Georgia’s Oct. 23 football game at Kentucky will start at 7:30 p.m., the SEC said today.
The game will be televised regionally on Comcast/Charter Sports Southeast (CSS).
In other news from the SEC office today, UGA quarterback Aaron Murray was named the league’s Freshman Player of the Week for his performance in Saturday’s victory over Tennessee. Murray accounted for four touchdowns in the game, passing for two and running for two. He completed 17 of 25 passes for 266 yards.
He is the first Georgia player to receive a weekly honor from the SEC this season.

borderdawg,
You can park in the neighborhood right across from the stadium and avoid the parking lot and the price $$$. When you are going to the stadium, get on Tates Creek and turn into the subdivision before Alumni Drive. the stadium is directly off of Alumni Drive and you can only park in the paid lots from there. There is a huge water tower to the left of the stadium that sits next to the neighborhood I am talking about. You will see cars in there parked on the street.
The walk is not bad at all to the stadium

I have DirecTV. I ordered the sports pack at the beginning of the season. It’s $12.99/month, but sometimes they will give you a discount if you keep it for 3 months. Either way, that’s cheaper than one day’s worth of ESPN Gameplan. Here’s the link that lists the CSS channels on DirecTV – http://www.directv.com/DTVAPP/content/sports/sports_pack?footernavtype=-1

We received our “first” award from the SEC this year? That’s not true. We decisively won the Fulmer Cup this year and we have broken our own arrest record this year with 11 arrests. Come on SEC, give us some love!

Go Canes,
1. the very fact that you are hanging out on a UGA blog shows that we are more relevant than you. Doubt you will find any Dawg fans on a Canes blog.
2. Yeah we lost to those teams and the fact you know it proves how obsessed you are with all things UGA.
Why is that? Sounds like you are suffering from peni$ envy?
Now again little boy, run along.

ESPN Midseason Overview
http://espn.go.com/blog/ncfnation/tag/_/name/2010-midseason-overview
“Biggest disappointment: Georgia
Even though the Bulldogs wrestled out from under their four-game losing streak last week with a 41-14 win against Tennessee, they’ve still woefully underachieved this season. Redshirt freshman quarterback Aaron Murray has been one of the bright spots. He sure isn’t the reason Georgia’s 2-4 heading into the second half of the season. It’s more an offensive line that hasn’t lived up to its billing, critical fumbles by the running backs and a defense that has given up way too many big plays.”

And the immature bulldog loser that stole my blog name, georgia was not in every game that they lost, 17-6 to south carolina is not close and 24-12 to hold on MISSISSIPPI STATE is not close at all, hell colorado almost blew you guys out

Ok Go Canes I tried to be nice but here’s some FACTS for you to digest. And for goodnes sakes TRY to think before you respond, and TRY to come up with something more creative than “UGA sucks” or “you suck” or “you’re a loser” that is if you’re older than 6.
1. True anyone can come on this blog just as I COULD go on a Canes blog, but why would I, I’m a Dawg fan and don’t really care about the Canes. BTW the title of THIS blog which is in the UGA SPORTS section is: “Georgia-Kentucky game time set; SEC honors Murray”, but don’t let that get in your way.
2. Miss St or the “cupcake” as you call them could probably beat most teams in the ACC. Heck, last year mediocre UGA and SC teams beat your conference division champions (Clemson & GT) last year, and last I checked it’s been a while since an ACC team has beaten a SEC team in football.
3. the mighty canes got beat by Ohio St who is 0-9 all time vs the SEC, and you got BLOWN OUT 45-17 to an FSU team that got BLOWN OUT by Oklahoma 47-17.The rest of Mighty Noles’ wins have come against:
SAMford, 2-4 BYU, 2-4 Wake, and 2-3 Virginia.
But don’t let the facts get in your way.

It may be shown on an alternate feed in the DirecTV Sports Pack. If you have the ESPN GamePlan for the SEC I think the blackouts (as a part of the new TV deal) are waived except for PPV only games.

You know Go Canes considering both schools aren’t living up to expectations this is really a pointless argument.
Now I will root for both teams to wind up in the Gator Bowl so we can see who the better team is. For the sake of your sanity you’d better hope that doesn’t happen!

bigdawg 8–hutson mason is our no 2 quarterback and while he is not another murray, he is certainly better than gray. mason needs more playing time for experience. why didn’t cmr play him in the 4th qtr against ut? what will happen if murray gets hurt and misses a game(s). man, i hope that doesn’t happen but if it does, mason can lead us better than gray—but only if he gets more playing time.

I know we are irrelevant in football but we did real well in the late 80’s and early 2000. We actually use to win conference titles. I know we haven’t done that in like 10 years but we are getting better. And I also know winning the ACC Chipper is like being the fastest turtle!
This is big time UGA football.

Just to clarify Caleb’s arrest all speeding tickets have court appearances you can just pay the fine instead of appearing. if you don’t pay then you are charged with failure to appear. Not quite as bad as stalking threatening to kill, passed out drunk at red lights, breaking into impound yards, firing AK 47s, using dead persons credit card, choking women etc., Washington Stae’s players just arrested for haing 38 pot plants in their house. GA players tend to get arrested for traffice violations overlooked or not reported in other states. there was report out of FL that Urban’s players had 250 traffic violations.

You Tech fans who keep repeating “45-42″ like a mantra enjoy yourselves all you want. The thing is… UGA alumni and fans have lives that don’t depend entirely on what a bunch of kids does on Saturday afternoons. College sports are fun to follow, but the biggest reason for going to college is to get an education.
Tech fans don’t seem to care about anything but football, and they don’t care if their players are enrolled in silly majors that no parents who are paying the bills would send their kids to Tech for. The very few football and basketball players who graduate have no job opportunities and end up unemployed or working in menial jobs that hardly require a college degree.
UGA is a real school with serious academic standards, and that includes scholarshipped athletes. Tech has a long history of being a nerd school, where parents send their kids to get picked on by bullies, even if the degree itself is practically worthless.
Jan Kemp exposed the crap going on at UGA with athletes being enrolled in courses a ten-year-old kid could pass. That was a good thing in the long run as it caused UGA to improve their academics. Tech was placed on NCAA probation for academic violations in 2005 and still has not improved.
The bottom line is that most UGA fans have very good jobs and productive lives that don’t depend on UGA’s football record for their happiness in life. It is great to beat Tech every year, but when you put scholar-athletes up against nerds, it’s usually no contest.
It’s pretty pathetic to see Tech fans who typically have never been within miles of a college classroom and who live or die with Tech’s weekly results on the football field.
So keep on posting your “45-42″ all you want, especially since you’re home with plenty of time on your hands. I wish you well, maybe you’ll get lucky and get your old job back at the Waffle House before your unemployment checks stop coming.
