Dogs practice without Murray; SEC won’t suspend Fairley

Quarterback Aaron Murray didn’t practice Tuesday as Georgia began preparations for its regular-season finale against Georgia Tech. Murray is listed as “day-to-day” with a bruised knee and a bruised sternum, both suffered in last Saturday’s loss at Auburn.

In related news, the SEC said Tuesday that it has decided not to suspend Auburn defensive tackle Nick Fairley for his controversial hits on Murray. The league plans to handle the matter “internally” with the school.

One hit in particular — a late, helmet-to-the-back blow for which Fairley drew a  penalty in the third quarter –- has drawn much scrutiny this week.

Georgia’s open date clearly comes at a good time for the battered Murray.  The Tech game is on Nov. 27 in Athens.

Coach Mark Richt told the Touchdown Club of Atlanta on Monday, “We think by game time he’ll be able to play.” Richt later said on his radio call-in show, “There is no guarantee he will play in the game, but we’re thinking there’s a good chance he will.”

Tuesday’s practice was closed to the media, and no players or coaches were available for interviews afterward. Georgia said in a news release that Murray did not practice.

“Practice today was a start” in preparing for Tech’s option offense, Richt said in the release. “It’s always tough to simulate their offense. The better job the scout team does, the better chance we have. It wasn’t anything to write home about, but it was a start.”

Love the guys posting that UGA is 5-6 and sucks….

Really…couldn’t figure that one out on my own…

Yeah…and taking out a QB’s knee, chin-raking him with helmet, and spearing to the back…not really a big deal…even though those are dirty plays, as a UGA fan, I should probably not say anything…because Auburn fans seem to think that winning gives them the right to tell us to shut up….

Ummmm. No. See, since we lost, I don’t have anything better to talk about. We may not even go to a bowl, so for the next 361 days all we are gonna do every time we see an Auburn fan is bit$h about that punk-a$$ thug Fairley and the rest of your dirty team…

Any you should pray to God that Cam didn’t do anything wrong…because if he gets in trouble we are NEVER going to shut up…because we lost…and you won…So even though its been a while, quit being little bit4hes and understand that because you won and won dirty, you are NEVER going to hear the end of it. Of course you have the ultimate comeback….scoreboard.

Ahhh. But seriously…Love you Auburn fans…always had a good time at your stadium…just HATE losing to you.

“The times have a changed. Just about every hit he had on Murray would have earned him a huge fine in the NFL nowadays.”

And how many many Georgia players would the NFL suspend for stepping one foot on the field while inching closer to a team brawl? Sit all 20 something of them for the Tech game, eh?

OK Auburn fans. I know you’ve been ignoring the allegations, but it’s as simple as this: When Cam’s father asked for money from Miss. State, which he has admitted and Miss. State has confirmed that he did, Cam became ineligible to play for any team in any sport. So smack talk all you want, but I got the mother of all smackdowns for yall: You are playing with an ineligible player. Your season is fake and has no merit. I don’t think it could get any worse than that.
—–
You know what happens when you assume… Dawg?

49-31. Even if your dream came true guess what the score is, 49-31. A L for UGA, be proud, you earned it. Except Murray. Give that kid some credit. He played hard despite the fact that I kicked his *** up and down that field.

Now back to Cam. Isn’t it odd the FBI is involved? Seems odd, unless that story about the FBI investigating multiple schools is true and Auburn is, get this, wait for it, not one of them but Kenny Rogers is a big part of it.

I talked to Cam, I asked him what happened in MSU. He said this:

o Cam Newton And Cecil – “I really like MSU and Dan Mullen”
Kenny Rogers- “Hmmm…after talking to this kid and his family, I think there is money to be made here. Since Im an MSU grad, and I really cant take it anywhere else, I’ll take it there. Slam Dunk. He’s going there anyways.”
Kenny Rogers to friend and fellow MSU grad John Bond – “Its gonna take money to get him here. Whaddya say?!”
John Bond – “ummm. Ok. Ill see”
John Bond to MSU – “They want $ ?”
MSU – “What? We don’t pay for players”
MSU- “This is kind of F**Ked. We are reporting it next year after we make sure we don’t get a violations for it.”
MSU to Cecil Newton- “Your friend Kenny told us about the offer. No Thanks”
Cecil Newton – “WTF are you talking about?”
MSU – “$”
Cecil Newton – “This is un holy. I don’t want any part of this…Son you are going to Auburn where you’ll be able to play for a good team, contend for the SEC and maybe win the Heisman and National Championship.”
Cam – “OK”
THE END

I don’t understand. Sell a jersey and get 4 games. Lay out a qb
with a blind hit that could have possibly put this young man in
a wheelchair for life, and the SEC chooses to handle the matter
internally with Auburn? Wonder how the SEC is REALLY handling
CAMGATE?

The Auburn compliance officer is a former lead Investigator for the NCAA. This means his allowing Cam to play means they have no evidence against him ..read my lips..”to this point”. May change, but probably not this year anyway..

SEC rules state that a player leaving a bench during a fight is to be
suspended for the next game. Thirty two Georgia players left the bench
and where on the field. Silve needs to enforce all rules strictly.
That might help our favorite friends the GEORGIA TECH YELLOW JACKETS.

Hey Bama, according to Aubies, it’s perfectly legal to hit a QB long after he releases the ball, wrap him up, and drive him to the ground with your helmet under his chin. So I’d like to see the Bama defense doing this, as well as going after Scam Newton’s knees. It’s all good with Auburn. ROOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLL Tide!!!!!!!!!!! Bury Auburn. Beddy bye time…will just leave you with the words of Benjamin Franklin Belue

“Football is a tough, physical, emotional game. Mean dudes play it…like Nick Fairley.

This guy has a take no prisoners approach. He’s bringing it. Do I think that was a cheap shot he took against Murray, when he hit his knee down low? No, I don’t. Look at the the replay again. Fairley is already low to the ground, getting pushed by the ‘Dogs OL…and then, he finishes with the blow to the leg. Could he have bailed out? Don’t think so. His momentum was moving forward. Was this a deliberate attempt to hurt Murray. Don’t think so.
I played with a guy that lived on the edge too. Eddie “Meat Cleaver” Weaver. He was mean and intimidating, just like Fairley. QB’s knew Weaver was going to bring it. Same way with Fairley. I”l end it with this: If you don’t want to get hit, go play tennis.”

Harold- Well, people say they need to block him, but how can anyone say that when he hit him late several times. The line shouldn’t have to hold him forever. They seemed to be holding him, but of course when you hit the QB late…the play should’ve been over at that point, & so it shouldn’t have been the O-Lineman’s resposibility to still be blocking him at that point.
