Agreed that we need to utilize Orson Charles more this year. Also hoping that our O-line will be better than expected. Regardless, can’t wait for August!

Orson Charles, King or one of the recruits that’s coming in maybe will get to play early and catch some passes. We have about 12 recievers on the team surely one of them will step up and play good. Replacing Green wont be an easy task, on the up-side maybe the ball will be spread around among several recievers, as far as someone to rely on I’d say Charles will be the man. Figgins at fullback should get some passes thrown his way as well, he’ll be a good target. Can you imagine lining up and having Charles, Arron White, and Figgins to throw to at the same time? To me that would be a QB dream.

Hopefully we have an O line that will give Murray the time he needs to find open receivers this year. While AJ Green could make all the catches and Matt Stafford could make all the throws neither could do it in the manner needed to put wins on the board and both bolted for the NFL early. Again it points to not having an O line. In my eyes Green and Stafford will go down in Bulldog history as two good players who could have been great.

Figgins should be a great weapon, use him! I love the lead block, any of y’all want to have Figgins charging at you?

Yeah, yeah, it’s fun to talk offense and Bobo has not been explosive… but, the Dawgs average points per game has been solid compared to great Dawgs teams of the past. The DEFENSE however….
We will not win consistently until our secondary quits playing 10 yards off the receivers, giving up easy out routs and chunks of yardage. Grantham needs to think one single word and all that it connotes
JUNKYARD, JUNKYARD JUNKYARD
Five or six red jerseys pounding the ball carrier on every play. Do that and we win.
It Ain't Rocket Science

I think the play of the big ulgies on both sides of the ball, hold the key to how UGA does this year. I think we have the skill players to compete, but we have to give the offense time to perform the plays and get set up. If the O line can hold up, the offense will have the green light. Our D Line, if it can control the line of scrimmage and put pressure on the QB, gives our backfield a chance to stay with the WR’s since their time to break free will be a lot less. If the RB, is always losing a step ot two because the D line is in quickly and has a wall for him to get through, forces the play to the outside and I think we have the LB’s and safeties to control the play then. There will still be some fair gains by guys like Lattimore and Richardson because they are terrific at their position and physical specimens, but the point of attack is a key point. If you hit a guy 2 yards off the line of scrimmage versus making contact five yards farther down field, your chances of having big gains off of a run are a lot better. I think, in the early going, the D will have to control the game and allow the O to get jelled as a team and then UGA will be good. There just isn’t anything better than experience to lead you to success.
Good interview by the way, Chip. You did yourself proud.

Next AJ, hope there isn’t one, but
Malcom Mitchell will play the entire season and career,
and make everyone forget about AJ.
Can’t cover him and he is explosive. If he had gone
to Florida he would make the Gators forget Percy Harvin.

The Georgia Dome will be rocking Sept 3rd. I expect an epic butt whooping for Boise St.

Nobody is talking about Ken Malcome… I know that he ended up 4th on the depth chart after the spring, but i believe it was because he was banged up the whole time. He showed flashes in the G-day game that lead me to believe that he could be a serious smash mouth runner. He kind of reminded me of Musa Smith. I know that the backfield is a serious issue, but with Crowell’s elusiveness Malcom’s power and King’s all around versatiliy we should be solid in the running game. As long as bobo doesn’t hand the ball off up the middle to thomas and smith that is.

Drop the defense PPG allowed from 22 to 14 or 15 and no one will complain about the offense and UGA will win the SEC East.

Great, here is what the mission needs to be. Win every game. Start with the first one and get the team ready to play football. This is UGA, time to be UGA! McGarity and company are coming out here for a show this week. I hope this mission gets taken back with them.

So the question was: who will be the next guy that didn’t play half the time before leaving early?
I’d rather discuss who the next Terrance Edwards will be.
