Unless A.J is bringing an offensive line,a running back and 2 corners with him I dont see us winning in Colorado.

I have also lost my desire to see Green anymore in a UGA uniform.

Green made a mistake. Just because UGA lost 3 games without him doesn’t make him a bad person. We love you AJ! Pick up where you left off in 2009 AJ and lets gets some wins.

The Dawgs have already shown they stink on ice.
At seasonend let’s see what the record is – especially which teams they won against.

We’ll need a lot more than a star receiver to fix the problems with this team, but this fan will take what he can get this season. Welcome back, A.J.

I can’t see Georgia bringing anything to this game….they played Ark for a half, USC and MISS St. they just were not there mentally at all. This is a broken and beaten team. See no reason for a change of heart…if they have any heart at all.

AJ, you are a world class doof. Go back to South Carolina. I hope you blow out both knees first game in the NFL. You will live in infamy at the UGA.
You betrayed your teammates, your coaches, your fans. All for a little coin. Judas comes to mind.

I wonder how many of you people posting all of this crap have actually played in regular game of football? GA will right the ship and get things corrected. Do you remember the GOFF era, we let Erk Russell leave when we had a great coach there behind Dooley. Do you remember Donnan and how they looked against all of our rivals. We can not win every game, we are going to have a lean year at times. UF, Bama, LSU, and Auburn better watch out for us sooner than later!

Yes, Mr Brown, I remember them all and have probably forgotten more than you will ever know. We are at a modern day low right now to include the Goof years.

What we need way more than A J Green is someone…anyone…a woman i don’t really care right now. Is someone who can make an ACCURATE evaluation of High School talent. I keep hearing about this boatload of talent our coaches did not develope…who are they?…..where are they?.i will tell where they are 1 at Qb 2 at WR 0 at RB 0 OL 0 at TE 1 at DE 0 at LB 0 at CB 3 players… 3 bonafide SEC warriors…period… believe it or not i love the dawgs i’m just not fooling myself anymore….sigh…

Tim, I beg to differ on portions of your analysis. One of your first comments was, “They failed to do anything offensively.” The UGA game I watched on Saturday produced around 250 yards of offense in the first half. I would have said “the offense failed to produce many points” (fumble at the 1; holding penalty negates TD). I also seem to remember that UGA had ONE offensive possession in the 3rd quarter. Thus, my analysis is that the defense could not get a stop and put us in a position to score. We started on the 13 yard line on the first possession of the game and at least two more times from the 10. Before the season everyone was all excited about getting rid of Willie and the new 3-4 scheme. Well, I see the same players missing the same tackles and leaving receivers so wide open I’m afraid they will catch a cold out there. So, is it coaching; scheme; or personnel? Everyone wants to fire this coach or that coach. Maybe it is like I said in another blog; we are just not that good. I believe murphy may be on to something in his comments. Our line (both sides), has drastically underachieved; our defense can stop no one; and our running backs can’t find a hole if their name was shovel (excepting the almost spectacular run by Thomas on the sprint-draw until the turf monkey got him). Blame the play calling; I blame the execution. All I know is if we do not learn how to block and tackle real fast we may not win another one. Top 10 recruiting class? We can probably say goodbye to most of those recruits as well.

I would like for CMR to move up as the AD and to hire NFL savy coaches (Gruden, etc). Any recruit would like to play for NFL experience coaches to get them coached up to the next level where their goal is. Any NFL coach wouldn’t underachieve like we have for years and wouldn’t allow 4 and 5 star recruits in top 10 every year to play to a lower level like we have for years.

Did I just wake up from a terrible dream….We are the DAWGS and we are 0 and 3. Facing 1 and 4 in the face. We are terrible…Back to back 5 plus loss seasons. Time to start over. Arrests, suspensions, ad removal…Whats next?

Although I think he let the team down, I hope for the best when it comes to AJ. I agree with most bloggers in that I really don’t care if he plays or not. It’s hard to believe we need one player so much that his absence cost us three games. That’s BS.

BB…..I really do’nt want to start over again unless its with a proven HEAD coach……No more assistants…not even Kirby Smart……But Gruden is interesting and I keep hearing that rumor as well….I also wonder if Jim Harbaugh at Stanford is possible…..just a thought….someone who would take the 4 and 5 star athletes that we know we have and light a fire under their arses…As far as AJ goes, he will force the other team to quit stacking up the box and should give the offence much more flexibility….The defence isnt the problem thus far but the offence is…..

My how we soon forget!!!! I guess its all about what have you done for me lately. Everyone has been singing AJ praises for 2yrs, but now everyone wants to blame AJ for everything. That’s not fair. But what is fair is that we need to fire Bobo!!!!! I’m so tired of toss sweep right and toss sweep left. Look guys, we don’t have the power and bruising RB to have a running game. Plus we have a horrible OL and getting worse. Is it just me but our players look small compared to the other sec schools.

Why Georgia Why

What really saddens me is the thought that if UGA does pull out a decent win record that people will walk away from the issues that are obvious on this team….last year winning against GT and in a bowl saved the program the need to reevaluate…and NO I don’t believe simply letting Martinez go in any way indicated the program was addressing the root causes of the issue. A little win streak and/or wins against UF or GT will allow the fan base the sense of pride that removes the urgency of addressing the issues. Far be it for me to determine exactly what the issues are, but there should be some serious searching going on to determine the issues and develop a plan. Seriously, I know Richt isn’t the magic man for answers, but I really feel sick listening to “doing the same thing we did when we were winning” (wow, wonder why in the fast developing world of college football the same thing from 5 years ago isn’t working!) and “not sure what we’re going to do til I watch and reflect”. Good gracious, I’m a woman and I can give you a quick breakdown of a few things that deserve focus. On another note, did anyone notice the way we entered the field Saturday? I watched the game on replay and felt like I completely missed the beginning of the end. I hate when anyone says the boys don’t “want it”, but watching that entrance I believe they lack the confidence to “take it” (could this possibly be the result of coaching?). I hate having negatives to spew on the Dawgs, but there are serious issues and I don’t have the answers, but I am sure the million dollar men in Athens should be held accountable to figure them out!

Andy Brown , Although you may be right, I don’t think you should assume that just because someone posts on a blog they have never played football. Truth is, there are a LOT of ex-ball players that aren’t very good at coaching –or knowing the game of football.
I hope you’re right about GA getting it together, and while I agree that you can’t win them all, I do think that paying fans have a right to feel upset & let down. You’ll probably tell me that the players feel worse, butt the truth is most of them don’t seem to feel worse (there are a few exceptions). For the most part these ‘fans’ that complained about Martinez 3+ yrs ago were right. These ‘fans’ that complained about the arrest rate in Athens getting out of control one day, were right. These ‘fans’ that have said Bobo isn’t a very good offensive cord. were right. These ‘fans’ that were worried about Mark Richt’s teams slipping into mediocrity were right. Now you’re gonna tell me these same people are wrong this time?
I hope they are, but I have my doubts. One other thing: When a coach arrives much like Richt did in 2001, and players ‘buy into’ their system, it gives the players something to believe in. When the players stop believing, all you have left is a bunch of players with confidence. At that point it doesn’t matter what Coach tells them in the locker room at half-time. If they stop believing, all hope is gone.

Green did not make a mistake. He knew full well that what he did was against the NCAA rules. He thought he would not be caught. Rich should suspend him for the year. Would cost him at least $1million in NFL chips.

Clevon Little, thanks for your thoughtful comments and insights about what Buck B. refers to as the lunatic fringe (of which I am one). I’m beginning to think Buck and the other blind homers that think CMR should be given years or decades to fix these problems are the real lunatics.

LIke Bobby Bowden says: “Richt is a victim of the what-have-you-done-lately-for-me crowd”…it happens when you win so much…reckon Saban would be having the same success if he stayed at one coaching job more than 3-4 years?…he leaves once the newness wears off…leave the dawgs alone…they will recover and be stronger than ever…

I’m with Hmmmmm…

I can’t even stand to look at A.J. Green on the sidelines, with his diamond earring.

We know where he got the money.

The season’s toast anyway, so I’m for kicking A.J.’ s greedy butt off the team.

He really let his teammates and the Bulldog Nation down and I don’t have an ounce of pity for him.

He got what he deserved.

As for the Dawgs with or without A.J. — it’s going to be a long hard pull. This team has major problems, and we all know it starts at the top.

I’m a huge Bulldog fan, but I don’t know if I can stomach another game after the Miss State fiasco.

I haven’t been this bummed about UGA football since the Donnan years.

There better be some changes, soon, or there’s going to be a Bulldog Nation insurrection.

I am shocked and disgusted at the venom some of you are throwing toward this young kid. I am a 35 year old man. I enjoy georgia football just as much as any of you. Yes he sold a jersey. So what. Put yourself in these athletes shoes. They bring in millions for these schools and aren’t allowed anything in return. Spare me the “free education”. We all know that’s a crock. At least us grown ups do. To actually wish bodily harm to your star player? That is downright embarrassing. Yes I’m disappointed but my life won’t end because some kids lost a football game. if I were a star recruit, I would have to look no further than some of these ignorant comments about a star. So please, if you truly love the dawgs, keep your asinine comments to yourself.

McGarity needs to put Jim Harbaugh’s number on speed dial.
BTW- I don’t think Kirby Smart or Will Muschamp are the answer. I want a proven HEAD coach. Brian Van Gorder is a much better DC than Smart or Muschamp and he was a disaster has a HC. Smart or Muschamp may be great HCs, or they may not. Let someone else find that out. Then, if they do well bring them home.

I agree- anyone wishing bad things on AJ should just turn in their UGA fan card and kill themselves. Yes he made a very selfish mistake, but other than that, he has handled himself with nothing but class and is easily our best WR ever.

..”Yes he sold a jersey. So what.”

I’ll tell you what, Rabid.

It’s illegal. It’s unethical. It’s stupid. It’s greedy.

You should to.

SatillaDawg – it is not a violation of any law for A.J. to sell his jersey.. You are very ignorant. Snoop Dawg you must be a closet Techie… A.J. did something wrong, no doubt, but we are not perfect – including you. Go vent your blowhard hatred some where else. Real Dawg fans support A.J. and Mark Richt.

Really the kid screw up, He is paying for it. It’s like no one on here ever made a mistake, you all must be gold spoon babies. Get over it, back off, you all loved the hell out him until this and now you wanted to blame him for everything REALLY!! And wishing that someone get hurt well that’s REALLY dumb as hell. But that will come back to you Snoop Dawg, you not a fan. The problem starts at the top, they need to fix. But I think the fans have now got out of control and these young men are seeing who the real fans and the bandwagon. I have read their comments and I have been one of the fans that stands behind them what ever happens. But being this evil is getting BAD. Maybe some of you should grow up. I bet you would not let someone talk to your kid that way. I damn sure would not, it would be your a@@ if you wish bad on my family. That said I AM AND WILL ALWAYS BE GEORGIA BULLDAWG FAN. I REALLY DON’T CARE WHAT YOU THINK.
So guys know that you have true fans and most of them are on Facebook and other networks.
