A couple of injury updates:
Georgia expects to be without cornerback-punt returner Branden Smith for Saturday’s game against Tennessee in Sanford Stadium.
Smith suffered a concussion in the first half of the Colorado game, his second in the past three weeks.
“I don’t think he’ll play” this week,” coach Mark Richt said Sunday.
Also, Richt said freshman linebacker T.J. Stripling, who left the Colorado game with a knee injury, will undergo surgery this week to repair a torn patellar tendon.
Richt said Stripling won’t play again this season but should make a full recovery. Stripling has been playing on special teams.

Are you suggesting we vote for Foghorn Leghorn, er, I mean Roy Barnes? That would be like UGA re-hiring Ray Goff…

The same people that kept Ray Goof around for 7 years will vote for Natha Deal as well. They just love mediocrity!

You mutts missed your best chance when you didn’t elevate Richt to AD when Damon Evans went on his dawg mission. You have to think ahead. You guys are abandoning ship after it has already sunk.

We have a person, street name Gman, who claims to have graduated from UGA. Since graduates of that fine institution are such a rare commodity, we have our 11Aliveonyourside investigative team oon the way to verify this claim.

Write in Richt for governor. If he wins he’ll be too busy to coach at UGA anymore.

I’M SICK AND TIRED OF ALL THE WHINING AND CRYING FROM THE FAIR WEATHER FANS! EITHER THEY ARE CLOSET TECHIES OR NOT REALLY MEMBERS OF THE DAWG NATION. MY TICKETS ARE TOO EXPENSIVE… THE GAME TIMES ARE TOO EARLY OR TOO LATE… WHAAAAAAAAAAA……WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAA… CRY ME A RIVER YOU WANNABES (OR GO JUMP IN ONE)!
WHAT WE (THE REAL DAWG NATION) NEED TO DO IS SHUT THE H#!! UP AN ROOT OUR DAWGS ON EVEN HARDER! DEMAND EXCELLENCE AND ROOT FOR THE DAWGS THE WHOLE WAY THROUGH! LEAVING THE STANDS IN THE 3RD QUARTER IS EMBARRASSING AND INEXCUSIBLE. IF THE TEAM LEFT THE FIELD EVERYTIME YOU SAT DOWN HOW WOULD YOU FEEL?
NOW I AM NOT ADVOCATING FOR BEING A BUNCH OF SHEEP, BUT CMR KNOWS WE ARE P!$$#D OFF AND HE KNOWS THAT HEADS MUST ROLL. HE HASN’T FORGOTTEN HOW TO COACH, BUT EVIDENTLY SOME OF YOU HAVE FORGOTTEN WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A DAWG…
NOW GRIT YOUR TEETH, LICK YOUR WOUNDS AND TEAR INTO TO ANYTHING THAT COMES OUR WAY THAT EVEN SMELLS LIKE OUR NEXT OPPONENT! ATTITUDE IS THE ONLY THING WE NEED TO RIGHT THIS SHIP AND THAT COMES FROM UNLEASHING THE INNER JUNK YARD DAWG!!!

Lets not forget this one thing. Fans are the reason we are able to pay high coaches salaries. I see on these many blogs where fans are told to suck it up and quit belly aching. I have been a season ticket holder for 26 years.I cant begine to even count the amount of money I have spent on UGA merchandise and memorabilla. My family works for UGA.If I want to give my opinion on how bad this rpogram is or how bad our coaching staff is,I have earned that right. I love my Dawgs but I will in no way shape or form support what is going on at this time.Enough is enough.Im not going back to the Goff years I had to go thru.

A question, Bulldawg fans: Why did so many DC’s turn down the job before TG (an assistant on a pro team) finally accept. Is it possible that the top college DC’s know something about Uga’s staff that made them unwilling to come here? Maybe they already knew what everyone else is finally seeing for themselves this year?

I heard our coach on the radio while I was at lunch. It was the same old blather about how they tried hard, played hard and did some good things. When is he going to come out and say, “This is unacceptable and we are working to make some changes?” He is doing nothing to indicate he knows how teed off everyone is.

I guess Richt is protecting the players and doesn’t want to come down on them in the media when he says things like that. It’s the PC thing to do.

When King broke for a long gain, they showed the replay, and it was Sturdivant that blocked the DE that freed the back for a long gain. That play reminded me how it use to be with UGA. I remember during Stafford’s time how Surdivant use to protect his blindside. If Murray had Sturdivant to cover his blindside in the Arkansas game instead of Ealey, then the 3rd and four might have been different. I know he was trying to make it back from injury, but that shows the quality of player UGA needs on their team. And if a recruit says he won’t honor his commitment to UGA because there may be a coaching change, then I say don’t let the door hit you on your way out! You should be committed to the University, not the coach. You will show your loyalty to the team anyway by leaving early to the NFL! And yes I attended the University of Georgia.

I understand the coach doesn’t want to pile on the players in public. But grow some nads and show some fire for a change. Sure, they played hard and tried hard, but it was obviously not quite hard enough. At least 2 points less not hard enought.

Ed, do you remember how much mileage Ga. Tech use get by almost beating Miami or almost beating Notre Dame. You can say how good or how hard they played, but until they win, it is all for nil. They do not rank your team based on how hard they played.

39-18 after 2005 season through today.
# 2 Fulmer Cup after 2005 season through today.
Does THAT sound great Buck Belue ?
.
.
This for the # 11 All-Time Football Program in 1-A wins.
This is instead # 22 team in Wins for 2005 2006 2007 2008 2009 2010
.
.
Only 3 states have more high school recruits go on to NFL than Georgia
Why are we then # 22 in wins for : 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 ?
.
.
Let’s break down 91-31
10 losses to teams not Top 25 Final AP Poll
21 losses 17 wins vs Top 25 Final AP Poll
These are your 31 LOSSES.
.
.
3 wins 8 losses vs Top 10 Final AP Poll teams
All 3 of those wins came in years lost 4 games, 3 games and 4 games.
Never beat Top 10 Final AP Poll team any year didn’t lose 4 or 3 games
How damn great is that Buck Belue ?
Buck Belue, sorry son, but we didn’t beat great teams 2002 or 2007.
I listened to your radio show Buck Belue.
I heard you say it’s not Coach Richt’s fault that SEC was down 2002
2002 only 1 other SEC team Top 25 Final Coaches’ Poll, Auburn # 14.
That’s why played # 24 Final AP Poll 5-Loss FSU Sugar Bowl 2002
Too bad Buck Belue. These are the facts.
2007 lost to 6-6 no bowl game South Carolina and lousy vols 2007.
That’s why played # 19 Final AP Poll (Hawaii) in Sugar Bowl 2007
Coach Richt has NOT had a great year where he beat 1 single great team.
NOT.
Get over it Buck Belue.
.
.
When CMR fires Mike Bobo & Offensive Staff, will have fired every 1 of his coaches
Unless of course you think Rodney Garner deserves to keep his job Buck Belue ?
How good is CMR at hiring a coaching staff if HE fires all his coaches in 10 months

I love how other schools feel it is necessary, to get on here and try to bum out the top athletic and academic Schools from the SEC. Are the jealous or what?? Maybe they should check out the SEC Academic Network? http://www.secdigitalnetwork.com/SECU.aspx
