Too little too late
September 27th, 20105:38 pm
name says it all. I dislike green very much so now
September 27th, 20105:40 pm
Unless A.J is bringing an offensive line,a running back and 2 corners with him I dont see us winning in Colorado.
September 27th, 20105:53 pm
I have also lost my desire to see Green anymore in a UGA uniform.
September 27th, 20105:56 pm
Please all of you Tech fans get back on your own blog. All Dawgs love AJ, he is a winner through and through. GATA AJ.
September 27th, 20106:26 pm
Green made a mistake. Just because UGA lost 3 games without him doesn’t make him a bad person. We love you AJ! Pick up where you left off in 2009 AJ and lets gets some wins.
September 27th, 20106:43 pm
September 27th, 20106:51 pm
The Dawgs have already shown they stink on ice.
At seasonend let’s see what the record is – especially which teams they won against.
September 27th, 20107:17 pm
We’ll need a lot more than a star receiver to fix the problems with this team, but this fan will take what he can get this season. Welcome back, A.J.
September 27th, 20107:23 pm
WELCOME BACK AJ!!!!!!!! HOPE TO SEE YOU IN RED AND BLACK ANOTHER YEAR!!!!!!
September 27th, 20107:34 pm
I can’t see Georgia bringing anything to this game….they played Ark for a half, USC and MISS St. they just were not there mentally at all. This is a broken and beaten team. See no reason for a change of heart…if they have any heart at all.
September 27th, 20107:35 pm
I meant They played Ark for a QUARTER!
September 27th, 20107:39 pm
Does he go both ways? (I mean how will it help the defense)
September 27th, 20107:58 pm
AJ, you are a world class doof. Go back to South Carolina. I hope you blow out both knees first game in the NFL. You will live in infamy at the UGA.
You betrayed your teammates, your coaches, your fans. All for a little coin. Judas comes to mind.
September 27th, 20107:59 pm
The Dogs will be buried in buffalo dung this time next Sunday… They could not beat a AAAA high school team at this point.
September 27th, 20108:03 pm
Q: Why did AJ Green sell his bowl jersey?
A: He wanted some bigger diamond earrings…
September 27th, 20108:04 pm
Does UGA really give diplomas to people as stupid as AJ Green?
September 27th, 20108:05 pm
I wonder how many of you people posting all of this crap have actually played in regular game of football? GA will right the ship and get things corrected. Do you remember the GOFF era, we let Erk Russell leave when we had a great coach there behind Dooley. Do you remember Donnan and how they looked against all of our rivals. We can not win every game, we are going to have a lean year at times. UF, Bama, LSU, and Auburn better watch out for us sooner than later!
September 27th, 20108:06 pm
Hey Snoop what side are you on? AJ made a mistake. Have you been been smoking some snoop?
September 27th, 20108:08 pm
Great, more apologists… that have played in regular games of football…. yeah….
Yes, Mr Brown, I remember them all and have probably forgotten more than you will ever know. We are at a modern day low right now to include the Goof years.
September 27th, 20108:10 pm
What we need way more than A J Green is someone…anyone…a woman i don’t really care right now. Is someone who can make an ACCURATE evaluation of High School talent. I keep hearing about this boatload of talent our coaches did not develope…who are they?…..where are they?.i will tell where they are 1 at Qb 2 at WR 0 at RB 0 OL 0 at TE 1 at DE 0 at LB 0 at CB 3 players… 3 bonafide SEC warriors…period… believe it or not i love the dawgs i’m just not fooling myself anymore….sigh…
Tim, I beg to differ on portions of your analysis. One of your first comments was, “They failed to do anything offensively.” The UGA game I watched on Saturday produced around 250 yards of offense in the first half. I would have said “the offense failed to produce many points” (fumble at the 1; holding penalty negates TD). I also seem to remember that UGA had ONE offensive possession in the 3rd quarter. Thus, my analysis is that the defense could not get a stop and put us in a position to score. We started on the 13 yard line on the first possession of the game and at least two more times from the 10. Before the season everyone was all excited about getting rid of Willie and the new 3-4 scheme. Well, I see the same players missing the same tackles and leaving receivers so wide open I’m afraid they will catch a cold out there. So, is it coaching; scheme; or personnel? Everyone wants to fire this coach or that coach. Maybe it is like I said in another blog; we are just not that good. I believe murphy may be on to something in his comments. Our line (both sides), has drastically underachieved; our defense can stop no one; and our running backs can’t find a hole if their name was shovel (excepting the almost spectacular run by Thomas on the sprint-draw until the turf monkey got him). Blame the play calling; I blame the execution. All I know is if we do not learn how to block and tackle real fast we may not win another one. Top 10 recruiting class? We can probably say goodbye to most of those recruits as well.
September 27th, 20108:28 pm
Fire Richt!!! Hire Kirby Smart. Championships are won with Defense. Obviously Saban knows something about D. Come home Kirby. Come home!!!
September 27th, 20108:31 pm
I miss the man that David Pollock called” the most intense man I have ever met”this marshmellow version ain’t much fun.The old CMR would have told bobo to get his arse to the press booth and shut up.
September 27th, 20108:45 pm
A.J.–I would sit his you know what on the bench. He did not care about his team! Tired of this crap!
September 27th, 20108:53 pm
I would like for CMR to move up as the AD and to hire NFL savy coaches (Gruden, etc). Any recruit would like to play for NFL experience coaches to get them coached up to the next level where their goal is. Any NFL coach wouldn’t underachieve like we have for years and wouldn’t allow 4 and 5 star recruits in top 10 every year to play to a lower level like we have for years.
September 27th, 20108:56 pm
September 27th, 20108:58 pm
Did I just wake up from a terrible dream….We are the DAWGS and we are 0 and 3. Facing 1 and 4 in the face. We are terrible…Back to back 5 plus loss seasons. Time to start over. Arrests, suspensions, ad removal…Whats next?
September 27th, 20109:02 pm
Although I think he let the team down, I hope for the best when it comes to AJ. I agree with most bloggers in that I really don’t care if he plays or not. It’s hard to believe we need one player so much that his absence cost us three games. That’s BS.
September 27th, 20109:04 pm
AJ pulls a hammie first play.
You heard it here first.
September 27th, 20109:14 pm
BB…..I really do’nt want to start over again unless its with a proven HEAD coach……No more assistants…not even Kirby Smart……But Gruden is interesting and I keep hearing that rumor as well….I also wonder if Jim Harbaugh at Stanford is possible…..just a thought….someone who would take the 4 and 5 star athletes that we know we have and light a fire under their arses…As far as AJ goes, he will force the other team to quit stacking up the box and should give the offence much more flexibility….The defence isnt the problem thus far but the offence is…..
September 27th, 20109:22 pm
My how we soon forget!!!! I guess its all about what have you done for me lately. Everyone has been singing AJ praises for 2yrs, but now everyone wants to blame AJ for everything. That’s not fair. But what is fair is that we need to fire Bobo!!!!! I’m so tired of toss sweep right and toss sweep left. Look guys, we don’t have the power and bruising RB to have a running game. Plus we have a horrible OL and getting worse. Is it just me but our players look small compared to the other sec schools.
Why Georgia Why
September 27th, 20109:24 pm
What really saddens me is the thought that if UGA does pull out a decent win record that people will walk away from the issues that are obvious on this team….last year winning against GT and in a bowl saved the program the need to reevaluate…and NO I don’t believe simply letting Martinez go in any way indicated the program was addressing the root causes of the issue. A little win streak and/or wins against UF or GT will allow the fan base the sense of pride that removes the urgency of addressing the issues. Far be it for me to determine exactly what the issues are, but there should be some serious searching going on to determine the issues and develop a plan. Seriously, I know Richt isn’t the magic man for answers, but I really feel sick listening to “doing the same thing we did when we were winning” (wow, wonder why in the fast developing world of college football the same thing from 5 years ago isn’t working!) and “not sure what we’re going to do til I watch and reflect”. Good gracious, I’m a woman and I can give you a quick breakdown of a few things that deserve focus. On another note, did anyone notice the way we entered the field Saturday? I watched the game on replay and felt like I completely missed the beginning of the end. I hate when anyone says the boys don’t “want it”, but watching that entrance I believe they lack the confidence to “take it” (could this possibly be the result of coaching?). I hate having negatives to spew on the Dawgs, but there are serious issues and I don’t have the answers, but I am sure the million dollar men in Athens should be held accountable to figure them out!
Pope UGA XXIII
September 27th, 20109:38 pm
Give our best to Ralphie when you fly out, guys !
I’m going to take in a game where the team gives a rat’s rear-end
about how they play. Newton vs East Coweta gets my coins this
September 27th, 20109:49 pm
Andy Brown , Although you may be right, I don’t think you should assume that just because someone posts on a blog they have never played football. Truth is, there are a LOT of ex-ball players that aren’t very good at coaching –or knowing the game of football.
I hope you’re right about GA getting it together, and while I agree that you can’t win them all, I do think that paying fans have a right to feel upset & let down. You’ll probably tell me that the players feel worse, butt the truth is most of them don’t seem to feel worse (there are a few exceptions). For the most part these ‘fans’ that complained about Martinez 3+ yrs ago were right. These ‘fans’ that complained about the arrest rate in Athens getting out of control one day, were right. These ‘fans’ that have said Bobo isn’t a very good offensive cord. were right. These ‘fans’ that were worried about Mark Richt’s teams slipping into mediocrity were right. Now you’re gonna tell me these same people are wrong this time?
I hope they are, but I have my doubts. One other thing: When a coach arrives much like Richt did in 2001, and players ‘buy into’ their system, it gives the players something to believe in. When the players stop believing, all you have left is a bunch of players with confidence. At that point it doesn’t matter what Coach tells them in the locker room at half-time. If they stop believing, all hope is gone.
September 27th, 20109:52 pm
BTW…Sould be ‘WITHOUT’ confidence
down and out
September 27th, 201010:23 pm
Well we won’t have to worry about anyone else selling their bowl jersey after this season…unless it’s the Toilet Bowl.
September 27th, 201010:40 pm
Green did not make a mistake. He knew full well that what he did was against the NCAA rules. He thought he would not be caught. Rich should suspend him for the year. Would cost him at least $1million in NFL chips.
DAWG with bag over his head
September 27th, 201010:41 pm
Clevon Little, thanks for your thoughtful comments and insights about what Buck B. refers to as the lunatic fringe (of which I am one). I’m beginning to think Buck and the other blind homers that think CMR should be given years or decades to fix these problems are the real lunatics.
September 27th, 201010:44 pm
Snoop Dawg you are the biggest idiot in the world! You are the epitome of classlessness and your family tree is spelled ass_clown!
Real ACC Champions
September 27th, 201010:47 pm
It’s Bush’s fault!
September 27th, 201011:13 pm
LIke Bobby Bowden says: “Richt is a victim of the what-have-you-done-lately-for-me crowd”…it happens when you win so much…reckon Saban would be having the same success if he stayed at one coaching job more than 3-4 years?…he leaves once the newness wears off…leave the dawgs alone…they will recover and be stronger than ever…
September 27th, 201011:35 pm
It’s Obama’s fault. To much taxes on the Uga’s Mojo.
September 28th, 201012:11 am
I’m with Hmmmmm…
I can’t even stand to look at A.J. Green on the sidelines, with his diamond earring.
We know where he got the money.
The season’s toast anyway, so I’m for kicking A.J.’ s greedy butt off the team.
He really let his teammates and the Bulldog Nation down and I don’t have an ounce of pity for him.
He got what he deserved.
As for the Dawgs with or without A.J. — it’s going to be a long hard pull. This team has major problems, and we all know it starts at the top.
I’m a huge Bulldog fan, but I don’t know if I can stomach another game after the Miss State fiasco.
I haven’t been this bummed about UGA football since the Donnan years.
There better be some changes, soon, or there’s going to be a Bulldog Nation insurrection.
September 28th, 201012:19 am
I am shocked and disgusted at the venom some of you are throwing toward this young kid. I am a 35 year old man. I enjoy georgia football just as much as any of you. Yes he sold a jersey. So what. Put yourself in these athletes shoes. They bring in millions for these schools and aren’t allowed anything in return. Spare me the “free education”. We all know that’s a crock. At least us grown ups do. To actually wish bodily harm to your star player? That is downright embarrassing. Yes I’m disappointed but my life won’t end because some kids lost a football game. if I were a star recruit, I would have to look no further than some of these ignorant comments about a star. So please, if you truly love the dawgs, keep your asinine comments to yourself.
September 28th, 201012:20 am
McGarity needs to put Jim Harbaugh’s number on speed dial.
BTW- I don’t think Kirby Smart or Will Muschamp are the answer. I want a proven HEAD coach. Brian Van Gorder is a much better DC than Smart or Muschamp and he was a disaster has a HC. Smart or Muschamp may be great HCs, or they may not. Let someone else find that out. Then, if they do well bring them home.
September 28th, 201012:22 am
I agree- anyone wishing bad things on AJ should just turn in their UGA fan card and kill themselves. Yes he made a very selfish mistake, but other than that, he has handled himself with nothing but class and is easily our best WR ever.
September 28th, 201012:26 am
..”Yes he sold a jersey. So what.”
I’ll tell you what, Rabid.
It’s illegal. It’s unethical. It’s stupid. It’s greedy.
I expect better of young men who wear the Red and Black.
You should to.
September 28th, 201012:38 am
SatillaDawg – it is not a violation of any law for A.J. to sell his jersey.. You are very ignorant. Snoop Dawg you must be a closet Techie… A.J. did something wrong, no doubt, but we are not perfect – including you. Go vent your blowhard hatred some where else. Real Dawg fans support A.J. and Mark Richt.
September 28th, 201012:39 am
Really the kid screw up, He is paying for it. It’s like no one on here ever made a mistake, you all must be gold spoon babies. Get over it, back off, you all loved the hell out him until this and now you wanted to blame him for everything REALLY!! And wishing that someone get hurt well that’s REALLY dumb as hell. But that will come back to you Snoop Dawg, you not a fan. The problem starts at the top, they need to fix. But I think the fans have now got out of control and these young men are seeing who the real fans and the bandwagon. I have read their comments and I have been one of the fans that stands behind them what ever happens. But being this evil is getting BAD. Maybe some of you should grow up. I bet you would not let someone talk to your kid that way. I damn sure would not, it would be your a@@ if you wish bad on my family. That said I AM AND WILL ALWAYS BE GEORGIA BULLDAWG FAN. I REALLY DON’T CARE WHAT YOU THINK.
So guys know that you have true fans and most of them are on Facebook and other networks.
September 28th, 201012:43 am
rabiddawg well said THANK YOU
September 28th, 20101:07 am
So if Green with his diamond earring and the thUGA Dwags win in Colorado, and nobody else gets arrested this week all is well? Alumni and fans forget the Fulmer Cup and thUGA being a laughing stock – just try to run the table. That says as much about the alumni and fans as it does about the thUGA administration and coaching staff – there is a HUGE problem stinking up Athens and large swaths of the hinter lands.
September 28th, 20101:22 am
Welcome back AJ. The point is we need to do a better job recruiting and coaching. We need to overhaul the offensive staff and he needs to let Grantham be the person he hired. We are not stocked for the 3-4 and we need to recruit players for it. On the offensive side, we need to recruit the physical players for the SEC and not the ones that still need to be in high school. From what I see coming in on the OL, they look timid and need to get into shape, but a new OC and a new OL coach along with a new conditioning coach will solve this problem. Richt ran BVG away with his religious ways for the football field and will do the same with CTG. Rodney Garner is not doing a great job with the DL or with recruiting and it is time for him to go also. It is amazing what the defensive coaches did before they got to UGA and now that don’t seem to be able to coach. Think about it people, Richt needs to let the people do the job on defense that he hired them to do. He was a great OC at Fla. St., he needs to find the right people to put in place on the offensive side and get back to a more physical game. Playing pitty pat in the SEC will have you exactly where we are now,0-3 in the SEC.
Atomic Dawg 22
September 28th, 20101:50 am
I know we have pride for the state of Georgia and certain schools we just dont lose to. But rite now we are evolving as a team Because AJ will not be here next year and we need to know what it feels like not to have a star on the feel now. If marlon brown ever steps up maybe he could put fear in people but i dont see it. I just Isiah Cromwell see how much he can play at UGA. Richt has been to good for us i totally agree BOBO needs to go but weve got to that defense a year to get it. The 3-4 takes a while to get but when u do its over trust me. So people i know its rough on the job the last couple of weeks………hell i live in mississippi and its lterally killing me to be here at this time. WE ARE GEORGIA AND WE NEVER STAY AT THIS POINT. The great Vince Dooley went through this so lets chill out.
gt fan in gator nation
September 28th, 20105:45 am
can i say a beat down at florida and auburn 5 losses in the sec east ain’t gonna cut it.oh i forgot gt is coming to town in late nov.richt gotta go.
September 28th, 20106:53 am
A GREAT DAWG FAN DIED YESTERDAY HIS LAST WORDS WERE WAIT TILL NEXT YEAR
September 28th, 20106:58 am
OK , I’m tired of complaining its not doing any good just for me . So with that said let’s get behind OUR TEAM, WE THE REAL FAN WILL LOVE GEORGIA THROUGH GOOD AND BAD SO MAYBE THE BAD IS BEHIND US. LET’S DO WHAT WE ARE ASKING OUR PLAYERS AND COACHS TO DO IS PULL TOGRTHER AND GET BACK ON THE WINNING SIDE . GO DAWGS ,THIS IS THE FIRST DAY OF THE REST OF OUR SEASON.
September 28th, 20107:00 am
1 ST DAY OF THE REST OF OUR SEASON . GO DAWGS
September 28th, 20107:49 am
What do Vandy and Georgia have in common? They both have interum coaches. Richt to Vandy, somebody else to UGA for next year.
September 28th, 20108:02 am
FloRiDuh, Shut up squealer. You are a very little voice.
September 28th, 20109:31 am
Seriously…all you AJ Haters need to get a freakign life.
But then again I am sure each one of you was a top recruit at your respected position.
Don’t take out your frustration for the poor coaching and team performance on one guy.
September 28th, 20109:39 am
AJ can’t play; he doesn’t have a jersey.
September 28th, 20109:43 am
FloRiDuh, you’re DUH all right…and a weak-kneed apologist. You and georgiagirl should get together and commiserate on how to further game the system.
It may not be illegal to sell a jersey, but it’s darn sure against the rules the kid agreed to play under.
And it’s unethical, selfish, greedy and stupid.
I guess things like that don’t mean much to idiots like you.
Get a life loser.
Georgia football is about higher standards than players selling their jerseys to drug dealers.
September 28th, 201010:11 am
AJ just doesnt get it…..I am utterly disgusted and wish coach richt would have “dismissed” him from the team like the others. Aj thinks he is going to come back to a hero’s welcome….dream on moron. I, like many others would prefer you never wear the UGA uniform again.
September 28th, 201010:16 am
You haters against the Snoop Dawg are also losers. UGA will continue to lose and disgrace our great tradition until the Bulldog Nation rises up and demands better like our neighbors and Florida and Alabama do. Continuing to apologize by support coaches who cannot coach or motivate or enforce standards are enablers to our established losing ways.
Every single player who has been arrested should be kicked off the team, period.
Richt needs to be fired, immediately.
The AD needs to conduct a national seach for an established head coach, not some Jawja mafia insider. The university needs to bring out the checkbook to write the biggest check in the NCAA to hire the very best in the business, not an assistant or coordinator who might or might not be able to perform as the head coach.
Snoop Dawg don’t need womenses or North Carolinians to lecture him about being a true Dawg…
September 28th, 201010:35 am
I usually have some smart-alecky remarks for you Dawgs…but today I’m going to keep it real.
1. For you holier-than-thou types calling him Judas, walk a mile in his shoes. His mom lives just a few miles from me. Let’s just say she isn’t lolling in a McMansion.
2. I’ve made a few mistakes in my life. One almost cost me my life. AJ’s mistake cost him 4 football games. Big difference. If Richt was the coach he thinks he is, he would have got the team to rally around the fact that their best player was out. Result: 1-3. AJ doesn’t play on either line. He didn’t blow any coverages. Doesn’t call plays either.
3. “Richt needs to be fired immediately”. Asinine. Hasn’t had ONE losing season yet. Fulmer wasn’t pushed out until his SECOND failed season, and that wouldn’t have happened if he had not thought himself as being bigger than the program. This season should be what it is, an attention-getter. Give him a year to right the ship.
4. Having posted all the above, if Derek Dooley brings a team with 71 scholarship athletes into Athens and gets the “W”…all bets are off!
September 28th, 201010:39 am
Bring it on Saturday Aj! Tired of all this mess….
September 28th, 20102:53 pm
snoop d., what butt have you been sniffing. Now, is not the time to become a “techie” in nature. You sound no different that a tech fan who has never played a down. Downing our players at this point in the week will do nothing for our program. Yes, I believe that none of the UGA coaches are sleeping well at night since last SAT..Nor, should they, with their performance. I also hope that the players will find some resolve in themselves to represent the University and our state in a much better fashion by playing with some heart and develop a “no quit” on a play mentality that they have yet to show this year. Yes, I will be pulling for the DAWGS this weekend. You, snoop, can continue doing what you do best, which is, to complain.
September 28th, 20102:54 pm
Just a question and maybe its been discussed already, dont know. How did the NCAA find out he sold his jersey, and how did they obtain access to his checking account? Wow that is scary stuff.
September 28th, 20103:08 pm
We need a legit TEAM CAPTAIN!!! A player to step up and get in faces… create a buzz, a mean machine! We need more vocal players to step up on our team.
September 28th, 20103:30 pm
I predict AJ will get his bell rung loud and clear the first couple of routes he runs. When he gets up, the DB will say, “Welcome to Colorado”. Double coverage too. Throw to Tavarres King. He can do the job. One more thing, before the team runs onto the field, every player should be jack slapped really hard to get waked up out of their lazy slumber and reminded to get their heads and arses in the GAME!
September 28th, 20104:31 pm
You guys ripping on AJ cure don’t remember your days as college kids or young adults. He’s admitted he made a mistake, paid back the money and apologized to everyone associated with the program, including fans.
In other words, get a life.
September 28th, 20105:08 pm
If you can’t get the ball to him it doesn’t matter much.

Can we get serious? AJ, HC, OC, BLAME, BLAME. These coaches did not take their jobs to RAISE children. This was suppose to have been done at home by their parents. And here at this time don’t start talking trash about how some players come from poor and broken families. Whatever happened to the Hollywood story of poor ol single mom down on her worn knees cleaning floors so that her poor son can get a college education? Mom may work two jobs today but it’s to raise money to buy booze and drugs. Son is left to fend for himself by joining gangs, buying guns and sharing in mom’s vices.
If their sons are 4 star high school players doesn’t mean that thet’re mental ready for college! A large number of his high school buddies probably came the same type of household that the 4-star monkey did.
UGA needs to be more selective in their choice of players. 4 stars given to hot shot is not as good as a 4-star mother.
