The University of Georgia this morning put on sale several hundred tickets to the Nov. 27 Georgia-Georgia Tech football game in Sanford Stadium — and by this afternoon they were all gone.
The tickets sold today had originally been put aside for television partners and non-football recruiting purposes.
The Bulldogs, who are off this week, will enter the Tech game with a 5-6 record, while the Yellow Jackets, who play Duke on Saturday, will bring a 6-5 or 5-6 record to Athens.
The game will be Georgia’s 63rd consecutive sellout, a streak that covers 10 seasons.
Kickoff is scheduled for 7:45 p.m. on Nov. 27. The game will be televised by ESPN.

No! Not on campus but off campus or leaving Campus late at night. Atlanta PD does a crappy job of Serving and Protecting the off campus students.
I guess it must be nice in Athens to have the ACC PD because UGA students get arrested all the time. You should feel safe in Athens as long as you don’t break the law or have a UGA sticker on your car.

You football fans are wasting your time. None of you played college football. Tech fans at least went to the school. UGA Fans went to satellite campus or got their GED, no crack on UGA as a school fact of the matter every redneck construction worker in Atlanta is a UGA fan. This is such a pointless debate. Why don’t you stop worrying about college football and do something a little more productive. A-holes

You guys are full of it. I was scared to death my first game at tech. You fans are just as foul mouthed as any other fans, plus you get on your stupid jumbotron and scream To Hell With Georgia, yes that shows a whole lot of class right there. You even have kids saying it. CLASSY! You all never sell out a game without the help of the other team. Georgia sells out their games in 5-5 year WITHOUT the help of the other team. So please get over yourselves you NERDS!

@SimpleDawg – Your name says it all. If you bother to read the posts here, it has already been established that these tickets were not from Tech. GA Tech already sold out of their allotment. For proof, go to the Tech web site and see for yourself.
But then again, when has truth or the facts ever stopped a doggie from spouting nonsense?

Do UGA girls get a Chastity Belt when they are admitted? Hell no! Any DAWG that sniffs that a.. can have a shot. Never marry a female UGA Student because it will be like throwing a Hotdog down a hallway. Date a UGA girl(wrap that thing) just don’t marry one.

Hey, Dawg1 @ 11:40: See, I can spot the UGA grads every time. “I’m a Dawg and I promise you that I make more in a year then most of you clowns will make in three. Get a little tired of the ’supriority’ you try to bring to the table. It bogus.” You should use THAN instead of THEN. The word is spelled SUPERIORITY, and you should have used It’s instead of It. In fact, the overall sentence structure and grammar you use is just a pathetic wreck. Just how much did you pay the guy in the alley for your UGA degree, or are you one of these “Dawgs” who have never set foot in the bloody school?
Let me say this, also: any school who had Jim Harrick and his son should NEVER complain again about bad basketball teams or cheating.

Please understand…. no Tech fan argues that the stadium in Athens is larger than ours.
Please understand…. no Tech fan argues that there are more uga fans and you sell more tickets than us.
That is not in dispute. And, no Tech fan is bothered at all by those truths. In fact, we really don’t care at all about those! It seems that ony uga fans spout this as if it means anything at all concerning the actual football team wins and losses.
A real Tech fan is happy about our team winning…. and also when the uga team loses. That’s it!

Come on and cool it with the robbery jokes guys. I’m a UGA grad but got a kid at Tech. The robberies and danger to the lives of those kids is no laughing matter.
As far as football, what a shocker that tickets became available to watch two barely mediocre teams play. I’m sure both schools will have their allotment of obnoxious drunk fans in attendance.
Hope the dawgs beat the jackets (sorry son…this is football).

The vitriol here is disturbing. Both our teams underwhelmed this year. But much to this Techie’s chagrin, UGA is finishing pretty strong. A night game in Athens you have to win to get to a bowl? Yeah, this is going to be ugly. Dawgs roll.
And Tech didn’t sell out its allotment because, why would we? I enjoyed going to Athens as a student, but with a family now? I’d never subject my wife or daughter to that kind of environment. College football fans rarely agree on anything, but there is a reason every SEC and ACC school agrees that the most obnoxious and most delusional fanbase of them all is the one in Athens, GA.
