The football game between Georgia and Georgia Tech in Athens on Nov. 27 will kick off at 7:45 p.m. and be televised on ESPN, it was announced Monday.
The game will be Georgia’s first — and only — this season to be played in Sanford Stadium at night. The Bulldogs’ previous five home games started in the noon hour. Also, this will mark the first time a Georgia-Georgia Tech game has been played in Athens at night, UGA confirmed.
Georgia, which doesn’t play this week, will enter the game with a 5-6 record. Tech will be 6-5 or 5-6, depending on Saturday’s game against Duke.
ESPN picked up the Tech-Georgia game after CBS, which has first choice among games in SEC stadiums, chose LSU-Arkansas for its 3:30 p.m. telecast on Nov. 27.

So Durham & Barnhart
Just said on the radio that the SEC will not Suspend ANY UGA player that broke the rules in the Fight and Rushing the Field during the Auburn v UGA game.
The SEC is a JOKE. They make rules and don’t even act like they matter.
UGA quit whinning about AUBRUN breaking the RULES and going after your QB unless you want Most of your starting O and most of your starting D to have to sit the TECH game. You had too many players break the rules rushing the field.
UGA fans will love the TECH game. It kicks at 7:45 on ESPN. Thank God I don’t go to Athens anymore. All the DRUNK UGA fans are the worst. Don’t even think there is another SEC teams fans that are as CLASSLESS as DRUNK DAWGS.

Still@theBAR – Thanks for the update. No players suspended. Rules, what rules? UGA has no right to complain about breaking rules. The school should enforce the rule if the SEC will not.

Tech is concentrating on Duke right now. They know they are going to get blown out in Athens. I’ll give Tech the slight edge over Duke since they’ll be playing at home in front of 20,000 screaming twinks dressed up like bee’s.

All you Tech fans can keep saying you’re going to beat us but without Nesbitt to run your pathetic offense, how do you expect to win? Your team is just as bad (or worse) than UGA so quit saying you’re gonna roll over us. If anything, the score will be 9-7 because that’s how both teams are playing.

RICH,
YOU COULD SUSPEND EVERY STARTER ON THE UGA TEAM THIS YEAR AND TECH STILL WOULDN’T HAVE A PRAYER. I’M SURE GA TECH WOULD JUST SIT THERE IF SOMEONE TOOK A DIRTY HIT ON NESBITT! KEEP IN MIND PAUL JOHNSON SUGGESTED TO SLAP GA FANS IN FACE JUST FOR TALKING SMACK. HOW CLASSY IS THAT?

The Auburn beat down left a bad taste in the Doggies mouth simply because they got a taste of their own medicine for a change. Dirty play, personal fouls and their whole team going on the field to fight. Is it any wonder they’ve had 11 arrests this season?
As for the game on 11/27, talk about the meaningless game of the year. Tech will most likely be 6-5 after beating Duke and be bowl eligible. They will be playing to knock UGA out of bowl eligibility. UGA meanwhile will be playing to become bowl eligible for another exciting trip to some other place that makes Shreveport look like a 5 star resort….yawn!
