A couple of injury updates:
Georgia expects to be without cornerback-punt returner Branden Smith for Saturday’s game against Tennessee in Sanford Stadium.
Smith suffered a concussion in the first half of the Colorado game, his second in the past three weeks.
“I don’t think he’ll play” this week,” coach Mark Richt said Sunday.
Also, Richt said freshman linebacker T.J. Stripling, who left the Colorado game with a knee injury, will undergo surgery this week to repair a torn patellar tendon.
Richt said Stripling won’t play again this season but should make a full recovery. Stripling has been playing on special teams.

The Bottom line is Richt stays and Bozo leaves. Richt’s comment,.. that was are most basic running play! No kidding. Colorado knew that, that’s why there was so much pressure. Typical Bozo call.

It’s kind of sad to see all the Dawg fans getting so excited this year (just like the year before, the year before that, etc.). How long is it going to take for UGA fans to realize that UGA is simply no longer relevant in the SEC? In the national picture, UGA isn’t even a blip on the radar, and hasn’t been since the preseason #1 ranking two years ago.
Sit back and be grateful for the seven or eight wins you’ll get every year. Coaching genius Mark Richt may take you to 8-4 or even 9-3 occasionally, but Florida will still win the SEC, meaning no BCS bowls and no top 10 final ranking. Most years, UGA will be very lucky to finish in the top 25, and only after a big bowl win over a nobody opponent.
It’s a different world now, and Dawg fans need to adjust their expectations downward to reflect reality.
Unfortunately nothing is going to change until UGA changes its mediocre coaching. That’s where the difference is, and that’s why everyone outside Dawgtard Nation just laughs at Dawg fans getting so excited year after year about what a great recruiting class UGA gets. It doesn’t matter how many blue chip high school players go to UGA, they simply don’t get the coaching they would get at Florida or Alabama, to name two schools whose programs are far ahead of UGA. And that’s not going to change as long as Mark Richt is in Athens.
Get your heads out of the sand and face reality. And mediocrity and irrelevance. And red panties.

Offensive linemen not pleased in second half
Vlachos put the blame squarely on the shoulders of the front.
“In the second half, we did absolutely nothing on offense. I’m glad our defense came to play for 60 minutes because it sure didn’t look like our offense did. Hats off to them for the way they played tonight,” Vlachos said.
“You’re always happy when you beat a team like them, (ranked) in the top 10, 31-6, but I’m not happy with how we played the whole game. We’ve got a lot of room for improvement.”

Two things: One, the Dawgs are so undisciplined, everyone knows about the 10 arrests and Richt chooses to look the other way but now some guy (#25 on defense) can get three personal foul flags in the same game and even commit the penal that allowed CU to score the winning TD. I guess Richt never felt it necessary to fix that behavior. Second, AJ is the entire team. Who knew that all this time, Richt was not recruiting any other playmakers. Guys, you don’t face 1-4 under a coach that is in his 10th season without sanctions. Such shame that Richt turned out to be nothing more than a nice guy who would rather be your friend than your coach.

Snoop Dawg says that Gainesville Dawg andJed Clampet are the problems in the Bulldawg Nation. They think that by apologizing for our sorry coaching staff and Gangsta Thugs’ behavior that this is true blue. Au contraire! Hillary Clinton was a codependent, and so are these fossils.
True Dawgs call a spade a spade and demand excellence on the field. The entire coaching staff is a joke. They have totally ruined our football program. They need to exit stage left asap.
These Apologists talk about what a righteous man Mark Richt is. OK, let’s see. He can read in his Bible that a man must earn his pay. Richt has not earned the 3.5million dollars that Water Girl is counting and accounting for him every day. If he were really what he claims to be–a righteous man with honor– he would acknowledge how he has wrecked our Dawg Nation, he would admit that he is a coaching fraud, an imposter, and he would resign.
Any takers that this slickster will resign? No, we will have to pay him off in order for him to leave our program in shambles while he and the Water Girl head for the border with about 20 million dollars of UGA’s money.

Why in the world do you people think some great “Vince Lombardi” is gonna drop out of the sky and lead UGA to Glory is beyond me. Face it fans UGA does’nt have the sucessful history of most other programs, and please don’t bring up some past history of how great UGA has been. Nobodys gonna read it.

Dawg Tard,
what is sad is how often you get on UGA blogs and take the time to write extensively about UGA football. Wonder why you hate UGA so badly. Were you denied admission? Are you a Tech geek who was rejected by a UGA girl? Are you an Alabama redneck who feels inferior to Georgians? Just cannot figure out why someone is so obsessed with writing on UGA blogs. Yes we are down now, and have been for a year, but it simply is not true that we have always been irrelevent. And yes, Alabama has great coaching now but they were very down just a few years ago. By the way, I am a graduate of both Alabama and UGA and I’ll take UGA with a loosing team anyday of the week over attending Alabama with a winning team. I don’t know anyone in the state of Georgia who would choose to go to Alabama if they could get into UGA. I have been a UGA fan for over 50 years and have seen enough football to know that no one stays up forever.

Oldbut Know, did you know that UGA has the 7th most lifetime wins of all NCAA teams? There are six programs with more wins than UGA. Yes, Bama is one, but Tenn and Fla are not. We can attract the very best, not just the assistants with UGA mafia ties.
We may or may not find our dream coach immediately, but we are burning daylight sitting here watching the Bulldawg Nation implode. If the next guy doesn’t get results, we’ll fire him too.
The best way to get something done is to begin.
We begin by getting rid of da Preacha Man Markt Wrecked and his entourage of clowns.
Either climb on board or step aside… If you don’t get on board I’ll be sorry, sorry for you….

UGA has no chance to win any remaining games unless the defense learns how to stop the other team. All these missed assignments are getting old and if they can’t get the job done, put somebody else into the game. The RBs have got to learn how to hold onto the ball. We need to recruit better RBs, WRs and OL that really want to play. Richt needs to let Grantham do his thing, because the defense should be way better than they are at this point.

Overrated Offensive line

Inexperienced defensive backfield

Wow, Derek Dooley’s first win will be over Georgia. Guess you could say it is one of the final nails in Mark Richt’s coffin. And no Mark, I’m not one of the “vocal types.” I am a Hartman donor and season ticket holder for the last decade. And if major changes are made to my liking, my donation and season ticket buying is ending. So you go ahead and stay the course doing the same stuff and expecting a different result. Sits well with the rest of the crazies who actually believe Georgia is a major power in college football.

Any Dawg fan who thinks CMR must go, is not a loyal Dawg fan. The best way to run away a top shelf class of recruits who will make the program better is to insist the program should be blown apart only to start over.
There is more to it than flipping a switch. Give the new coaches time to build a program and support the team 100%.
We need to contribute in positive ways and be positive about the program if we are interested in building a great team. Good HS players want to be the building blocks of a positive and improving football team. Under the best circumstances It will take a full season to rebuild a strong attacking defense. Willie Martinez is gone, but I would suspect the ghost of his prevent defense still lingers. A new DC can’t reverse that multi-year way of thinking in just 4 games. Type B players cannot instantly become Type A players overnight, if at all.
Blowing it up and starting over is not an option at this time. We have a good coach in CMR and he deserves a chance to get the ship in an upright position, especially since the crew is new and must be given the chance to learn how to work together.
Don’t run away prospective top shelf HS players by being a complainer, even if you were born to do that. If you were born that way, stick a sock in your mouth while the program tries to get back on its feet.
It will take some time to exorcise the Ghost of Willie and reverse that ‘PREVENT’ mentality.
