Just remember the APR numbers can be easily manipulated by the universities, i.e. the Auburn Sociology department (Auburn had higher numbers than Vanderbilt) and the Tennessee “tutors”.

I was at uga practice yesterday and the ajc is right the whole team is awesome, Murray is a combination of Matt Robinson and Ray Goff, Crowell is better than Herschel and he’s just standing on the sidelines, !@503@&#$ Grantham is better and fatter than Buddy Ryan. We are so scared……….
ps
I’d run on the field like classless fools if I only won once every 10 years too.

Speaking of probation,
How many scholarships did Richt have to give to walk-ons this year?
Nine? Your self-probation is worse than anyone’s REAL probation.

Saban,
Spurrier won’t beat the puppies 88 – 6, he’ll leave (laughing) at halftime up 44 – 0 and he’ll be playing golf in Agusta during the pups 2nd half comeback. Final score, 66 – 9.
But the pups will have the best excuses in the conference.

No way South Carolina scores that many points with their offense.
It will be more like a comfortable 27-6 win with a “message” TD to Alshon at the end.
Now Boise State is a different matter. With their schedule, they have to score a ton of points to have a shot at the title. A 66-9 win is very likely.

Coach Grohbo our pass defense was ranked 17th in the country last season. In our first season in the 3-4. Our entire starting secondary is back. What you think? We’re likely to be top 10 pass defense in the country.

I smell haters with extra hater sauce in here today. Haters can’t stand to hear good things going on at UGA. They hate the fact that we have no cancers on the team, extra motivation to beat their team, no arrests this offseason, more discipline than we’ve had in years, etc. We have a good coach, a good team, and finally a new attitude. Get over it. We’ll see your team in a few weeks.
Oh and GT fans hiding behind other teams’ names just to feel superior, your losers. How does 9-1 feel? Ready to make it 10-1? Might as well be.

grohbo,
The only reason that Techs. defense will even resemble one is going against such powerhouses as W. Carolina, M. Tenn. State, Kansas and Duke. Don’t forget that other powerhouse you play called UVA.
Just like 9 out of the last 10 years, you will brag, and you will lose to UGA, no matter how bad our defense is according to you bugs. It is amazing to me how a person from a school, that almost always loses to UGA, can come on here and brag about your team, and then play such powerhouses as your team does.
I imagine the only thing you could possibly coach, is your kids tee ball team, becuase you obviously know very little about football.

Finer…Jakar Hamilton was not a “starter”…he was in a few games but Shawn Williams started in other. Williams is better both mentally and physically than last season. Rambo and Williams should be the safeties but Commings could take someone’s spot. We have a lot of depth in the secondary. We definately aren’t lacking. Get some.

Do you read articles before you comment about them. The young man lost with a bone fracture yeaterday was not a starter. I assume you read the article from the AJC, when it was only mentioned about 4 times, that he was a back up.
Maybe Spurrier is right after all. Folks in the S.carolina aren’t the brightest bulbs on the tree.

In most folks ( real football fans) eyes it really doesn’t matter what a QB’s stats are if he can’t lead his team to a victory. Georgia with Murry at QB didn’t beat a team with a winning record last year…I’m a die hard Ga fan and I hope that changes dramatically this year!!! Very close last year to having a 10 win season…..lets crush em this this year….leave no doubt that the DAWGS are back!

Lattimore can get some too. He’s not God. He can and will be stopped on September 10th. I promise you that! Jenkins and Geathers are huge. You just don’t get it do you? Those guys are motivated to shut people down. You just don’t stop a 350 lb motivated man easily. NOBODY has just overpowered Geathers in practice. You just can’t. You need a certain technique to block a man of that size. Boise’s center is gonna have trouble. A lot of others will too.

Namecalling aside, Texas Baller, in a 4-3, “Mike” is indeed the middle LB. Georgia does not run that scheme. They have two ILBs flanked by two OLBs. There is no such thing as a middle LB in the 3-4.

What are the sizes that Boise’s center has gone up against? What are the sizes of the DTs in the WAC? He has never seen or even practiced against guys the size of Jenkins or Geathers. Hell our defensive ends are bigger than he is. Our defensive ends weigh more than the offensive tackles from Boise. We have almost 1000 pounds with only 3 guys on the line for us.
Boise’s center (Thomas Byrd) has never ever seen a guy with the size of Geathers or Jenkins. It’s not like he’s practiced against it either. He has no idea what to expect. Not only are they big but theses guys are fast and quick too. Goodness gracious.

Jenkins is about 6′4 and 340 something.

Imagine all the tipped passes that we will get. You don’t just hover a pass over a 6′6 man that has his arms stretched up trying to bat down your passes. Moore is only about 6′0 if that. Everybody calls Murray names about his height but he’s taller than Moore but Moore is all-world? I don’t get it.
Tipped passes= interceptions and interceptions= touchdowns.
Georgia=winners! Go Dawgs!

First of all 357 broken tackles is not possible. Which game did Lattimore have more yards in? Georgia or Florida? Which game did he have more production? And which team did you guys beat worse? UGA or Florida? All those answers are Florida, yet your on the UGA blog? Hmmmmm, smells like a hater and if it smells like a hater, talks like a hater, then it’s most likely a hater.

Also, Mark Richt has been in the dome three times with two victories and never got his tail whipped like you did last year.

Chip,
good interview, but I would argue that one of AM’s best qualities was his ability to win big games and under great pressure at Plant. The trend in HS will likely continue this year. The problem last year was bigger than him, and he was very young and inexperienced. We have all watched QBs choke or just not perform, and AM didn’t do that. He did make mistakes, but that is part of the learning process. I like your comments on the D, but I listened to an interview of CTG and he didn’t sound very enthusiastic to me–maybe that is just him, but he pointed out how young and inexperienced we are, and that he thought we would grow into a good D this year…to be honest, he kind of dashed my optimism a bit. I was looking at it more like what you said. Again, that may just be Coach Grantham’s approach. Go Dawgs!

Every team loses talent. Few lose as much as UGA did last year. Time will tell how the guys have do. It is fair to say though they are not lakcing in ability or they would have found themselves at Coastal Carolina rather than in the SEC. So lets not undersell the guys returning just yet.

I guess we will find out if UGA is TB U this year. We could be through Ealey, King, Samuel, Crowell, Malcome, and Thomas in game 1! If we can win with our #7 TB, Big Brandon Harton, we will be TB U again. I think it will be cool watching him run behind Figgins! No way Boise will even see him….Go Dawgs.

Ealey was a cancer. I don’t believe AJ was here to help out UGA. King obviously didn’t want to be here because if he did he would have studied. I think we got rid of a lot of bad apples guys. It might have been talent, but we have talent. Sometimes attitude and effort beats talent. I think that’s going to be our case. Not saying we don’t have talent, but our attitude alone will win us a lot of ballgames this season.
