Hoover, Ala. — Sportswriters covering the SEC picked Georgia to finish second in the SEC’s Eastern Division and selected nine Bulldogs for the all-conference team.
Six Georgia players were named first-team All-SEC, including sophomore quaterback Aaron Murray, junior tight end Orson Charles, senior offensive tackle Cordy Glenn, senior place-kicker Blair Walsh, senior punter Drew Butler and senior kick returner Brandon Boykin. Senior center Ben Jones. senior defensive end DeAngelo Tyson and Boykin were named to the second team.
Alabama was picked to win the league, getting 98 points to finish ahead of LSU (29), Arkansas (18), South Carolina (14), Georgia (4), Florida (2) and Ole Miss (2).
The Gamecocks received 114 votes to win the East while Georgia had the second-most with 38. Florida got 12 votes.
Alabama was the West selection 111-30 over LSU. Arkansas was picked by 23 writers.
Take these results with a grain of salt. The sportswriters have picked the winner correctly just four times since SEC expansion in 1992.
This fact does not seem to have escaped Alabama coach Nick Saban.
“Well, it means nothing bascially,” Saban said of his team being the overwhleming favorite win the league. “We have a lot of challenges to face. We’re just interested in playing to our capabilities. I’m not a prognosticator. I can’t do that. I don’t understand how y’all do it.”

And I meant to say UK as the last home game as one we might lose as well. I hate the arduous typing on an iPhone.
But to whoever was dogging the state of South Carolina, give me a break. Columbia may be a dump but so is most of Atlanta. After Atlanta our next gem is… Columbus? Valdosta? That tiny little island called St Simons with its miniscule beach? Have you ever been to Lake Keeowe? Hilton Head? Or better yet Charleston??? Like girls? Head to king street. Just don’t wear big red shirts with a giant G. Those girls are a bit high class, well off and gorgeous. I mean everywhere you look it’s just hot girls. Sorry, I’ve never seen any town or college town with that many pretty girls in the state of Georgia and I married a Georgia girl.

TTT, tell me where I’m wrong? You really think UGA will win it all?!?! Or 10 wins? 9? 8? 6? 4? What number? Put a number out. I say 5, maybe 6. We’re going to start 0-2 and be 2-6 after UT.
But 6 is good enough right?

Uga 2002 – Time for you and your wife’s next dental appointment.
How are the braces working, have they closed the gaps between
your two front teeth? Also, tell your wife we have a new procedure
to help her with her halitosis. See you soon.

I think I will just curl up in a fetal position and die
Richt is still our coach
We went 6-7 last year
Our QB never beat anyone
We lost to UCF
We have no running backs
We have no OL
We have no WR
Our DC is an idiot
Our fanbase is a bunch of GED toting rednecks
We haven’t won a national title since Moses was in the 3rd grade
Erk is dead
UGA is dead
We play the greatest team in the history of college football opening week
We don’t have a prayer
