Washaun Ealey has found a home.
Jacksonville State football coach Jack Crowe announced on Thursday that Ealey has enrolled in classes there and will compete for the Gamecocks this fall.
Ealey, a rising junior, was the Bulldogs’ leading rusher last year. He was granted an unconditional release by UGA coach Mark Richt after the two reached a “mutual decision” Ealey would be better off continuing his football career elsewhere.
Ealey was one of two SEC transfers to join the I-AA program this summer. Linebacker Clarence Jackson is coming to Jacksonville State from Ole Miss.
“Both of these players are experienced SEC players,” Crowe said. “We expect both of them to come in and make an immediate impact on our team.”
played in 21 games for Georgia with nine starts during his two seasons with the Bulldogs. He rushed for 1,528 yards and 14 touchdowns, including 811 yards and 11 touchdowns in 12 games as a sophomore.

Tre….Not sure I understand the logic of Ealey going from a 4yr school to a 4yr school only to go back to a 4yr school??? Cam Newton went from a 4yr school to a 2yr school then back to a 4yr school because the 2yr school didn’t offer a 4yr degree…Jax State does, so Ealey won’t be leaving after year 1.
Red….Walter Payton went to Jackson State University in Mississippi. Not the same JSU…But you’re right about 2 greatest players!!!

Ealey wouldn’t have started and would have a hard time staying in the top three on the depth chart. He has no heart and hands of stone. I won’t miss the critical fumbles that cost us at least two games last year. Having said that, best of luck to jim at Jax State. Maybe Crowe can light a fire under his @ss.

Ealey will be a lot better with a QB that’s cool under pressure. Murray cracks under pressure, poor on 3rd down, red zone, 4th quarter, and 0-6 vs. winning teams. Without Murray’s 7 to’s against Fla/UCRF, Ealey would have probably decided to give Richt another chance.

WASHAUN EALEY SCORED 2X MORE TD’S THAN THE REST OF GEORGIA BACKS COMBINED. TERRIFIC BACK. WILL REALLY MISS LOSING THE 31 TOUCHDOWN SCORER ON THE TEAM. AJ SCORED 9 TOUCHDOWNS, EALEY HAD 11.

Well see just how good Washout is when they play Kentucky on 10/22 without the blockers he had at UGA. Then again JSUs 0-line may not be as bad as our o-line.

We;ll see how good Aaron Murray does against Boise & South Carolina without safety blankets AJ/Durham/Ealey.
so far, murray’s 0 & 6 against winning teams.
maybe murray will get his 1st significant win in 2011.
too funny.
