You could scalp a ticket for less than $34.95 for that game, which I may be doing if I don’t watch it on PPV.

To paraphrase a semi-famous Dooley quote (regarding Vanderbilt), “Coastal Carolina is going to pose a great challenge for us. They have one of the finest long snappers in the country.”

$34.95? UGA Athletics is a ‘money pit’ for supporters and fans!

As I recall…..Dawg fans were really ripping the Gators for scheduling and playing Coastal a couple of years ago. Florida had to play them because S. Florida backed out of playing the Gators at the last moment. What is Georgia’s excuse for playing them……to recover from the Boise and SC games. You better hope it is a recovery and not a lynching for Coach Richt.

Gators play Furman, UAB and Florida Atlantic this year and Tampa Gator wants to talk smack about schedules.

@ Tampa Gator: Which team are you looking forward to playing more this year, Florida Atlantic or Furman? When was the last time Florida opened the season on the road vs. a Top 20 team? Or opened against a Top 10 team?

The South Carolina game should be a night game. That would have worked to our advantage, as Sanford is ELECTRIC at night. Plus…last year we didn’t have a freaking home night game til the end of NOVEMBER! I froze my ass off!

Indian Dawg – I agree, plus I would have been able to go had it been at night. Now I’m missing the game for a family function! And, have to miss CC due to business.

Sweet, another midday game. These are the worst. I think UGA should schedule every game for 6:30pm or later, then let the cavalier broadcast companies have to schedule around UGA if they want to show the game not the other way around….and Tampa Gator…sorry I got nothing, you live in Tampa and probably paint houses on meth, so instead, I guess I am saying hang in there buddy.

The reason we can’t schedule that SC game at night is because they still can’t crack down on all the 19 year old kids throwing trash everywhere. Do you remember North Quad Landfill 09? Embarrasing. I was smack in the middle of it and was miserable. Last year, everyone went to South campus and destroyed Meyers quad during the Tech game…We won’t have any night games till they can keep the trash out.

A 1pm day game: 4$ bottles of water, too few 15 year olds selling them, and an empty stadium by half– can’t wait.

How much will UGA make on pay-for-view for this game? And, how much better would it be for us season ticket holders, alumni, and true fans if we were playing Ohio State, Notre Dame, Clemson, Texas, Boston College, Nebraska, or even Virginia than this div 2 school? Am I the only one tired of us padding our record against these patsies? Hey McGarity, the football program is for the benefit and source of pride for the alumni, school, and supporters, not to pad a coaches record.

UGA needs games like Costal Carolina to supplement its tough (?) SEC schedule and its always challenging season ending game with the mighty Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.
CPJ will be waiting at the Flats. Dawgs better be ready!!

Wow. I can hardly wait.

Why not at least schedule these crumb bums at about 4 pm so we could at least have some tailgate time? With this, its no tailgate time AND crappy opponent

Vinny D you idiot, the networks choose the starting times..trash has nothing to do with it.

I would rather this be a pay for play game than any of the other games we play this year. I think it will probably be a yawner, but it does get a school like CC some much needed money. It also gives the UGA team, some time to evaluate some of it’s younger kids, and with the first two games of the season being tough ones, it will be a good game to play some of the younger talent and give the starters a much needed break.
Stinger,
No worries about GA. TECH. UGA has much bigger fish to fry than what tech. will be, so I would expect that they worry about tech. about a week before the game takes place. It is hard to get excited about Tech. before that.

@Vinny, we’ll have a night (8pm) game just as soon as ESPN2 picks it up. tailgating and trashing the campus has nothing to do with determing game time, the networks determine that…..

this may be a good game to take young kids but that’s about it…..

redneck ga fans get all liquored up and trash the campus for every game—night or day game. It’s part of the tradition.
