Georgia will be the first SEC team to start preseason practice when the Bulldogs take the field at 3:25 p.m. on Monday. By the end of next week, every SEC team will be in camp. Each team can have 29 practices, the NCAA-allotted maximum, before the opening game.
Georgia generally will practice every day except Sundays through August, with two-a-day drills planned for only one day (Aug. 9).

Nesbitt could possibly win a heisman, but it will be tough because QB stats are so measured on passing these days. Did Tommy Frazier win one? I don’t recall. He was not brought in to be a running QB, but has adapted well. He’s not the prototype for the offense because he has average speed for a running QB. He has a strong arm, he just needs to work on accuracy.

Eric Crouch, 2001: Nebraska option QB, completed 105 of 189 passes for 1,510 yards and seven touchdowns, rushed for 1,115 yards and 18 touchdowns.
Nesbitt as a junior: Passed for 1,701 and ten touchdowns, rushed for 1,106 yards and 18 touchdowns.

Only 3 power teams in the SEC- Bama, The Gators and LSU: UGA is one of the rest of the mediocre 8-5 teams that lose to Vandy or KY every other year or so. Tough opener.

Thomas had 46 catches for 1154 yards, 25.1 ypc., 8 TDs. The other receivers had 32 catches for 624 yards, 19.5 ypc, 3 TDs.
I don’t know why this is a subject on this blog, but as long as misinformation is posted, I’ll help to clear it up.

Hey Delbert, your choice of comparison for Nesbisco(Crouch?) is not the most supporting one. seeing as he turned out to be a sub-par talent level hack. Oh, well i guess it was a good comparison after all.. So what’s ol’ Nesbisco (b/c he is what we call “Dwyer-sized) planning on doing after college ball? His choices seem *wide open*, all except furthering his football career. Unless he makes the only logical transition to Fullback. I hear Ovie Mughelli could teach him a thing or two about running between the tackles..
