Game time, TV set for Georgia-Auburn

Georgia’s Nov. 13 football game at Auburn will kick off at 3:30 p.m. and be nationally televised on CBS, the network said today.

Georgia has won its past four games against Auburn, but the Tigers, led by Heisman Trophy-contending quarterback Cam Newton, are 9-0 and ranked No. 2 in this week’s BCS standings. Georgia is 4-5.

Auburn’s ranking and record are obviously attractive to CBS. The network, which has the top choice of SEC games each week, chose Auburn-Georgia over the Nov. 13 South Carolina-Florida game, which figures to be for the East’s berth in the SEC championship game.  South Carolina-Florida will start at 7:15 p.m. on either ESPN or ESPN2.

Verne Lundquist and Gary Danielson will call Georgia-Auburn for CBS, along with sideline reporter Tracy Wolfson.

The game will be Georgia’s second of the season in the 3:30 p.m. ET window on CBS. The first was last Saturday’s 34-31 overtime loss to Florida in Jacksonville.

Both Georgia and Auburn play FCS (formerly Division I-AA) opponents this week — Idaho State and Chattanooga, respectively.

The Georgia-Auburn series is the most-played — and perhaps most competitive — in SEC history. The teams have played 113 times, with Auburn leading the series 53-52-8.

Dogs are improving weekly, and have been in every game. Man this is some good Kool Aid, they say it has zero calories.
Winning out is nice goal though.

I just can’t wait to see the reaction from Auburn fans when they lose to either both UGA and Bama or just Bama. Oh so close to getting to the big dance but it won’t happen! When was the last time Auburn won it all? Ha ha ha. How many times has Auburn even been to the SEC Championship? Ha. One man team. Will be funny when UGA shuts Fig Newton down.

Mississippi State’s Chris Relf: 109 yards and a 5.5 average per carry vs Georgia. Season high.

Colorado’s Tyler Hansen: 51 yards, a 5.1 average per carry and a TD vs. Georgia. Season high.

Florida’s Trey Burton, 110 yards, a 6.5 average per carry and 2 TDs vs. Georgia. Season high.

Current season highs for Cam Newton are: 217 yards, 11.4 per carry and 4 TDs.

The Bulldogs will defeat Auburn. Worst thing that could happen. Will ensure return of Mark Wretch! Another gusranteed season of utter ineptitude. Will pave way for Alabama to repeat as national champions. One Southern team which will not choke on big stage. That said…

The Aaron Murray post All Hallows Eve resume. CAUTION: It is indeed scary:

LOUISIANA LAFAYETTE SCHOOL FOR GIRLS: Second coming of Johnny Unitas. Wonder why!

SOUTH CAROLINA: Disaster Part 1.

ARKANSAS: Disaster Part 2.

MISSISSIPPI STATE: Worse Disaster Part 1.

COLORADO: Even Worse Disaster Part 1.

TENNESSEE SCHOOL OF BLIND: Passable. Ho hum.

VANDERBILT TOUCH FOOTBALL CLUB: Superb. Yawn.

KENTUCKY: Rode defense coattails.

FLORIDA: Utilimate Disaster Multiple Times Over.

That Durham kid is tough and should be QB. Murray is soft, clueless and untalented. Spare me the youth bullshet! Many young QBs are doing quite well thank you. Not at my beloved university. Damnit! STENDEK

Look on the bright side mutts…with this being an away game there will be less of a chance your fans will do something to humiliate your team…or is it your school…who cares…they both suck. One can only wonder what your sorry so called fans would do if at halftime Auburn is up by 3 TD’s….Oh wait a minute…we already know what they would do…because they have done it before. Good thing players wear helmets…you never know what a dawg fan will throw at their own team. What a miserable lot you mutt fans are.

Florida Dawg Fan, We’ve had 2 games on 92.5 FM, the first one and the game with FL. The rest I catch on 630 AM from Savannah (day games) or 750 AM from Atlanta (night).

I ALWAYS turn down the TV sound and listen to the radio broadcasts. The fun part is that, due to multiple satellite hops/delay devices, the TV is almost always seconds behind the radio so you know from the radio what you’re about to see on TV. It’s like getting 2 instant replays!

I also happen to like our radio team. You KNOW the guys in the both bleed red and black and our new sideline guy gives actual game information instead of homespun off-topic anecdotes or comments that state the obvious. Sure beats what you hear on TV by miles.

Its all coaching…funny how Auburn was barely a mediocre team last year. Get one player, who’s good…but not great…who helps raise his to top 3 in nation.

UGA has much better talent, but does so little with it all compared to other schools.

Alright, has anyone actually watched Auburn play? They get ridiculed for their D, but their D is actually very good except in the secondary. But they’ve won every game. They beat the snot out of QBs, their monsters up front. A team with a weak secondary and strong D-line is better than the other way. if you can’t run you have to pass and if you can’t pass because you’re running around for life and every time you get hits you want to leave the stadium then you’re going to have significant problems. Advantage Auburn.

Cam Newton, advantage Auburn in more ways than one. He gets a lot of attention which is leaving the #1 RB recruit Dyer and that fast kid free to run 70 yard td’s or at the least massive 8-15 yard runs. You don’t know if Newton will hand it off to the guy running to the flat, pass it, run up the middle like a massive massive power back, run around the opposite edge or sort of run it and then pass it. You cannot load the box. You have to cover man for man out there and then that leaves Newton to kill you.

So what that means is Auburn has more talent in more positions than UGA. They’re loaded and we’re lucky for years we’ve had their number because they lacked a QB. That’s it. Now they’ve gotten one and yes their D is not what it normally is but where it matters their D is scary.

I predict this will look the same as Ole Miss and Auburn. Everyone saying it will be close, the final score showing it never was even close and we’re lucky of Aaron Murray still remembers his social security number by the end of the game. I doubt it.

I’m sure the UGA coaches will be dreaming up a bunch of schemes for Auburn to catch them off guard but something tells me they’re going to spend more time talking about Grantham and coming apart at the seams.

Game is over in the 2nd quarter, Auburn wins and heads to one hell of an Iron Bowl and I’m glad I’m not one of those two teams.

Also, Auburn’s O-line is all seniors and is very good. There is more than meets the eyes and don’t look back to the beginning of the season and think that’s the same team. This is a team peaking. UGA is not even if we win 87-3 this weekend. The UF team we lost to sucks. They were not #2 in the country.

Auburn is. They beat three teams already that we lost to. OPEN YOUR EYES DAWG FANS AND GET READY FOR THE NEW NORMAL IF WE KEEP RICHT BECAUSE HE’S A DAWG! ROOF! ROOF! ROOF!. GMAB.

Fall on either of the two fumbles instead of trying to run with them and we win. Selfish play shows it’s ugly head yet again. Florida played 3 different QBs and beat us.

We are facing a bigger, faster, better passer version of Tebow. We are screwed.

Richt could make a strong argument that he is turning the program around with a solid upset against Auburn.
But it’s just not in the cards.

Auburn has the best Offense we will have faced this season (that includes Arkansas) and will put 50 points on the board.
