The police report from the Georgia State Patrol officer who arrested Damon Evans in Atlanta Wednesday and it’s a damning document for the Georgia athletics director.
According to the report, filed by GSP Officer Mark Cabe, Evans’ black BMW was weaving noticeably on Roswell Road, which initiated Cabe to U-turn his cruiser and execute a stop. After Evans pulled into a parking space at the corner of Roswell Road and Chastain Drive, Cabe reports that he “noticed that the subject had a pair of lady’s red panties between his legs.” Later in the report Evans admits that the panties belonged to his passenger, 28-year-old Courtney Fuhrmann of Atlanta.
“She took them off and I held them because I was just trying to get her home,” Evans said, according to police.
While trying to conduct a field sobriety test on Evans, Cabe reports that Fuhrmann got out of the passenger side of the car several times despite instructions from both the officer and from Evans to remain in the vehicle. After failing to obey a final warning, Fuhrmann was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.
“I have a young lady and she is intoxicated and I am just trying to get her home,” Evans reportedly told the officer.
Police report that Evans failed a field sobriety test. “Used his vehicle for balance” and “subject kept his left heel on the ground almost the entire test . . . after instructed (to hold it) approximately 6 inches of the ground,” reads the report.
Evans refused a breathalyzer, then began to plead with the officer.
“I am not trying to bribe you but I am the athletic director of the University of Georgia,” the officer reports.
“The subject admitted again that he’d been drinking and started crying,” McCabe writes. Evans asked the officer to take him to a motel.
“I am not going to bribe you but is there anything you can do without arresting me?,” Evans asked, according to police.
When off-loading Fuhrmann at the jail, the officer asked her how long she had been seeing Evans. “Only a week ago,” she replied, according to police.
Fuhrmann also stated: “I promise you one thing: He will get off. . . . It will be erased because he is the Athletic Director of UGA and he has that power.”
Upon dropping off Evans at the jail, “the subject began crying uncontrollably,” the police report says.

SC Vixen, USC is like a monastery compared to Athens. Our AD’s are pretty civil but once in a while our kids get caught playing their music too loud. UGA just took a commanding lead over UT and Florida in the Fulmer cup. UGA has been aching for a championship. Looks like they will get one.

Dude was an epic scumbag. But are you surprised. It’s all over UGa. Look who he learned from……Vince Dooley. Vince is/was as dirty as they come but Georgia fans annointed him as a saint. He isn’t off limits. He hid players in Remedial Studies who had no business in college, paid players and cheated his way to his glory. Don Leeburn is as big a scum bag as all of them. Married to a woman but having a known ongoing affair with your former Gym Coach, who was also galavanting with coaches from previous football staffs. When are you people gonna see yourself for what you are. The worst program in the worst conference in America. But you turn a blind eye to all of it because the tail wags the dog in Athens. Always has, always will. And the Rev. Richt is guilty too. Your kidding yourself if you think otherwise. Take your garbage……..all of it……OUT!!!

I bet he was sniffing those red pantries while driving, just like doing “blow.” We know not to drink and drive and sniff red pantries at the same time. Did he think he was gonna get blowed before it all blowed up? Or maybe racial profiling was involved and the policeman acted “stupidly.” When does Massa ‘Bama weigh in on this?

LOL! That would be their not there before the word division. I would also probably replace the word seeing with the word reading, but of course you may not be able to read, therefore, you sir would be correct when you say “seeing.”

4 days Michael F. Adam$ took.
The whole 4th of July weekend.
I like the idea of 1 of our best women’s basketball players ever, Carla Green Williams, being promoted from Senior Associate Athletic Director / Senior Woman Administrator.
Michael F. Adam$ shouldn’t have any issue with promoting her to be Athletics Director.
If you ask Adam$ for too much, you will not get anything. Florida sports have enough issues of their own. Perhaps beating us in the games is good, but not much else down there has been.
It is wrong not to promote this kind of a person.
She has been a Coach, something that Michael F. Adam$ ignored when he hired Damon M. Evans.
She is really really smart.
She is mature and probably just this side of 50.
When she played for our highly successful Lady Dawgs Basketball team, she could steal the ball, she could shoot the ball and she could pass the ball to her teammates.
When she got out of coaching, she turned her immense talents to educating herself in her field, and she is highly educated.
She is in short a person who knows where we are trying to get to. Everyone loves her. She would be great as our Leader, and there is no reason why she wouldn’t be.
Her Dad is a football coach, and his kids work hard with 11 UGA degrees from her siblings.
We don’t need to pattern ourselves after Florida; we need to beat them.

I don’t know though Doug, before we skip on past the Scandal, there are a few vocal Bulldogs’ fans who need to now be addressed. AltamahaDawg, for example, said it did not matter – that it was a personal issue of Damon M. Evans’ DUI he said. That it did not reflect on The University of Georgia

He doesn’t even know what the ISSUE is, that it was not his DUI, but the pantiless skank for the yes man installed by Michael F. Adam$ when he was not ready and when we had far better candidate, with his gorgeous wife, handsome son and lovely daughter. Now, he is off to Boston and I presume none of those 3 are with him.
Sure as hell is a reflection on Michael F. Adam$ and The University of Georgia.
In your rush to dismiss Evan’s Scandal, you were just as quick to run in here and put heck on tek when Little Joey Hamilton got his DUI (and drugs in his vehicle and leaving the scene of the accident) AltamahaDawg.

“WOW” made the comment about exiling Damon Evans to 20 years of work at GA Tech. Well, that sure would beat living 20 years in Athens, GA by any standard. Also what is this from someone about UGA being Georgia’s flagship University? Are you kidding me?
In any case I had a lot of respect for Damn Evans and the GA program he has helped build. He was the victim of a very unfortunate incident. So what if he was out with another woman and so what if he had a few drinks. This whole DUI business is nothing but a witchhunt.
He was simply doing what many, many men do and will continue to do no matter what. Lay off the guy and look at what he has accomplished in life. Give him a break! He’ll end up getting another good job and laugh about this whole thing later on in life. Take Bill Clinton for instance…. Tiger Woods and Jesse James will also move on with their lives and laugh at the people attempting to pass judgement on them. People who live in glass houses should not be throwing stones…

This seems to be too close for reality. A few minutes before the new contract went into effect makes it seem like a set up to me. I think the dish water blonde was in on it too. Why did she not just keep quiet, stay in the car and put her dirty draws back on. He was extra stupid but I personally think he played into someones hand. This is just my opinion and I am entitled to it. Plus, I am a tech fan anyway so I do not care.
