I’ll take the Black team to win.

From first glance, I’d say the black team will be favored in vegas.

black is definitely better on paper. I dont like seeing Christian LeMay and Aaron Murray on the same team.

Black team looks like the better team overall. Red team has better O-line and WR’s. Black defense will be dominate.

Hutson Mason lights up the 5-9 to 5-11 DB on the Black team for 180 yrs and a win. Ealey and King both fumble away TD scoring drives.

So, who was chosen first/last? Do some legwork!

i guess tech fans have to read our articles b/c no one cares to write articles about their teams

I hope this looks more organized than last year.

CMR set up the process so that no one will ever know who was picked first/last so as to preserve team chemistry. Black team looks real good on paper, but that’s why they play the game! It is pretty obvious that a QB/DB picked the black team and a OL/LB picked the red team.

I couldn’t help spin some volcano erupting words for you Dawg fans out there…… here are some retile-causing nightmare names for the Georgia offense (better practice well, Dawgs):

Ronald Powell – DE/OLB………monster spring
Larentee McCray – DE/OLB……half a step behind Powell…barely
Chris Martin – DE……very talented redshirt frosh transfer from Cal
William Green – DE……solid spring…will he be this year?
Dominque Easley – NG……unstoppable first step and bull power…along with unbelieveable lateral movement and pursuit this spring
Omar Hunter – NG…..lost all that weight, replaced it with muscle and desire…and finally played up to his potential this spring
Sharieff Floyd – DT…….very strong, fast, powerful….and might become the best DT in the SEC…this year…as a true soph.
Jaye Howard – DT…nearly all-SEC in ‘10…will be the back up for Floyd in ‘11. Wow!
Jelani Jenkins -WSOLB…..a WOW of a spring…bigger and even faster.
Joe Bostic – Mike LB…..really developed bigtime this spring.
Janoris Jenkins – CB….All-SEC for sure….and possible all pro next year in the NFL if he stays out of nightclubs.
Jeremy Brown – CB……fully “back” from his serious back injury …….and a potential all-SEC corner…this year.
Cody Riggs – CB… backup corner and one of the best nickel corners in the SEC
Matt Elam – SS…..made play after play in the spring….and is easily replacing the great, Ahmad Black, at SS.
Joshua Evans or Joshua Shaw – FS (who is better….is the only question)….but both are a lot better than Will Hill….if not in ability…..for sure in skill and intelligence.

Problem is…..John Brantley remains the Gator QB….and that might be a nightmare….once again….that the Gator O can’t overcome….sure looked like that in the spring game…..but…..he was facing the Gator D.

Get over the fumbles already! Even pro players fumble! Go Dawgs!!!

Can’t recall this type of selection being done anywhere before. Kind of strange but I would suspect the players will be fired up about which team will win…..especially the captains who made the picks.

Tampa Gator, you still have a rookie coach, and no QB, Gator days are over so take your swamp lizard rear back into your doubke wide!

When will the Dawgs day start? I guess you live in a cardboard box because you bet your trailer on the UFC game. 6-7 and didn’t beat a team with a winning record. Didn’t Richt do OK as a Rookie Coach?

April 12th, 2011
6:08 pm

lets see…..Red wins 10-6…..ealey fumbles….king gets cramps and cant play……Oline….same story…different year……

honestly, I dont see us doi’n much next year.we don’t pay enough players.

April 12th, 2011
6:11 pm

I say Black wins 10-6. Ealey and King have 5 fumbles. OLine is…well the OLine…nuff said……Neither side is really into the game…..sort of like the bowl game….remember???

April 12th, 2011
6:12 pm

Wait….Drew Bulter kicks a field goal as time expires capitalizing on another Caleb King fumble….Red wins 3-0.

Troll Power Ratings

April 12th, 2011
6:12 pm

Have to commend the trolls who are really showing their colors (pink and yellow) by showing up early (actually first) and often. It should be quite a contest to see who can walk away with the coveted Thread Troll Award. Thanks so much for caring.

April 12th, 2011
6:13 pm

Good job on being “first” to answer your own question.

April 12th, 2011
6:15 pm

lets find a way to get Caleb and Ealey in the backfield at the same time…..we need a good laugh to make up for last years mess…..have a fumble contest…..

April 12th, 2011
6:17 pm

I think CMR needs to put a cut out replica of Crowell on the sidelines. Seems he is able to get ealey and Calebs attention….maybe they can play and not get hurt or fumble……well, then again….

April 12th, 2011
6:18 pm

dont freak out about the game. it’s not gonna be any better than last years’s season was. the real stuff won’t happen until crowell comes and murray sees a few more games. the defense should be better tho

April 12th, 2011

Derrick Lott needs to go to OT..I appreciate Longo and Trinton being involved..Need info on Greg Mulkey?

April 12th, 2011

I guarantee you the team WITHOUT MURRAY will win. Remember last G-Day? Murray chokes in big games or pressure situations. Remember Florida? Remember UCF?

Mason, King, King, Jarvis, Robinson, Rambo?

Red team wins.

prediction: more injuries than points scored.

April 12th, 2011

Murrauy goes 5-20, throws 2 interceptions, no td’s, just like last year.

April 12th, 2011

Looks more Organized???
It’s a scrimmage. It looks like a scrimmage. Most of the other teams (spring game) I have seen have thier coaches walking around on the field, stopping plays and spoting the ball to thier liking.
This is one of the few I have seen that even pretends to look like an actual contest.

April 12th, 2011
6:43 pm

Doug, turn around and ask Lance if he concurs.

Just wondering again why all the UF, GT, AUB, ALA, etc fans are commenting on a UGA blog? If we are so awful then why bother? I have NEVER commented on a blog for another team. I couldn”t care less what happens anywhere else other than UGA.

you can't fix stupid

April 12th, 2011

@bucket … try visiting a GT blog just ONCE and you’ll see why. Idiots abound, most of them claiming to be Uga fans. Nice try at establishing some sort of peace, but we both know its impossible.

Looking forward to it! I wonder how many snaps LeMay will get behind Murray on the black team.

Tim, do you know the exact role that Longo and Sturdivant will be playing in the game? It’s nice to see their names on the rosters.

Go Dawgs!!

April 12th, 2011
9:18 pm

Lemay only got 2 snaps last game, but since he got over 30 yards a play and a td, Richt will reward him will probably half the snaps. Richt’s a fair guy after all.

Wow, Did you all get a load of all the 300+ guys we have along the lines? Did we have that many last year? The new S+C program is putting on weight. I hope it is also putting on endurance and muscle.

We have beef on the lines!

S&C didn’t do it. We recruited 5 lineman over 300 and a sixth at 295. By the way; keep an eye on Lucid red. I wached him play at Jefferson. This kid is the real deal.

April 13th, 2011

I thought last year’s 5 td’s by Mettenberger over 3 Spring games, wouldn’t be equaled for a long time.

I was wrong.

Hutson Mason is at 5 td’s after 2 Spring games, and if he has a good G-Day td wise, has a very real shot at owning the best Spring of any QB in UGA history.

April 13th, 2011
10:09 am

how many spring INTs for Mason?

April 13th, 2011
10:42 am

Doesn’t look like much of an O-line on the Black team. Not sayin the D-line of the Red team seems all that intimidating either but with Jarvis, Robinson, Rambo, Commings all mixing it up — Aaron better be ready to scramble.
