Last I checked App stat was a good team. It doesn’t matter to me who the ooc games are with. The SEC is tough enough, I was just replying to the guy labelling himself 30-24

30-24,

Dooley usually had a bye week or creampuff before Florida maybe UGA should restart that tradition.

30-21…..yeah….like Idaho State and LA-Lay are real scary opponents. I would say Miami (Ohio) takes LA-Lay easily and App. State runs circles on Idaho State (I didn’t even know they had a football team).

Otto, I can’t understand why he doesn’t. Dooley had UF’s number, and the last time UGA beat UF they had a bye before the game. Now it is before tech…

Otto…

Georgia tried that two years ago if your remember…and Florida played the week before the game….DIDN’T help!!!! Another Florida beat down of the Dawgs.

The game will be closer this year if both Brantley and Murray are healthy for the game. Neither team can afford for their starting QB to get hurt. Neither has a proven, experienced backup.

Right now…the SEC East is a complete toss up between Florida, SC, and Georgia….and I think the slight difference in the teams is in that order at the start of the season because SC has an experienced QB and they have a really good defense. If Garcia plays well…watch out for SC and Spurrier.

they might as well take a break before a team they have a better chance of beating….right?

Tampa, I think you give SC and UGA too much credit. UF’s offense will be more explosive this year with Brantley and their D will be dominate again. What part of Tampa are you in? I am in St. Pete.

82Dawg…Gators schedule was the toughest in the nation in 2008. When was the last time Georgia had the toughest schedule in the nation? And when was the last time Idaho State beat Michigan anyway (like App. State) and LA-Lay went to a bowl game (like Miami of Ohio). When you guys get around to beating Florida again on a regular basis (not just one out of every 4 or 5 years or so) then don’t rag on Florida’s schedule as an excuse for your own failings against a team that has won 2 national championships in the last 4 years…..and have the talent to do so again this year.

Gatorzone…

UGA is going to be much better this year and SC has a really, really good defense. It all depends on Garcia’s play for them. If he plays at a high level all year, SC is going to be tough to beat. The same could be said for Murray and the Dawgs….but I think his lack of experience on the practice field and on the playing field will be there downfall…and probably starting with SC.

TO answer your question….I have a second home in on a white, sandy beach north of you and spend most weekends there…and soon to be living there full time (just too many years for a Gator to be living in Chicago and Atlanta). Time for some fun in the sun again.

Typical response from the GA crowd to rag on FL’s schedule and try to take the focus off the fact that they SUCK!

Until that lame progam wins a NC and the conference on a regular basis, they have nothing to say.

Gators win the East again in 2010!

@ UGA owns –
“Hey Delbert, your choice of comparison for Nesbisco(Crouch?) is not the most supporting one. seeing as he turned out to be a sub-par talent level hack.”

The comparison was between 2 notable option QBs. That “sub-par talent hack” won the Heisman in 2001. This is a college football discussion.

You guys better enjoy tryin’ to convince each other that you’ll be good this year. The first reckoning will come in Jax, where the Gators will (as usual)leave you tryin’ to rationalize what just happened on the way back to the car. Later on, I suspect some grizzled bees are coming to Athens, tired of your BS…..and you all know what happened last time. Remember that second half? Didn’t think you’d want to…..

It is funny to me how the gtu fans have replaced scu fans as the most delusional in college football. I must admit that scu has had more success against UGA during the last 19 years (with out cheating as per the NCAA) than has gtu. I really don’t hate tech, it goes much deeper than that.

Im kidding. Strange to me as well. I figured that would be a “better” game than Tenn, although Tenn will be a big stage game. Ark will probably have a way better offense than SC or TENN

As a Georgia fan, I am very optimistic on the upcoming season. But…until proven otherwise, if I had to bet, I would have to bet on Fla. as SEC champs. Not Georgia, not Alabama. I think South Carolina could be a thorn in anyones side because Steve Spurrier in still an amazing coach. But I wouldn’t trade Mark Richt for any coach in the conference. Our day is coming soon! Go dawgs.

@rogeriter: agreed on your point about the east belonging to florida until we take it from them. sadly the idiot UF fans can say all they want until we go to jax and reestablish ourselves by winning some ballgames.

you can count me among those that think we can win that game, and most of the others, this year; i’m not making any predictions beyond saying that it will be a competitive game and that we’ll have a chance to win in the 4th quarter. this isn’t “delusional” or crazy; this is based on the plausible hypothesis that we’re going to be better than we were last year and florida isn’t going to be as good as they were.
