Georgia has not lost a football game to Mississippi State since 1974. Georgia has not lost in Starkville, Miss., since 1951.
But as of Wednesday night most Vegas sports books had Mississippi State as a 1-point favorite over Georgia in Saturday’s game in Starkville.
These are strange times, indeed, in UGA football.
As you know all too well, Georgia lost at South Carolina for the first time in 10 years and lost to Arkansas for the first time in 17 years and is 0-2 in the SEC for the first time in 17 years.
The next streak on the line is Georgia’s nine consecutive victories over Mississippi State. That streak dates to a 38-14 UGA loss in 1974 in Jackson, Miss.
The schools have played only 21 times in football despite both being charter members of the SEC. They have met only twice since 1997. Georgia leads the series 16-5.
Georgia’s all-time record in Starkville is 4-1, the lone loss a 6-0 defeat in 1951. Georgia won in Starkville in 1982, 1988, 1996 and 2005.
The teams also played three times in Jackson, most recently in 1974. Georgia was 1-2 in those games.

Mobile Dawg….yeah you are right about taking players and making them better….the biggest drawback CMR is going to have is all the negativity that gets started by a fan base and it’s snowballs into an avalanche.
Every coach who has had the war chant of “fire him”, “get rid of him”, from the fan base has sooner or later been out the door. CMR has already done the fire the coordinator thing and that will only earn you so much equity. I am afraid that nothing less than an SEC Championship will derail this train and the “Fire Mark Richt Movement”. The odds are against it.

UGA continues to slide further and further into mediocrity. Your wonder kid DC looks no better than CWM after three games. There are no play makers on offense and the highly touted OL that all delusional bulldog fans thought would allow you to run over everyone has fizzled out again. The UGA offense looks as talented as a MAC or Sun Belt offense at this time. 6-6 this year at best, and it will get Phil Fulmer ugly in CMR’s last season next year at 4-7. GT will own this state for the next five years, so all of your 8/9 rhetoric will be old news. YOU ARE a MEDIOCRE program in the SEC. See you in November, just hope your goons don’t intentionally try to hurt our QB in the bottom of the pile at the start of the game this year. At least you have the Fulmer Cup in hand for the next two years as long as your coach remains.

Learn the score 1st. When was the last time you were above .500??? let alone being in contention on winning the SEC west. Big words little man. How many BCS bowl games has missy st been to???? ZERO! How many will they go to???? ZERO. UGA looks like world beaters compared to Missy st and that is not saying much. Now, go back home schools out!

Just want to clarify this guys….Monkeys A$$ and Monkey says are two different guys.
Monkey A$$ is an illiterate, inbred, living in moms basement, uses the dip stick in his car to comb his hair, never done nothing, former 3rd team Nose Tackle when there was only 2 deep bench warmer, wore a helmet on the short bus through the 6th grade trouble maker . His knowledge and conversations are geared to argue and will no doubt make you wonder if he has taken his meds today.
Just Clarifying.

Dan our offense sucks I agree, but last saturdays 34 was the most points we have scored in Knoxville since 1994. We suck and are still winning. We will be in Atlanta at least 30 more times before MS State ever gets there. Just think about that one son.

I don’t deny that UF has been beating UGA like a rented mule, but for you to act like UGA has not done anything is pure stupidity. FACT: missy st has done nothing……. EVER! Win a major bowl game then pop off! Everyone knows that missy st will NEVER win the SEC west and go to a BCS bowl.
You talk about other teams beating UGA, but when was the last time missy st beat UGA? Need help LITTLE man? 1974. Again, schools out so go home and cry to mommy!

Well, Dawgnation-
By calling true UGA Bulldog patriots “haters” for pointing out the Mark Richt is an idiot, you now get to reap your rewards. Our once proud Tradition is now picked by Las Vegas to lose to Mississippi State. What a sad story. Keep drinking that Koolaid and you will not only go down with the Mark Richt ship but will sink to the lowest depths of the ocean where the bottom feeders live. Let me know how the coaching and game calling goes…

Win or lose, this is where we are at this point. No respect from anyone. This started long ago. Multiplied with the game jersey and helmet crap, Exploded with the punk arrests. This should be put to rest with the firing of Mark Richt.
Replace CMR with a real coach, real man. Please don’t hire another girly, fairy, feminine coach. Players do not respond to a weak leader.

First
There WILL BE an NFL player strike next year.
So, Saban aint leaving Bama for Dallas.
Second
Seems like UGAG is breaking all kinds of records lately.
No reasonanother one cant be broken on Saturday.
I think the odds favor MissySt.
If MissySt wins, UGAG fans will be here whining about cow bells.
Third
Dan Mullen has LOADS of SUCCESSFUL experience playing UGAG.
MissSt is due. I think MissySt will win. Game could come down to a late FG to win.
Fourth
If UGAG does in fact lose to MissySt, all the pssing, moaning, and whinig by UGAG fans will raise the roof in Athens.
And then, the donor “money flow” into the UGA-AA will come
to a giant, screeching halt.
Then, the $h*t will REEEEEEEEEALLY hit the fan in Athens.

I think UGA should win this weekend. I have said this before, UGA lost to two NATIONALLY RANKED SEC teams. There is no shame in that. They just happened to be back-to-back.
PS When Saban eventually retires/leaves they will just promote Kirby Smart and the Tide will keep on rolling. And Saban will leave him a championship caliber team. No rebuilding necessary. Why do you think he turned down UGA last year?

When I moved to Atlanta in April I read how UGA was so great. They were ranked 22 at that time and reading the posts it seems like their fans thought they should have been ranked #1. I saw all the trash talk of beating UF until I looked it up. UGA has beaten UF 3 times in the last 20 years. UGA fans may think it it a rivalry, I doubt UF does. I still expect UGA to be ranked in the top 20 by year end but other SEC teams are just getting better-get used to it. I expect UGA to win this weekend but we will see.

As a State fan I really believe they have a good chance for a win Sat. Night. They Have the right coach in place and are getting better each week. States main problem is they are not deep in certain spots where the bigger SEC teams are. I just don’t understand why some here degrade the team or Starkville. Guess it just makes them feel better about thier team and campus. Win or lose, I will still be proud of them.

Are you taking my nasty red panties, or is Blowbo weraing them again? If Blowbo wears them, you lose, if AJ Green wears them, you lose, if you pass them around the team, you lose and let’s remember dawg fans, if you drink and drive you lose, so you all are losers and you lose in lowly Starkville, MS on Saturday. 1-3 is sweet way to start the season, especially after you all were talking about a NC as usual. Get a grip on life and reality, as you have neither. THWG!
