Georgia has promoted director of football operations Josh Brooks to assistant athletic director of internal operations.
In his new job, Brooks, 30, will assume many of the duties previously handled by Arthur Johnson, who recently resigned as associate athletic director/internal operations to take a job at Texas.
Brooks just completed his first year as football operations director after serving two years as the assistant director.
To replace Brooks as director of football operations, Georgia coach Mark Richt promoted Brad Hutcherson, who had been a graduate assistant.
Georgia athletic director Greg McGarity also amended the titles of a number of athletics department officials, although their duties remain largely the same as before.
Title changes include: Carla Williams from senior associate athletic director/senior women’s sports administrator to executive associate athletic director; Claude Felton from associate AD/sports communications to senior associate AD; Glada Horvat from assistant AD/academics and eligibility to senior associate AD; Eric Baumgartner from assistant AD/compliance to associate AD; Ted White from director of academic services to associate AD; Tim Cearley from ticket operations director to assistant AD; and Ron Courson from director of sports medicine to assistant AD.

Didn’t we have enough of this looking after our own when Goff was the coach. Bobo, McLendon, Brown, McGarity. What ELSE do the coaches have to offer except what GA has had in the past. We need an expert in the weight program. We need a well rounded experienced OC. and we need a Running Back coach who has had experience as a running back coach not a receiver. This is almost like a little town culture. Look after your own and not reach out to other experienced coaches.

I am right, I didn’t know this was a spelling test??? LOL. Here’s something else I’m right about TECH SUX – Stephen Tuitt- smart move. Next comment Jack A.. You guy’s really crack me up I was being nice to you flea’s / bugs / splatter on my windshield when I didnt’ mention we run this state or 9 of 10 or my favorite score in 2002 GA 51 – Yech 7. But hey they’re just memories right? Just like the memories form the past two seasons right?
You should still be at the bar with a team like that LOL – BTW how’s your basketball team this year?

IT’s odd how Saban & Petrino have 7 year contracts, Muschamp & Chizit have 5 year contracts, yet Richt only has a tiny 3 year contract.
Well genius (lmao) Richt was given a contract extension in 2006 that expires in 2013.
You must be a yellow maggot since intelligience is not one of your better qualities.

you have to be the worst statistician ever. the fact that you are sitting “at a bar” or “on” your bar of soap is completely evident. Thomas Brown was pound for pound strongest guy ever at UGA. His job doesn’t require him to tudor spanish class or run a gel electrophoresis… He is a motivator, strength coach. He obviously has proven both.

Police Blotter—-Alabama brushes them all under the rug and you know that, why don’t you lay off the UGA blog and figure out how to quit blowing 24 point leads in your home stadium….oops what’s that, Scam Newton scored again. The party is over at BAMA, you know it!!!! Are there any players in your state to recruit? I wonder why Kirby and Nick Satan cant stay out of Georgia to recruit?? Maybe because it smells like a Wal-Mart over there. Is Mike Shula still available, Mike Price maybe??

Theses are all nothing but cosmetic changes — putting a dress on a pig.
Meanwhile, the real problem, CMR and lack of coaching up and motivation, goes unchanged.
UGA is starting to remind me of the Braves– try to work miracles with duct tape and bailing wire while ignoring the real needs.

Bama snoozed
January 24th, 2011
4:12 pm
After Bear, Bama took a long snooze for years and years and over two or three decades. Stallings finnaly won a MNC in 92? and then another Bama snooze, up until 09. They are not going to win the West in 2011, as LSU will own them.
Saban will not hang around year after year after year chasing LSU and UGA and AU and maybe Florida. He will bolt. Count on it. Bama under Nick is toast. He is a wannderlust guy. Y’all knew that when you hired him. He bores easily. Who would not in Tuscaloosa?
These things run in cycles and over nearly 20 years Bama has won two NCs. That record is nice. Great. It will not ever, ever be like it was with the Bear in the late 60s and into the 70s. No way. Y’all have won big and now ………………another 10-15 yr. snooze.
LSU will rule the West. All the rest are pretenders. If you look at the UGA and Alabama head to head over the last 20-25 years, UGA has done quite nicely. The 08 blowout was horrific in Athens but not as horrific as that beating Bama took vs Utah State in the Sugar Bowl that year and to LA-Monroe and to N Illinois and to Hawaii. Y’all were humiliated.
Bama is being DOMINATED right now in recruiting anyway, by AU. It will be their turn or LSU’s for awhile in the West. Count on it Bama.

More gimmicks? Fire him. Let him take a house at Sea Island for a few months to reflect and meditate. He can afford it several times over.
What I can’t afford is another year of foolishness and the girliefans that enable it.

Haha, Georgia fans, rather than being truly embarrassed of their off-season arrests, has conspiracy theories about how Bama cops don’t arrest players.
As much as I hate Bama, I have to admit those players know that it is a privilege to be playing there. Georgia’s kids just don’t have that respect for the program or the game. And it’s because they make their college choice with the splendid image of a fat redneck with a bulldog painted on his head in their mind.

Nothing changes the fact that Mike Bobo is calling the plays, and as that continues we will still struggle with offensive production.
