Georgia will put 1,200 tickets to its Oct. 16 home football game against Vanderbilt on sale to the general public at 9 a.m. Friday.
The tickets were returned by Vanderbilt from its 2,800-seat allotment for the game.
The tickets are $50 each.
Also, Georgia has about 900 tickets remaining for the Nov. 6 game against Idaho State from the 2,000 that Idaho State returned two weeks ago. Those tickets are $45 each.
Tickets for both games can be ordered online (www.georgiadogs.com) or by phone (1-877-542-1231).
Georgia’s next home game, Oct. 9 vs. Tennessee, will be the Bulldogs’ 60th consecutive sellout at Sanford Stadium – every home game since Mark Richt became coach. The last Georgia home game not to sell out was the Nov. 25, 2000, game against Georgia Tech.

1. Vandy will give you a game
2. They will graduate on time, be employed and become your boss…no, your boss’s boss’s boss.
3. They know it’s illegal to drive without a license
4. Haven’t ready any arrest stories about them lately
5. They are already in the SEC win column.

The good thing about this year is all the fair weather fans will get off the bus. Season tickets since 1977 and counting….

Yellow Fuzz, haven’t the Yellow Jackets already lost to the nonexistent powerhouses of Kansas and NC State? And for the UGA fans, you could very easily be 3-1 if A.J. Green was playing in your first 4 games. Thats what I hate about UGA fans, the world is coming to an end and everyone needs to be fired after a 3 game stretch. Shut the hell up and realize that changing out coaches every yr doesn’t and never will work. Show some GD loyalty to the man that has made you an actual program again after the late 80’s and 90’s.

Yellow Fuzz, you mean like the humble pie of losing to Kansas, who lost to North Dakota State the week before, or getting blown out at home to NC State in front of 48,000 fans, or the humble pie from losing to a sorry UGA team on November 27???? You sure talk a lot of smack for middle of the pack ACC program…..Big East, Big 12, Big 10, PAC 10, WAC, Mountain West, SEC, Sunbelt > ACC…….save it for November, loser…

Kansas playing “over their heads” is still a Division II performance lil guy. Just take your asian roommate’s *ock out of your mouth, leave your dorm room computer, and maybe go have a conversation with the opposite sex. Maybe once you have experienced a woman and your balls finally drop you will be able to intelligently discuss football.

Sorry for leaving the board for work. Yellow Fuzz- Comeback involve creative thought or witty retorts so I will say yours was lacking. I can’t eat humble pie if my view point has never changed. I’m a Dawg fan thru thick and thin and will always support the University of Georgia. I would love for UGA to wine every game every year and I am disappointed when they don’t. But I still enjoy going to sold-out Sanford Stadium every chance I get. Go Dawgs

It’s very sad that two storied football programs like Tech and UGA have suffered and lost to inferior teams this season. It’s going to take a lot of tough devotion and hard decisions to each to get the programs going in the right direction again. Both have quality athletes, so it’s obviously a coaching problem. The question then is whether either or neither of the schools will have the guts to make necessary changes.

Still time for all the pessimist to climb aboard the bandwagon. I see a dawg backed into a corner right now. Look for dawgs to roll Ralphie and Co this weekend and gain some much needed momentum to head back into SEC play against Vandy, Tenn and KY. Good chance Dawgs will take a 5 – 3 record into Jax this year. 9 – 3 is still a real possiblity with cakewalks over the Potato State and Nerdville; toss up against the War Eagle and a probable loss against the Gator (but who knows? Maybe this is the Dawgs year).

Are there REALLY Tech fans on here talking crap? Really? The same Tech team who never sells out their high school stadium unless they are playing FSU, Clemson, or UGA and that’s only because half of the people there are not pulling for Tech. If any of you morons think the tickets that Vandy returned won’t be sold I feel sorry for you. As bad as UGA is, we know they will still beat the little bees!
I think you might want to hold your tongue on that! Both teams are doing bad this year, and neither team has the room to talk!

Well too bad Dawg fans cuz I will be there. I got family coming into town from Los Angeles and we have always wanted to see a game “Between the Hedges”. You country jackholes have no idea how stupid most of you sound on this blog. You have a rich tradition of football and because of a couple of incidents that always happen at big time programs you are going to scramble like roaches when the lights come on??Nice. Yes i am not a UGA diehard but I am a football fan so me and my family will gladly accept those fifty dollar tickets to get a live college football experience.

All of you fine, fair-weather BullDawg (not) fans, please leave your (choose one): worthless, useless, unwanted tickets to the Vandy game at Will Call for me and the rest of us faithful fans and alumns who support the UGA TEAM, even when it’s down. Especially you season ticket holders who just can’t stand the thought of driving from all the way from Commerce to see the Dogs lose another one. Since you already know the outcome, you may as well leave game tickets for the few us obviously too delirious to know any better than to attend.

…and if they continue to schedule weak teams like McGarity suggested in the paper this morning, more and more tickets will be returned. Too bad season ticket holders do not have that option. We have to pay a contribution and then the ticket price to see teams that are weak and will not help us in the overall standings. I would r am idsather see us line up against powerhouses than to play some of the teams we have scheduled now. I am disappointed in McGarity for not wanting to take us in a more national direction.

Who really cares? Georgia continues to schedule weak teams, so they deserve to have empty seats and a fan base that just does not care. These fans wait an entire year in hopes that UGA football will someday return, but get disappointed year, after year.
CMR lost his constituency in September 2008 when Alabama came to down and embarassed the Dogs in front of national television, thus it will be a long time before College Game Day returns to Athens, a very long time.

When you consider that the Dogs have not been competitive since 1982 (PSU), then the fan base either needs to get aggressive with the staff, find another team, or stick with a bunch of losers. Misery does love company, so stop by CMR’s office.

SNOOKIE from the JERSEY SHORE has just signed a deal to be the new UGA VIII. She is perfect because she is DUMB, FAT, UGLY, and DRUNK. She can’t read, write, or wear good clothes and that makes her the perfect fit. The only drawback is she is a female. She is like all UGA girls that don’t care who she “GETS WITH” but unlike the UGA coeds Snookie UGA VIII will be fixed at the UGA VET school.
