000 tickets.

The dogs defense always looks promising in August, but when they come down here to Jacksonville every October, the result is the same. I don’t see this year being any different, Florida wins going away, the dogs go 6-6 or worse, and the trend continues
